It's getting late, and I should probably go to bed. I have a very long day ahead of me tomorrow. A wedding and 2 receptions. Plus we are going to look at a place that we are thinking of moving into and we are going to have lunch with my sister-in-law, brother-in-law, and his wife and kid. I feel worn out just thinking about it.

I feel for you, seriously. Every other weekend I have that same thing. I work 24 hours on Sat and Sun and another 6 on Mon at my part-time job as well as my full-time job. So I understand how much it sucks to have to work on the weekend, without a day off, and then have to go to school (work in my case) on Monday.
Yeah it really sucks...it would be nice to get to sleep in and just do nothing.

Does anyone here watch the History Channel? Well, I was watching it tonight, and there was a show called "Basic Training," where they follow recruits from their first day of Basic, until graduation..I guess they go to a different post every time. Well, this time they went to Ft. Jackson, SC. Its the exact same place I attended basic at. It brought back a lot of memories...but to be honest, 6 years later, all it does is make me laugh. I guess its not really funny..but knowing that I already did that...and the fact they're at the same post I was at. People say that basic had gotten a lot easier when I went through.....but it seems like its gotten even easier now....I guess thats why its so damn funny to me. I guess I can't really explain it... If you'd been there, and were watching the same show I was, you'd probably laugh too. Okay...enough of my babbling....thats just whats on my mind. ;)

Well not that particular show, but I laugh when they show happy people at Walmart in commercials....true I have never worked there, but the one near where I live...they don't look like they've recently seen this happy smiley face flying around chopping prices!

She should be back after Aug 26th, but I wouldn't expect her back any sooner. And she's doing very well.

I call them and hit the numbers so I'm going to someone for specifically taking things OFF my phone service, and she tries to get me something where I would end up paying 10 dollars more! I mean come on! I had to rip it out of her that there WAS a cheaper plan that I could get. First I'm told I have the cheapest plan, then finally later there is a cheaper one. then finally afterwards she tries to sell me a few other things. This wouldn't be so annoying if everytime I've had to deal with them (even before I had a phone line here) they've been a pain in the ass.

I am happy to be at home after a very long day. I have been editing a half hour long political infomercial the last couple of days, and it has been hectic. That is why I didn't come on earlier today. I started working on it at 8:15 this morning, and was never away from the non-linear editor for more than 5 minutes today, other than my 15 minute lunch break. I worked until 5:30 on it, then had to go back in at 7:30 tonight to finish editing it. I got done at 9:15 and it is going to air tomorrow night. People really need to learn to plan these things a little more in advance. But I enjoy doing long-form videos.

I've been to the wedding & reception, and wedding reception of 2 friends (2 different weddings) this weekend. Bad news. Monday, I'm going to have to get surgery on my leg. In the crash, a chunk of the clutch impaled my leg. They removed it, but a small piece of it apparently was still in. I hope it turns out okay. If everything works out, then I'll be able to come back on the site in a week. But I'll still be around till Sunday night.
Right now I'm feeling pity for two of my friends at work. Today they spent two and a half hours cleaning out the two feet tall, three feet wide grease trap for our sinks. This thing had about six years worth of butter (it's really oil :eek: ), popcorn seeds, hair, and God knows what else in it. They used an ice scraper and a putty knife to get rid of the grease lining the inside. Not to mention the raunchy foot of water at the bottom they had to scoop out.
But the sinks do drain a helluva a lot better now!
