Hey, just thought I'd change the name of this thread before I made a post in it, It didn't make sense to start a whole new thread when I could just give this one a more appropriate title.

I always have weird dreams. There always amalgamations of my life and thoughts. For example, I once had a dream that I was the character of William Miller in Almost Famous. I was depressed for hours after I woke up. Also: once I was over at a buddy's house at night, and caught a cold whilst sleeping. I got up to the bathroom, but I was so delirious that I imagined that my friend's father (who was quite large) was a gigantic squirrel, and my friend and his brother were hunting him with crossbows. And this was all while I was awake, walking to the bathroom.

Only interesting thing about my dreams in general are that I almost never have nightmares. And when I do which is quite rare, it's always about bees....usually over-sized bees....crap I better not have one tongiht ;)

The only nightmares I have commonly are those about tornadoes, and even those are rare. The last time I had one, I wasn't even afraid. It was like I had become a cynic in terms of tornadoes in my dream.

Sometimes i have bee dreams. Once I had a dream I was in a van with an angry wasp. And once I had a dream I was in a jungle, and was chased by some "white wasps". And then, once I had a cool Jurassic Park raptors dream. For some reason my little sister showed up, on a hospital bed in an attic. :confused:

Yeah, I have tornado dreams once in while. Those are usually pretty cool. A little scary, but not too much. They're more a fascination with the grandeur, beauty and awesome power of tornadoes.

I always dream about planes crashing. They always do nose dives right in front of me. Usually when they take off. What's really scary is a couple weeks before the wtc incident, I dreamed that I was driving on the freeway and planes above me were going to crash, and bodies started falling out of the planes, onto the freeway. http://www.gamers-forums.com/smilies/otn/angry/fix27.gif Then last week I dreamed that a plane crashed nose first in a hanger... and I just saw on the news that a plane crashed in a hanger in like Louisiana or something, killing like 100 people.

I also used to have dreams about dogs chasing me and biting me. But luckily I dont have those anymore. The rest of my dreams are pretty weird. Last nite I dreampt I found the Sopranos season 4 on video. I was really excited. And mad when I woke up. :evil:

Actually, I guess not. I suppose the dream mirrored real life. I dealt with it so much that I lost my nervousness, and just relaxed. Maybe in my dream I realized how unrealistic the whole thing was. Most of the tornadoes in my dreams end up appearing on highways in some big city. There usually like five on a long stretch.

I remember in elementary school, almost every year, the day before school began I would have the dream about going in my underwear. If not before, then soon after. It was more annoying than embarrassing.

I forgot about my school and work dreams. I REALLY hate those. Luckily I don't get them very often anymore.

I wonder what the percentage is between every day ordinary dreams and the really grandiose dreams?? Also, what causes them. I'm gonna guess it has something to do with wanting a more exciting life. It's just that because we're not dealing with physics in our dreams, our brains can invent new ways for us to make that wish come true. Our maybe it's just too much pizza the night before. You're not the only one. I only remember my dreams when I wake up probably 1 out of every 10 nights, but when I do have one, I love nightmares. I don't know why, I guess it's the rush like you said.

I remember little, but I remember that it said pixiness's real name, which was Andrea Pineroth. The history said she took the P from Pineroth and decided to use the name pixiness based on that. The rest I forgot. That night, I also dreampt about my mother and I. We were serial killers. We were about to beat to death this lady that worked at a library. We walked up to her by a mailbox, but I suddenly felt guilty and left. It was a disturbing dream, because I got a taste of what it must feel like to be a murderer.

PT Anderson ended up going to a field and disappearing. I had to skydive through Vegas to get there, and Duke jumped into my hotel room through a window. todd was sort of just there. It was a weird dream.

lol,dude, thats funny.i don't know if im getting out of line but, i been having the same dream for about three months and don't understand what it means. well, its a nightmare to me. i always envision that there is this entity trying to get to my kids.they are only 2 and 4. its the same thing over and over again. im standing in the kitchen drinking some orange juice, (which i find strange because i don't like orange juice) but anyways, i was drinking the juice and the next thing you know my children are screaming at the top of there lungs, MOMMY, MOMMY. i run up the stairs and push down there bedroom door and i see this HUGH black thing hovering over top of my children. it had some kind of light green smoke glowing around it. it was holding out his hand and telling my kids to with it. dude! how strange is that??? i fear for them. im not a religious person at all. im sorry. thats very freaky!

