I found these on TORN, and they're not sure if these are from TTT EE, or ROTK, but I thought I'd post them here anyway.

The first is One of Faramir's rangers in Osgiliath.

The second is the Uruks' and wildmen attacking that rohan village.

The third is Aragorn in Helm's deep

I was hoping to do it soon, but because of that vid that was put up that showed all that footage, it will be harder because now NEW LINE will be watching every site like a hawk, the second something goes up, it will come down a second later.


Know this though: the stills are very simalair to the stills released by NEW LINE on the official site. Also for those who downloaded that clip, there are scenes in there that are IDENTICAL...

I do post in the SW forum, although I haven't been over there in a while because there is no news on EPISODE III, at least not yet. The last post I put over there was one about my happiness that Chewbaca will be in EPISODE III. Nothing in reguards to SW will happen until next month when the last bit of casting is done and they begin filming in Austrailia. Once that hype begins I will be over there alot.

Yeah, but you have to admit that a 3hr and 10min theatrical cut is pretty darn good. Of course like you mentioned, the EE will probably be the longest version of all the extended films. If you think about it, PJ is adding a full 43 minutes to TTT, he could easily add a full 50-60 minutes to ROTK.

I would call it confirmation, if PJ wants it down to 3hr and 10min, I have no doubt he will get that. I also have no doubt that it will be a spectacular 3hours and 10minutes.

True, but we will get that extra 10 minutes plus 40 or 50 more when the EE of ROTK comes out on dvd. I have no problem waiting for that. Actually I love the idea of the EE dvd, to me there is nothing better than watching a real long great film in the comfort of your own home. You can pause it when you want to, go back, jump forward. There won't be people talking, etc.


So, I think it's a good idea to have the theatrical cut not run so long, I just hated when I went to see TFOTR or TTT and the people sitting behind me started to complain about the film being so long. READ THE NEWS-PAPER PEOPLE, CALL THE THEATRE! FIND OUT HOW LONG THE FILM IS! Don't come in and ruin the experience for everyone else.

The latest I've heard was that Peter Jackson more or less has a rough 4 hour cut of ROTK, and now he's faced with the task of cutting it to about 3 hours and 10 minutes, same thing Jedi has confirmed, which also lends itself to a whole 50 minutes of addtional footage for ROTK EE, which hopefully we'll see before Nov. 2004, since there are no movies to come the following December :evil:

Also, I'm just trying to continue what you were talking about earlier in this thread, Jedi (though there was some uneccessary babbling on my part). So when we don't see new pictures for a bit, and when you go off topic in your own post, it may happen that others do too, so sorry...

BTW, May's come and gone, and the biggest stuff I've seen in terms of big releases of new photos were New Line's 26 a week ago (which still left a lot to be desired), and some of the shots from the E3 game footage. Where are our "spoiler" pics?

It's official. It's not a poster, it is a promo pic from Houghton Mifflin. They are announcing their future ROTK products releases. Things like the visual companion, photo book, etc.

actually... he did die...just not till the end. it was kinda played down so you might not remember it. soo much other good stuff was happening. in the scouring of the shire chapter: saruman is wandering about the shire making empty threats and frodo tells everyone to not harm him. As Saruman prepares to walk away, he stabs Frodo, but the blade turns on his hidden coat of mithril. Frodo once again orders the others to leave him alone. Then Wormtongue stabs Saruman in his back after he says something that angers him. Then three of the hobbits shoot wormtongue with arrows.

I might be a bit late but I saw someone (I think it was from theonering.net) who had been to EA games when they presented The return of the king as a Game. They had several spoilerpics, wich I´m sure that you´ve seen, anyway the EA foreman told that a trailer should reach the cinemas in a few weeks... since then I haven´t hears anything else about any trailer besides a couple of small useless pieces in wich I barely culdn´t recognize anything! So, the question, have anyone heard of something?

The production team got to work on a teaser a while back, we or at least I am assuming its done and has been approved by NEW LINE and MPAA to be released. The question is when it will be released. We were hoping for a June release because PJ said in an interview that it would be out in June. Then we all realized that the prime canidate to host the teaser would be the film DUMB AND DUMBERER, then we decided make it clear that the fans rather have teaser be attached film in July. The month of June has better films coming out. Most of us are hoping for the teaser to be attached to PIRATES OF THE CARRIBEAN.

Then some of the ring websites ran a report that said the teaser would not be released JUNE nor AUGUST, so what does that leave us. Of course the answer is JULY.

T3 is another prime canidate, once again we go back to TTT run in theatres; the teaser for T3 was attached to most prints of TTT. Then again so was the teaser to POTC and POTC stars Orlando Bloom, so there is more of a connection there.

Actually the main film that the final TT trailer was attached to was Haninbal I think and that was rated R, but I'm confident they will stick what you are saying and attach it to a PG-13 film. Not to many people especially younger movie-goers were happy about the trailer being attached to a R rated film. Then NEW LINE released a shortend version with HARRY POTTER.

The Siege of Gondor took place on the dawnless day, where fireballs were launched over the lower wall of Minas Tirith(pic 1). The Battle of the Pellenor Fields was the following day.

Although I think it was pretty cloudy and dull even then.

That could probably be explained by the low resolution of the pic. Usually(or atleast from my experiences) low resolution pics have a reddish tint.....or maybe I'm pulling that explanation out of my ass!

Lately I've been hearing a number of spy reports from extras and such who have been working on reshoots for ROTK, involving Aragorn and Arwen and Elrond in some sort of tents. When Peter Jackson accepted the MTV award, he was in front of several tents, and then Viggo and Bernard Hill come out and chased after Peter. Could that tent village be the spot we've been hearing so much about lately? I'd really like to take a closer look at that footage, if anyone would be so kind. Or, if I'm wrong, then let me know where that set does fit into ROTK.

Yes, I think you're right.

I think the most likely conclusion we've come to is that the tents we've been seeing so much of late are part of the camp at Dunharrow, before Aragorn and co. take to the Paths of the Dead, and the Rohirrim ride to Minas Tirith. It's presumed that Elrond (with or w/o Arwen is unclear) will deliver Anduril and Arwen's banner to Aragorn here.

More like the mortal christ figure(his mother was a mortal woman I think). He also had elven in him which would have ties to Eru/Illuvatar(middle-earths god). He is related to Arwen and Elrond(half-elven) but by a long, long ways.....

Hey, if it sucks(which I'm sure it wont), we always have the books and those great extended editions. The second one, in my mind, wasn't a bad movie. A lot of book fans complain about it being "too violent"......it was fooken supposed to be like that. The epic scale gets raised, and when that happens usually battles start happening and when battles happen, people(and orcs) die........

The books main themes are friendship, love and get this: DEATH

Adt, I completely agree we need a full teaser of Aragorn just as he is above, with the warriors following in the distance. I myself am hoping for a great image or two of the Crack of Doom (not giving anything away, of course, just looking at it or down into it) and then one of Minas Tirith, like below, but hopefully from a better angle.

Not quite, Empire Magazine (a major British Film amagazine) had a free poster giveaway in the April/May issue.

2 A1 posters, this 1 with the LOTR: ROTK logo across the bottom, and the Gollum calendar pic on the other side, then another 1 with Hulk and Ned Kelly on either side.
