Agent Cody Banks - Room Temp
Cute, but not all that good... but the lead was a better actor than the one in XXX. Plus in this movie, random things didn't blow up...

25th Hour - Room Temp
I was expecting so much more from this cast... Spike Lee, Ed Norton, Pepper, Hoffman, Dawson and Paquin. And it just seemed too much time was used to ***** about Sept.11th and not enought on the characters of the flick... expecially the end which was piss-poor. Even so... better than most movies.

DareDevil - Hot
Homerun for Marvel. Not without its faults... the story, the directing and the performances by Mr. Affleck, Farrel, Favereu... nice to see which direction this franchise goes.

Star Trek - Nemesis - Room Temp
The 3rd act kills the flick as it basically become a chase/rescue film... Wrath Of Kahn this is not. That aside... it looks good and is a nice popcorn flick.

Die Another Day - Not
I wanted to love this film, regardless of having the worst Bond theme in history. Jinx was supposed to be an equal and in the end just became a damsell @ the end. Memories of GoldenEye still linger...

LOTR: TT - Hot
in FOTR I really wasn't sold on it and ended up watching it on DVD @ home. This one I saw Midnight Maddness. I was fairly impressed @ the content of the film and like the first one I stayed away from ANY type of spoiler and was pleasantly surprised @ the final product. Even though it was farily obvious that Gandalf didn't die Everyone loves off Gollum... but he was getting on my last nerv by the end of the movie... my sister didn't help by saying talking like him for a couple of weeks after.' Regardless... one of the best of 2002.

LOTR: FOTR - Hot
Having never read anything before seeing it... I had a different idea of how this was going to play out. And Although it was visually stunning... it was very very slow. I can sit through 3 hour movies... but this one required alot of effort. I was disappointed @ the end when I realized that basically it felt that they took 3 hours to walk a couple of blocks.

Austin Powers in Goldmember (2002) - Not/Room Temp
This movie was funny. Unfortunately as a movie being funny wasn't enough as there was some great jokes and scenes... but it seemed like the 'Austin Powers Variety Show'. Michael Cane seemed uninspired, as a movie the first 10mins put it on a high that the rest of the film couldn't par. Worst out of the series.... plus Beyonce? EWWW.

Men in Black II (2002) - Not/Room Temp
This film is basically MIB 1... with some role reversal. It could have been much better if Famke Jasen wasn't called away due to a death and replaced by the godawful Laura Flyn Boyle. Nothing spectacular... but I've seen worse. WHich leads to...

XXX - NOT/Room Temp
From the makers of the godawful Fast and The Furrious comes a new kind of Spy... this movie proved one thing. Vin Disiel is complete and utter garbage... the only reason this movie is barable is the fact that whenever someone else speaks or comes on screen its a breath of fresh air from the air-sucking, charisma-lacking Diesel. Sam Jackson, Asia Argento and Marton Csokas do what they can... but fail. Things explode with the slightest touch and eyes role with each line delivery...

Changing Lanes - HOT
Sam Jackson Vs The Man-Whore Ben Affleck. They shout, they scream, get angry and throw things in a hissyfit first class. Fairly predicable ending, but its the journey there that makes it worthwhile... good performance/cameo by William Hurt.

The Scorpion King - NOT
Garbage... Rock, you prove that you are can rock the mic and work well in the ring... but please, don't think that you can get away with this POS. The ONLY redeaming factor of this flick is seeing Kelly Hu... THAT's IT.

Scooby-Doo - Room Temp
Although Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini seem to know what they are doing and Fredie Prince and SMG don't stink up the flick that much... the movie is lame. And if it weren't for the sets, the little references to the reefer and the stand out performances of Lillard and Cardellini... I would cast this flick into hell to spend enteriniy tourtuing souls.

Showtime - Not
What you saw in the trailers is basicaly the best of this movie... 2 mins of a 95min movie... if that doesn't speak volumes...

Kung Pow! Enter the Fist - I'll Come back to this...

The Tuxedo - Not
A good premise ruined with a crappy script. Both Jackie Chan and JLH seemed willing to make this worthwhile... but it was doomed from its early stages. Just stick to the trailer for the best parts.

The Transporter - Not
Rent Snatch or Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrells... only redeeming factor? Qi Shu...

The New Guy - Room Temp
Fairly funny take on a movie thats been done before on sitcoms and cartoons. Nice cameos and its lightheartedness seemed to stir something in me... plus DUCKSHOOT is in it!

Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis - HOT
I love this flick... I missed it in theatres and I will hate myself forever for doing so. Although slow @ sometimes... the story is fab and the animation/cgi is wonderful. Plus the music gives it a nice touch making the ending and the credits memorible. 2nd best animated feature last year... suprisingly not nominated...

National Lampoon's Van Wilder
A disgrace to the name 'National Lampoon'... to the point that Chevy Chase is rolling in his grave. This movie was done better already... its called PCU. watch it!

Lilo & Stitch - NOT
Regardless of the elvis stuff in this flick (yuck)... the first half of the movie was fairly innovative for a disney flick... seemed different, than the EXTREMELY to a fault family friendly movies that Disney usually provides... although I really couldn't 'like' Stitch and 'Lilo' whined too much... I was grooving on the flick... and then they just mailed the rest of the flick in. It seemed to go into 'We need to make sure this film raps up well so we can make a couple straight to video sequels and maybe a cartoon' and ruins the flick. Not worth watching @ all.

Kung Pow! Enter the Fist - Crap
Yup, it gets its own heading. The only movie in my lifetime to put me asleep (which was a mental defense mechanism to make sure I didn't go blind watching this bull**** on screen). Not funny @ all and the action is garbage... yeah its pretty innovative to do film sampling... but it doesn't pay off.

it is more fun to see things with friend (if only i had some)
but the good thing about Chicago is that most scary biker duudes wont be there since it is a musical it is mostly 30+ adults and the occasionnal 10-29 year old (but most of the time they are females)

there was only like 4 men there (and it was almost sold out)

and it is a good way to get a date