I happen to take antidepressants for my condition, and somedays I get some really WEIRD ones.

One time I dreamed that we were having Thanksgiving dinner, and a gigantic white rat about 7'tall broke down our door, walked inside on his back legs, and began smashing everything.
He grabbed me by the ankles and spun me around airplane style, and threw me off into a corner of the room, laughing hysterically all the while.

He then kneeled beside me and said "How would you like it if YOU were in a cage"? And then he disappeared.

Makes sense to me because at the time I had a white rat as a pet, and I always wondered what would happen if he got loose. I'm just glad he didn't ;) :eek:

I had a dream that I was riding a scooter and I fell of a dock and into the ocean. They sent this helicopter, but they said they couldn't get that close. I think I had to swim ashore.

And dreams about CS-ers: I had a truly bizarre dream with a cameo by Rogue. She was in this giant wave pool (I was standing there, I think) with Tom Cruise standing on a tiki pole. It was some movie, and he had to fall off the pole. There was a rare DVD in which he fell of the opposite way he that he fell off in the film. I owned the DVD, and thought it was cool that it was rare.

See, my dreams are really weird. Usually they're very fragmented and senseless.

I hate people touching my ankles, infact ive kicked a few people in the mouth when they've attemped it. I had a really vivid dream in which i got out of bed and tried to run but someone under the bed grabbed me by the ankles and pulled me under, it was so wierd and vivid that my ankles were all tingle.

Another time I had a dream where the there was a manhunt going on for a killer chimpanzee named Jiggs.

I turned the TV on and they had a film clip of this chimp in a red pair of pants and a striped shirt sitting on top of a lady's head, pulling her hair and muttering all kinds of obscenities with a voice like Donald Duck's.

I woke up afterward, and as I was walking to the bathroom, I collapsed in laughter, because I was laughing very hard, and I was tired from just getting up. My wife came home from work and saw me laughing my ass off on the couch and she was like 'what's so funny'? and when I told her, SHE started laughing and we spent the next half hour laughing our asses off...

i have very odd dreams. most of the dreams that i remember i do remember that the setting seemed to change so quickly, like i'm at a shopping mall and then i'm walking in some old part of san diego or i'm at my old camp with a bunch of my friends.

the last dream i had (which was about a week and a half ago) i remember (thank you). i went to this odd mall and it was evening and i was there with bluebeast and some other friends from school. they were talking and all and i wanted to get into the conversation. i saw one of my friends (lets call him for namesake four eyes :p) and i walked up to him and leaned against a chair to try to get into the conversation. i was wearing a white shirt and jeans (i remember, damn i have too good of memory) and he was wearing black and a black hat (really funny). i was about to say something then i tripped and fell right on him. i got up and walked to the other side of this huge mall. bluebeast told me that it was time for us to get me back to my house or else we'd get in trouble. it was nighttime, around midnight and we were trying to get to the enterance way of the mall but we had to go through and near lots of stores. i remember seeing two stores in peticular. one of them was filled with people and was starbucks-like...yeah. and the other one was supposedly a nightclub but had a hell theme to it and i got scared when we passed by there. we finally made it out (i have no idea how) and we got in the car. it was morning and bluebeast was driving my dad's lexus. the problem was that the car wasn't driving right so i put the car into dirve and junk like usual. so then we get on the road and when were supposed to stop the breaks won't work. so we switch seats and i drive but the breaks won't work too well (we almost crashed into a car, it was very trafficky-like on the road). then i got home (don't remember how though). i went to the living room where my parents and a couple of other relatives from up north were sitting down. they said that there were some people upstairs and there was odd costumes placed on the table in the living room. i went upstairs and i went to my room and found one of my friends from my old school lying down asleep on my bed(the curtain in my room was pulled up and it was very bright in my room same as in my brother's room too). so i went into my brother's room and there i found two of my friends from my high school playing a game in my brother's room. they wouldn't tell me why they were there but i assumed that they were there because they were sick. and then i woke up.

yeah i don't know why i just typed this out (i'm such a weirdo). but there's a nice example of a dream i've had recently.

