Why does everyone judge people from the moment they first see/meet them. You don't know the person yet people pass judgement on them and already make their mind up.

Why things work out the way they do is on my mind..I can't get over it. Also, it amazes me how we let little things get in the way of the big picture.

Iben, the web site that Danzig gave you in the "Ask Danzig" thread has a painting called "la noche". If this is not it, then which painting are you looking for? What is it supposed to look like?

Iben
03-19-2002, 04:56 PM
It's not the one, apparently there are more than one painting by that name, it's by an artist called Fernando Botero, and it's a very gloomy picture. It has little grey devils on it and they're sort of floating in the night sky above a church. I've looked every where on the net, and it's impossible to find.

You wanna know what's on my mind, eh???

Ok, but remember you asked!!.....

I see images of freight trains crashing through walls. Smashing bones. I see buildings collapsing. The way I feel now, I see my blood boiling. Bubbling and blistering my skin. Volcanic eruptions of plasma break the flesh.
I want to explode, over and over again. It’s not something I want to end. This isn’t an escape. A cop-out. I want to feel pain. The way I feel now, an excruciating death would be bliss, if only I could come back and do it again. There is no finale. No goal to reach. All my efforts are futile. All my dreams pointless. I’m nihilism personified.
Nothing is new. It’s all regurgitated repetition. Over an over.
The planet becomes smaller while its inhabitants grow in numbers. Where’s the breaking point? When is enough, enough? And who really cares? They’ll be dead before it’s a problem. And even if they’re not, they’ll die when it is a problem. Either way, they’re dead. Same predictable conclusion. No surprises.
We've reached a point in society where greats are not remembered for their accomplishments, but their movies. Actors. Plastic front men for a faceless industry. Great men have been replaced with great looks. There are no inventors; there are inventing teams. The backers get the credit. Money decrees greatness. You can buy a page in the history books with enough cash. Ideas aren't thought of; they're patented. Laws protect criminals and reward swindlers...

Again, you asked.......

Dr. Scratchansniff: Wakko, what's on your mind?
Wakko: My hat.
Dr. SNS: No, your hat is on your head. What is on your mind?
Wakko: My... skin?
Dr. SNS: No...
Wakko: Oh, I got it! My hair!
Dr. SNS: No, you stupid kid! Your hair is on your head! This is hair. This is hair! <rips the hair out> It is not on my mind. It is on my head!
Wakko: No, its in your hand.

Guidence wisdom and knowlege I will dispense as much as humanly possible to anyone who needs it. My personal life is not so much a thing for the public boards however. Suffice to say there are a lot of changes going on in my life right now. It's one of the reasons I haven't been posting as much lately. It's not meant as an offence or anything it's just that there are a few people that I talk to more out there and who know what's going on because I talk to them more. I still consider you all good people but his is one of those on a strict confidentialaity basis not something for public discussion.

Hmmm, currently I'm wondering just how I can juggle the following - furring a Pleistocene cave bear, 2 cubs and a couple of wolves in a cave in mid-Wales, visiting a producer to discuss a set design for a kids TV show, sorting out and sending a folio to a film company in Canada, carving a cave interior out of polystyrene in north Wales,(what is it with caves at the moment?), having a lunch break (which is where I am now) and keeping my cat on a diet when he just won't stop pestering me for food at the moment!.

That's enough to be going on with at the moment I think? :p

I just had a weird, random thought go through my head. I don't intend for this to be offensive in any way, but I heard on last night's news that since the WTC is gone, the Empire State Building is now the tallest building in NYC. My random thought: Empire strikes back?

I'm sorry. I really did not intend for this to turn into Right Now 2, it was supposed to be a thread based about what was on your mind, but I guess it was a bad idea. Do with it what you wish.

You can keep it, there's obviously no stopping it. I'm just a little annoyed because it seemed to me you were trying to bypass the problem I had with Right Now by making something with a different title but with the same purpose.

The thread can stay.

The entire point of this thread was for people to say what was on their mind as in why is it that everyone always puts so much pressure on themselves to achieve what society tells them they should?

stuff like that not I'm hungry, or what movie I should watch

The thread was my idea not Rogue's also

Why is it that we elect people to political office who are just going to screw us one way or another? The ones who keep it real never win! For example, here in Houston, TX, we KNEW our mayor was an incompetent ****, but when he came up for re-election, he wins again. Ahh, the power of inertia!!!

Great Line from Kay in MIB:

A *person* is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals and you know it.

That's exactly how I feel when election time votes around. Herd mentality, not a shred of original thinking. Realize all sides haves positives AND negatives, THEN make your choice. I tell ya, I gotta run for office one of these days.
