Too bad I missed the discussion on Christmas. Even though its a few pages later, I wanna add my two cents worth. In an English class I had last year, we had this same discussion (only there were no Danes! :p ;) ) My instructor had been doing some research on that and she told us that the Catholics were trying to pick a date on which to celebrate Christ's birth. From all historical points of view, Jesus was born in the early spring. The Catholic, who were trying to convert people, decided to celebrate Jesus' birthday a few days after the winter solstice, which, by the way, is a pagan holiday. The Catholics figured they could get rid of one pagan holiday by replacing it with the celebration of the birth of Jesus, which they decided was December 25.

On a happier note, I got damn lucky with work today. My boss left a message on my voicemail that I needed to call work after I got out of class..I called and he said he didn't need any of his CNA's today. So I have the whole afternoon free, bwahaha! :D But on the downside...I'll probably have to work three times as hard tomorrow.
I’m thinking I had a terrific night with my friends and that I’m soooo glad I spend those 4 hours this afternoon doing homework so I won’t have to do them now.
I’m also wondering how I’m gonna get the courage to ask my boss if I can get a weekend off…shivers.
And I also really miss my someone right now…sigh:(

I’m thinking I had a terrific night with my friends and that I’m soooo glad I spend those 4 hours this afternoon doing homework so I won’t have to do them now.
I’m also wondering how I’m gonna get the courage to ask my boss if I can get a weekend off…shivers.

Yeah, I have a multi-novel idea that has been mulling around in my head for a while now. I have written down lots of ideas but have yet to start a story. Everytime I sit at the computer I just don't want to do it but I constantly get ideas for it.

my only problem(personally) with writing a novel is that i rely to heavily on negative space. you cant really ahve any negative space in a novel. but you can have negative space out your ass in a film. look at reservoir dogs. ha. they never even show the main subject of the film.

Lately they seem to show "Sorority Life" nonstop. They only really show videos after midnight...TRL doesn't count because it's always the same 10 videos.