Last night I dreamt that I threw a huge Xmas party in a mobile home. There were tons of people there and everyone was going crazy. So someone started signing karaoke outside and the cops got called. So eveyone hides inside to avoid the cops but then someone sneezed and the cops knew where we were. So they give us a ticket and I throw at fit. I'm screaming obscenities at this cop (really bad stuff) and she just walks off. So then I see my neighbors who called the cops and I'm screaming stuff at them. So then I get hungry and I go inside to the kitchen. So I open the sliding door to the kitchen and I'm in the pantry and the door closes. So I think that's weird and go back to the pantry. Then I go back to the door and it's open. So I start thinking there's a ghostie. So I get scared and go to head outside and when I open the front door there's a ghostie in a Santa Claus outfit. I scream and run away. And then I realize that it's the ghost of Xmas and that it was teaching me to be nice to everyone at Xmas-time. Weird. A dream with a morale.

Then later I dreamt that I had lunch with David Schwimmer at McDonalds....

Last night I had a dream that I was giving my presentation I have to give on Tuesday but I was naked. I made it through the presentation and got an A :funny: then the lights went off and when they came back on I was dressed in a prom dress and a few people from CS were in the UA ballroom all dressed up in gowns and tuxes. It was almost like after the naked presentation we had a CS Ball/Prom thing. It was weird.

After that dream, yeah it was one dream, I had another one that I was sitting on top of the Arch in St. Louis playing my sax. I got about halfway through my song and I heard a siren (that turned out to be my alarm) and I had to get up.. weird dreams. :rolleyes:

this is one for the guys, and I think we ALL had
this dream: you're asleep and you have to piss like hell, but you're too tired to get up, and so you dream you went to the bathroom instead, and wake up later, hurting like hell and looking like you took 4 Viagra
every 2 hours...hurths like a mutha' ***a, don't it?

Anyway, one time I dreamed I was being chased
thru a dept.store by a pair of pants with nobody in them...all the while my mom and grams were shopping, this pair of blue jeans was chasing me and muttering all kinds of curses and threats, and then it jumped over a display and landed in front of my grandmother, who began beating the hell out of the pants with her folded umbrella. And the pants yelled every time she hit them.

We ran out of the store and into the car, and as my dad sped away, we looked behind and the pants were in horizontal flight, an chasing the car..another time I woke up laughing my ass off. Anyway, it's one of the few dreams I have remembered to this day.

I had a dream like that. I was sitting in a bathtub and I had to pee so I just went in the tub (I know, it's sick.) Then the two girls from Dick walked in (which is weird, because I've never even seen that movie) and I got really pissed off at them for invading my privacy.

i had a dream the other night (that was odd once again as usual, hehe). i dreamt that i was at my high school in the artroom, except there weren't tables like there usually is at the artroom but lots of desks with lots of people. the art teacher was actually pointing a stick at the chalkboard and trying to teach but no one was listening to him. i turned around and i saw my friend ceci-chan. she said something to me but i couldn't hear her because of so many people talking. i got up and i saw a backpack near her (which was my friend that i've nicknamed four eyes). i felt sad and at the same time like i had to find him.
so i went out the backway from the artroom and a bunch of people and this one annoying dude were following me. the annoying dude was saying the usual stupid stuff and then when I was walking towards the center of the school everyone (even the annoying dude) went the other way. I walked past this couple and I looked out around the corner and saw a few people acting stupid. then i felt like i had to go back, but then when i turned around i was woken up (darnit).

I had a really off the wall dream last night. It was mostly about Metal Gear Solid 2, at least the portion I am telling you.

I was Snake, and I realized I was in a videogame. I wanted out, but there was no way to get out. I started looking around and I remembered all the restricted places that I couldn't get into. I stopped working on whatever mission I was supposed to be doing and this nerdy looking guy in a white lab coat came out and tried to calm me down. Obviously, it wasn't going to work. I went along the border of what was the restricted area of a neighborhood and I found a gap. I hoped a fence and sprinted into the beighborhood with the lab coat nerd behind me. I came to a first house and tried to get into the door, and it wouldn't work. I kicked the door till it broke and the entire house vanished and was replaced with a grey block, the size of the house, and the lab coat geek started freaking out about how I just deleted that house. I didn't care, I continued running, and the next house I cam too I could get into. In this house was a table, a desk, a photocopier, and a coffee mug filled with coffee. I assumed this is where the lab coat nerd stayed. I again assumed the photocopier was what was causing all this and I searched the desk and found a pair of sissors. I started to walk towards the copier and the lab coat geek was telling me not to do it, but I unplugged it and cut the power cord in half. Then I woke up.

