Is there anything on Alias believable? She is a spy and should keep herself in private eyes, not going around in strange costume and extracting information. So if that was to happen, I won't find it unbelievable at this point.

well my friend's cousin works on the sets for Alias, and my friend said that his cousin said that Jennifer Garner is pregnant and has to cancel this season of Alias after like 15 episodes or something.

Not sure if its true or if my friend just tricking me, but i do know for a fact his cousin does work there.

That is not going to happen because ABC won't let that fly. That is 7 episodes short for the whole season. They can't cancelled the show mid-season just because someone is pregnant. Even if it was not planned, they will have to do something about it. The show must go on.

Did anyone watch this week??? The secret is starting to unravel, IMO. Sloan is bad and Syd is onto him - did you see her speech. SHe HATES him. That might have been the best scene I've seen all season so far. Def. the best ep. Lots of action, humor, bonding with sisters (and a little sibling rivalry...), references to previous seasons...and we are starting to see glimpses of the "big picture"! Its getting so good!

About Kiefer - yes - completely underrated. Much like his father these days. Donald Sutherland didnt always get his due either, IMO.

As for ALIAS - I can barely contain my excitement!! SARK!! Ana!! Its almost too much. I'll be turning off all phones, pulling the blinds and shutting the lights off - NO ONE better interrupt me during this episode. Do you think Sark/Ana will only be on for one episode or will they be on for the rest of the season? Maybe the "big picture" will be revealed tonight! I can not wait!!

From what I've seen so far, I think it's been pretty good. The APO has that similar feel of SD6 and I like Nadia. If something blossoms between her and Weiss something bad is likely to happen (I'm sure something like that is gonna happen). If somebody really dragged the show it would have had to have been Lauren. I never really liked Lauren.

The thing is it was a poor plan. Did they really think that stealing a ID pass and using wasn't going to get the poor person in trouble? It was kinda lamo that Marshall suddenly couldn't come up with a better idea.

Still I like Sam and as someone on another board pointed out, he and Syd had more chemistry in the first five minutes than Vaughn and Syd had in three seasons.

No, I remember from the first season about the woman who bring fort the my [Rambaldi] work will use my work to bring the end to the world. But that was before we know about the sister. We all believe it would be the mom but it is not the mom since the mom said it was Syd. Now there is another part to the prophecy about one of the sister being bad. I think they are doing that so that they put that burden on Nadia. Nadia's purpose of existant on the show is to be killed if she is the woman in Rambaldi's prophecy.

yeah, its good things are finally startnig to pick up. but i still think things have gotten into this state of repetitiveness. the actors seem bored playing their chaaractors, and nadia is a horrible addition to the crew. it would be much better if she was like a rival or something. and we need a good enemy, like SD6 or even the covenant, but theres really no one enemy now. alias is losing its way.

The car accident in the end...totally predictable but I'm still hyped and eager to see what they have instore for the next season. And yeah...all of sudden...Vaughn isn't who claims to be...ok wtf. I'd like to have seen a hint or two of this when he was trying to find if his dad was live but it was too out of the blue for me and I feel a little weary about it.

hey glitterzgurl... i agree. personally, I think the producers and writers of Alias knew Jennifer Garner was pregnant and i think that's why they chose that ending cause i think they could have Jen in the hospital next year and michael is missing so the team has to try and find him and begin unraveling the secrets to kind of give Jen a backseat until she's through with the pregnancy.

Well NZ still hasn't screened Season 3 yet but still I saw the entire Season on DVD. The ironic thing is that Season 3 is available on retail in NZ but still hasn't screened on TV. I find that to be pathetic.

As for Season 4, I just learned of Sonia Braga being revealed as Ilina Derevko. I think that's really cool having such high profile actresses playing the Derevko sisters. Very cool indeed.

Well, Alias has dropped to 70th on the Nielsen's chart, which could mean impending doom for the show. Let's hope ABC will let the producers finish the season at least and wrap-up the story. ABC/the producers have made quite a few mistakes, from moving it to Thursday against Survivor and killing off Vaughn.

Alias will end its five-season run in May 2006, it was announced today by Stephen McPherson, president, ABC Entertainment.

The spy drama, which over the course of its run has garnered seven Emmy Awards, stars Jennifer Garner in her 2002 Golden Globe Award-winning role as CIA agent Sydney Bristow.

“Right out of the box, 'Alias' attracted a cult following of fans that were completely invested in the show," Mr. McPherson said. "J.J. Abrams and his team developed characters that were compelling and storylines that were intricate and engaging, and Jennifer and the rest of the cast brought them to life. We owe both the storytellers and the fans a send-off worthy of a show that has been such a big part of the pop culture vernacular. J.J., Jeff Pinkner, Ken Olin, Jesse Alexander and Jeffrey Bell have an amazing story arc planned for the remainder of the season. 'Alias is not going to wind down as it comes to an end, it's going to rev up, and we're going to make it the event it deserves to be."

Its good that this show is being pu to rest. the first two seasons were pure brilliance. the third was very good too. but the fourth season was just plain dull. the actual spy/action scenes was turning into just the same thing over and over, and the plots wer just very uninteresting. also the actors seemed bored with their charactors, especially jeniffer garner who seemed to think she didnt have to try anymore. and now with new chaarctors in main roles im reminded of the x-files' sad last years. poor alias.

