She's Come Undone by Wally Lamb is a great novel about perserverance in a young woman's life. It follows her through her life, the traumatic experiences that happen to her and how it shapes her and how she survives.
Slaughter-house Five by Kurt Vonnegut. If you haven't read it- read it! It's a must read for anyone. 1984 by George Orwell. It parallels so much of society today and what can become in the future if we aren't careful that it's almost scary. A great political novel with a humanistic approach to it.

It goes back to the principle of not wanting to ruin the plot for those who actually want to read it.

Aye yi yi! I forgot Farenheit 451 by Bradbury..talk about your book burners. (A joke for anyone that's read it). It's a great book about the power struggle, both outside and within.

I really don't have a favorite book but I really like Stephen Kings Dark Tower series (which I am currently rereading, waiting for the rest of the series to be released later this year). I also really like Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand and Many of Michle Crichton's books.

This is a tough one. I've read SK's "Dark Tower" books so many times I damn near have them memorized, and I'd probably have to put them at the top of my list. But coming in at a close second would be Orson Scott Card's "Speaker For The Dead" series, the whole thing, with "Ender's Game" being my undisputed favorite of the bunch. But I'm also very fond of Jack Whyte's "Camulod Chronicles". Brett Easton Ellis' "American Psycho" is no doubt up there on my list, as well as various things like "The Church Of Dead Girls," "Murder In The Solid State," "Places In The Dark", et cetera et cetera. The list goes on.

As of recently my favorite book has to be the 'His Dark Materials' trilogy by Philip Pullman (Northern Lights (US: 'The Magic Compass' - which makes NO sense
), The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass) - if you haven't read them yet - do so now.