If I am worried about something I tend to find myself back in my hometown (which I hate)....back and high school, knowing full and well I graduated and attended college.

First, dad was drinking again, in the living room of our old house, and my brother was with me. Dude, last night I had many messed up dreams. First I dreamt that Freddy Krueger attacked a friend of mine so I had to distract him. So I dive tackled him and then he came after me. And he's swiping at me with his claws and I'm running and then I run into this house and double back on him. So I get outside and I realize "Why am I running? I'm Superman" So's I jump up in the air and fly for like 20 feet and then my flight peters out and I'm back on the ground. So I'm pissed cuz I really don't want Freddy to get me. So I try to take off again and only go like 5 feet. So I say, "Screw this, I'm fighting" So I get in a fist fight with Freddy Krueger. And I catch one of his punches and I grab his claws and bend them back so they are useless. Then I grab his hand and start making him punch himself. And I say, "Why you hitting yourself Freddy? Huh, why you hitting yourself?" Then I woke up.

Then later I dreamt that I was having an "good time" with my friend that I'm sorta seeing and we're going to town you know. And then this other girl walks in. And she's hot. So she joins in. Ok...wait don't stop reading. So then I get another knock on the door and the one girl goes to answer it and it's my friend Tim, followed by my other friend Seth, followed by there wives and my mom and dad and all my coworkers and pretty much everyone else I know. And then see what's going on and they are all completely shocked and my mom and Tim's wife starts crying and everyone is telling us we are going to hell and I'm like "this is a perfectly healthy thing!" I was totally pissed because before then it was a really good dream....

Two nights ago I had a dream that I hang-glided off of a mountain onto a runway of some sort then I went around telling everyone about it.

I just had this dream last night. pretty weird (and cool seeing that i've never really had a dream as a superhero before).

The dream setting started in Imperial Beach (nearby my school) in the evening. There was this huge line (supposedly for tickets to some odd version of Comic-Con) that I was in and I was wondering where (my friend) four eyes was. So then I finally got to the top of the line thanks to this dude with dirty blonde hair. I get my ticket and me and ceci-chan go down the escelator in our costumes.
I remember my costume. Pretty funky if you ask me. I had my hair curled, and I was wearing a pretty pink dress (that was down to the top of the knees and was poofy). it was basically consisting of two colors: pink and gold ^_^;;;.
so anyways the dude with the dirty blonde hair and ceci-chan told me that I had to defeat this evil person that was trying to brainwash everyone there. So the dude with the dirty-blonde hair gave me a cool wand with little gems on the top. So I went to the evil person's lair and used my wand to defeat it down at it's dark cave deep within the comic-con.
So I saved the day. When I went out towards the exit it was sunny (and it was the morning) and everyone (including ceci-chan and the dirty-blonde dude) was clapping because I saved the day. I woke up the people who were under her trance and then I exited the place. I was at the mall then and I was with my friend Leslie and we were looking for a certain video at a store for some reason. So me and ceci-chan had to leave but we were at the wrong parking lot (it was starting to get mostly-cloudy and looking like it was about to rain) and so we had to go to the other side of the parking lot and then I woke up.

but hey, it was cool being a heroine (not a herione addict idiots, haha :p)

I fell asleep this evening at like 6 or so watching a movie at my dad's and wokeup about 9. I had a dream that I was at work or something, the setup of where my work was and everything around it was different. It was almost like Applebee's was out in the country and we all parked along a gravel road and walked there.

Well first people came and were trying to kill us at Applebee's. Those people were MCD as Kingpin and some other thugs, which is probably because I had watched Daredevil right before I fell asleep. There was alot of everyone running around and Michael Clarke Duncan laughing trying to shoot people. I think when I was running there was bullets flying, and everything went black for a few seconds then I was suddenly inside the restaurant again so I think I got temporarily killed. Then his thugs came inside and me and some of my buddies that were working decided we were gonna kick their ass. They hid in the bathroom so we busted in and were busting down the stalls and found them. The cops came and arrested them while they cussed and flailed around saying they'd get us back and whatever.