I haven't been keeping up to date recently as I've been heavily engrossed with the likes of 24, Lost, Smallville etc. But I've managed to catch a few episodes into the season what with the likes of this Rachel Gibson chick joining APO after going through the same buzz like Sydney did with SD6.

Not a bad season so far. I just hope with Greg Grunberg's special appearances, the Eric Weiss character won't get killed off momentarily.

It was hinted at during the scene with Jack and Syd on the plane at the end.

And I was really disappointed with last nights episode. :(
I hope they dont go into a storyline about which Syd is the real one, because thats been done so many times on television shows (including Alias) and movies its gotten old.

I was glad that they got Bradley Cooper (Will Tippin) to return he was one of my favorite characters.

We don't yet know what happened at Vaughn's "death." Was he sedated like Sloane and revived later? Was the person who was shot not Vaughn at all? Perhaps we will get answers in the last episodes.

He's not bad, he's just dedicated. Nadia was in the wrong anyway. The hidden code would help APO but she had to get all selfish and burn it. She deserved what she got. Anyway, the prophesy holds true. One sister had to die.

First it was Francie and now it's Sydney that's got an evil clone. Next week looks interesting from the previews especially since Vaughn is back.

The cloning here works, i think, because it puts a new twist on the prophesy. So in fact, syd isnt the promised one, but its now anna. make much more sense as i cant see syd laying the world to "utter desolation". but anna would have no problems with that. so i think for that reason, the coling is a good twist. as long as they use it right in the next few episodes.
i also like that sloane is the nemisis again. seems fitting somehow, at the end of the show.
i put that in spoiler tags, though really its not spoilers since it happened already.

I think that when Sloane says during the preview that he wants to be the one to kill "her" that he means Irina, not Sydney. I still think he could never kill Sydney. Nadia was an accident. He didn't do it on purpose and never would, regardless of what he said to that other chick.

I think that its a good thing ABC moved it to Monday. If it was on this Wednesday it would only be 1 hour long due to the 2-hour Lost finale, and it would be competing against the Idol finale.

Wow... that's all I got to say about the finale. It was bittersweet and great at the same time. The ending was everything I hoped it would be. Except Sark got away, damnit! I guess Vaughn showed him mercy after all.

Jack's part was heroic. Fitting end for Sloane as well. Trapped for eternity. Serves him right. Nice fight between Syd and Irina. People will do strange things for power, in fiction and real life. She would rather risk her own neck and than do the rational thing.

The ending was perfect. What a fitting end to see Syd, Vaughn, "Uncle Dixon" and the kids on the beach.. all while Dixon wanted Syd to go after Sark..

I'm glad it's over but it was a fitting end to it all.

That is probably the best series finale i have ever seen!

I was dreading the finale all weekend because because i didnt want this show to go, and i was afraid that the finale would be bad because every series finale i have seen except for two (Alias not included) has been bad or dissapointing in some way.

Sloane's ending? was perfect in everyway. When Jack was shot by Sloane and with his final conversation with Sydney i was in tears. It was great to see Marshall finally standing up to Sloane, and to see his wife Carrie again. It was also really cool to see the real Francie again, but i kinda wanted to see how Danny and Syd met. And i felt really bad for Sydney because she had to watch both of her parent die in the same day..

Alias is now officially my favorite drama series ever.

Yeah, I thought that ending was cute. It must run in the Bristow family. :lol: It was sad to see Tom bite the dust. I was quitely rooting for him to be with Rachel. Mad props to Jack Bristow for sacrificing his life.

That was a fantastic finale. i loved how jack got the best of sloane in the end. i dojnt really know what the point of the missles were..... but yeah. i liked seeing francie again too. as kind of hoping to see will and weiss in the last episode though, but oh well. loved the flashbacks and the last showdown with her mom.

Well it has taken me long enough to talk about the finale and I will say that I liked it. It was sad to see Jack and Irina go and Sloane definitely got what he deserved. How cool it is that Jack and Nadia will continue to haunt Sloane in the afterlife. Gotta feel sorry for Sydney losing both her parents though.

And it is a shame that Will and Weiss didn't appear in the finale. Oh well we got to see where Weiss ended up and we still got to see Will towards the end.

Nice to see Vaughan and Dixon still alive too. It would have been sad to see Dixon IMHO. He was one of my favourite characters. Find Carl Lumbly some more work soon. ;)

And kudos to Marshall for finally standing up to Sloane. That sure took some guts. Right on. :)

excellent how marshall stood up to sloane..i really like the character of peyton..it was sad to see tom go, but he went like a hero..sark has always been one of my favorites and i'm glad he got away at the end..jack is definitely the greatest character of alias and his fate is absolutely incredible "you defeated death but you couldn't defeat me!" - an exceptional line...loved the irony of sloane's fate, and that irina turned out to be completely evil in the end just as jack always said she was...finally sydney and vaughn together on the beach was great - and what isabelle does at the end with the toys is a fun way of closing the circle - its in the family

I loved Alias as a drama show. I was completely hooked by the end of the first season, but by the third season all the different alliances, and people they were chasing after really had me disinterested, but from the sounds of it, I should have watched the finale.
