Well, you´re certainly entitled to your own opinion, but TRL was in pre-production years before SPR ever made it out of the starting-gate. And there´s a difference between profound and philosophical, and boring. SPR may be entertaining, but it carries very little weight in terms of plot.

Oh, and "princess bride" isn´t underrated. It´s very popular and even on the IMDB Top-250.

"Waterworld". I don't give a crap how much it cost to make, that was a wicked good movie, doomed before it was even released by the yap-yap-yapping of morons overconcerned with the budget. "He can save what's left of you IN A JAR!" Great stuff, great stuff.

Dirty Work & UHF have to be the most underrated movies ever. They're both some of the funniest too.

Dirty Work - "Aw honey, I understand you're upset, hey maybe you'll feel better after we have some dirty sex"

UHF - "Conan: The Librarian"

Mallrats (even though it's got a big following now)
Ghost World (because few saw it)
Enemy at the Gates (just a great movie, but it was compared too much to Saving Private Ryan)
Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace (Well I think it's underrated...)