Then I went outside and it was now night time and the wind picked up intensely. My friend's girlfriend was out there with her dog, don't know what that was about hah. It was wierd though because last night when I got off work the wind was insane. It was actually blowing rocks off of the ground across parking lots and was pushing me back it was so strong. I've never felt wind that strong I thought I was gonna see a tornado.

Back to the dream, I was then down that road where a bunch of people were parked in the grass and along the road while we were out there talking and such. There were people my age, older people, little kids, friends, strangers, just a bunch of people all out there talking and mingling out here in the middle of nowhere. Then it started to pour, and lightning and thunder and the wind picked up. It seemed like not even a minute and everyone was in their cars taking off except for a few of us.

I ran around trying to find my car but couldn't for some reason. Then I saw the most beautiful girl I'd ever seen as her and her mom were getting ready to get in their vehicles too. First I was talking to them both, and trying to talk to this girl, but her mom kept distracting me and interrupting us. Then her mom said something about I can't believe how long it's been since I seen you and gives me this huge hug like I was supposed to have known her or something. But it wasn't like a "I used to be your kindergarten teacher" hug, if you know what I mean, it was really weird. But I ignored it because I was sooo attracted to this girl I couldn't take my eyes off of her. It wasn't that she wsa the "hottest" girl I'd ever seen it was just something about her that made me just personally drawn to her. So then I was trying to ask her out and do whatever I could while they were trying to leave and got the same kind of hug I got from her mom. Talk about a little awkward.

After that they were just gone. She was gone, everyone was gone. I finalyl found my car and got in and there was a frickin' funnel cloud across this field. After that the dreams a blur, I don't know if it ended or I jsut can't remember the rest, but that was it. The thing is though when I woke up tonight, it was storming like crazy. It was pouring down rain, thunder and lightning left and right and the wind was howling. Then it just stopped right before I left and everything was calm. When I got home my MOM said she saw a funnel cloud on her way home from work and she was so scared that she pulled over and jsut hoped it didn't come her way. She said it was the first time she'd ever seen one in the 40 years she's been alive.

So the storm and the thugs and the workplace all kind of tie together because it's been storming, I had just watched Daredevil, and I work at Applebee's. I just wish I could actually meet a girl like that in real life. I hated waking up from that dream.

The storms in your dream might signify stress or internal sadness that you are struggling with. The perfect girl that you came close to having but ultimately lost, shows that you might think there are things you want in life that are just out of your grasp, and it frustrates you. Maybe you feel that you can't get a break?

Actually, it sounds pretty good. I'm not depressed by any means, but I would say I've been pretty stressed lately. I just found it weird that I had the storm in my dream as it had been storming terribly here tonight and last night. The other part of your theory, me wanting things in life I don't have, frustration, the whole perfect girl thing seemed pretty dead on. I'm kind of confused as to what I want now. It seems no matter what I do, it doesn't work out. Either I decide I don't want it to work out, and stop trying, or when I do it's vice-versa and I'm left in the gutter. I wish I could just not think about it and have someone come to me, but I know that doesn't always work.

My dreams last night were very odd. I dreamt that I was taking the trip to France and Switzerland I took a couple of years ago, except it was a completely different group of people. Jibbsy, Tardumb, Ty, Kyle, Knerys, and Link were with me. Each person had replaced a person from the group that I went with and the dream played out exactly like the trip had..it's almost like the people I went with never existed and the CS'ers had been with me originally. It was very strange. :confused:

The second dream I had was a lot simpler, but..infinitely more confusing. I was laying on a cloud (yeah it's weird) and I was floating around, almost like the Care Bears did in the cartoon. Cheesy, I know, but it's the best comparison I could come up with. We had a city in the clouds and we never actually went to Earth unless someone needed our help. In the dream, I was alive when my grandfather was having his heart attack and me and someone else went down to earth and saved him and it altered everyone's life..things that happened in my family didn't happen because Grandpa had lived.

