Can anyone help me get over my writersblock in my script?

heres the thing, im writing a script called "Final Destiney", it is about a race from another portal taking over the earth and destroying it pretty much, The earth has a protector, an old wise man, he has a pupil with him that is usualy the Earths defender, (his name Kaito).but this peril is too great for Kaito and when he incoincidencly meets up with a young teenager by the name of Mathias he takes him in as his student, knowing he will need allthe help he can gather, and teaches him how to use his "KI" to his speacial abilities (the fighting is a rip-off of DBZ, so they can fly and do those energy blasts). Anyway in the end it is Mathias vs the leader of the race from the portal, Mathias eventualy wins.

this is where im stuck now, after Mathias wins the earth is pretty banged up, were talking everything in rubble and barely any buildings standing. The thing i'm stuck at is i cant just leave the Earth like that can i? thats what is really making me mad, i came up with some ideas but they are cheezy at best, one was that when Mathias closes the portal every damage done to the Earth is reverted, but i think that is too cheap, so i was wondering if any one here could come up with an idea on how to restore the Earth to what it was.

please dont copy my idea for this movie. Any help will be appreciated.

Well the cliche solution is to have the Old Man sacrifice his powers (or better yet his life) to rebuild the Earth leaving Kaito as the new sensai protector.

pick up a book called "story" by robert mckee. it's by far the best book on screen writing you'll ever see.

and if you want to restore earth to where it was don't do it by tacking something on the end to "fix" it. add some sort of subplot to address that paticular issue.

Have the survivors of devastated Earth blame the heros for the destruction, and brand them as traitors to Earth. Under harsh conditions, society gets pragmatic i.e. military police state voluntarily imposed to rebuild. Heros go on the run. Earth is the bad guy now. The rest is up to casting. Those guys can find anyone.