It was strange and confusing :(

the dream was setted in some deformed western setting nearby las vegas (well that's what i thought in the dream). i was dressed up like one of those peoples from that time (i think i was wearing one of those can-can dresses) and i was watching these two wagons come into town (that were shaped like coffins). so i went down near the town square and this girl in the barn nearby was this girl who helped build buildings and she wanted me to help her escape this wedding of hers. so she gave me her cell phone and she went to the front stage at the town square.
so i'm waiting at the barn for a minute and then i'm thinking i wonder what happened to her. so i went out of the barn into the town square and i saw her and her friend under arrest for a crime they didn't commit. I whispered to the two that i'd bust them out and when the guards weren't looking i pulled them away from them and we made a run to it. then we were running around on the street through the alleys dodging officers and i kicked some of them to get out of the way. (its bright and sunny at the moment) so me and the two girls climbed up these rows of rose bushes. it didn't hurt them at all but they hurt me a lot when i touched them. so we made it to the edge of the town and they ran off towards vegas (the sun was starting to set and there were a few clouds in the sky as they ran off).

...no i wasn't watching any westerns yesterday...

Well, last night green cockroaches were spilling out of my toilet, and I flipped out, ran to get the Orkin guy, and when I returned, there was one giant one. Then it kind of turned into a videogame and I was fighting the thing one on one. I killed it, but it splurted green goo at me, and gave me a healing thing. Too many videogames on the mind I guess :o

Anyways, my friend told me about a dream he had after we watched Final Destination 2 in which him, my sister, and I cheated death and were marked for destruction. My sister drowned in the bathroom in hot water, I got paralyzed after I got torn in half by a car and put back together, and my friend was about to die when he got attacked by football players.

I had a dream one time that It was game 7 of the World Series, the bases have just been loaded for me, who is on deck warming up... the Crowd is cheering, chanting my name, wishing, hoping that i can come through in the cluch and win it for San Diego... as I turned around to walk up to the plate, A piano is covering the batters box! (Then I woke up confused... Lame dream isn't it?)

I was actually impressed by the dream, because it was so detailed. I saw the DVD and it's cover and even an add advertising a gift pack of SOTL and Hannibal.

Something wierd about my dreams. I could have a dream in a plantation house one night and forget all about. Then 4 months or so later I'lll either have the same dream or I'll have a different dream in the same house and I remember being there while I'm dreaming.

I've had a dream like that before. Actually two times. When I was little I fell asleep in church and I had a dream I was falling into hell. The other one was a current one. I had a dream where I was falling through blue skies in my school uniform with my friend. She was relaxed and I was trying to gain control of my body while we fell through the sky.

I want to have a dream where I am under the stars looking or I am looking at the blue sky on a grassy hill alone with the wind blowing through my hair.

I'm really beginning to believe that our dreams are caused by something that we have done or that we experience while we're awake. I have the weirdest dreams after I've eaten pizza. And almost all of my sexual dreams, I think, are caused by morning wood. It's probably an instinctual response to having an erection. Only my intellect has checked out since I'm asleep and therefore has no way to control how my brain interprets it.

A few times. Or how bout when you die in your dream yet you can still see. You just can't move. You're dead, yet your still aware of your surroundings....such as opening your door and getting shot in the head by robbers. You can't move, blood is spilling out your mouth, but your eyes are still open and your witnessing the robbers ransacking your house and torturing your family.

I had one of my great flying and swimming (mostly flying) dreams last night. I was in my idea of New York city. I was walking through some of it. Part of the dream involved buying dvds believe it or not. There were other elements that I can't recall. Most likely something to do with danger, I think. But all of a sudden, to get where I wanted to go, I just got a running start and began flying. Sometimes in these dreams I'm soaring with no problem. And other times I can barely get off the ground

Boy if someone ever made a movie to match one of these dreams, I'd watch it every day!

Btw, I don't think I've ever had a dream where I was dead. But I did have a very vivid dream many years ago about a witch chopping off peoples heads, but a man on a white horse came along and beheaded her before she got to me. Quite a disturbing dream actually. I believe that's the same night I had one where it was night time and the sky was full of meteors and I was running house to house telling people to prepare because the end was near. I haven't had dreams like that since. Oh, I've had vivid dreams since then, but just not of that sort of Biblical theme. That's been around twenty years ago or so.
