Actually, I have something on my mind as well. I bought a pair of camoflauge pants today at an Army Surplus store in town and I was just admiring them. I think I am going to wear them to work tomorrow.

Since we're almost through with Vacation Bible School at church (and I'm almost done chasing a bunch of 7-year-olds all over the place), I have to tell about Monday night! Right before everybody went to their classes, a bird flew into the church. I already had my video camera with me so I could get some video footage of everything for my friend Adina, who is recovering very quickly from her back surgery. Anyway, it took several of us about 15 minutes and a lot of effort, noise, and the use of chairs to get that poor bird tired enough so we could catch it and let it out. It was so funny and I caught a little of it on tape! Adina is going to have a good laugh when she sees that.

It depends on the star size really what happens. If its large enough, it will explode, otherwise it may just collapse, and if its smaller than that it will just burn out.

As for our sun, some day it will release a layer which will...kill us all (billions of years from now) and become a red giant which will expand almost to us....then some day it will burn out.

We didn't REALLY evolve from "apes", they were ape-like. Apes today are not like those apes, they are like the ones in the movie 2001: A Space Odyssey. Everything is evolving in one direction or another, nothing stays behind.

Wow, I just caught the conversation going on. I have a slight opinion on it. I believe if we are going to have any immediate cycle of evolution, it will probably happen on a technological level. In fact, its pretty much happening right now. Look at how many years humans have existed on this planet, then loook at the last 150 years... a mere speck of dust on the human timeline. But look at how far we've come in the past century and a half. We might not be adapting physically to our habitat, but we are adapting, even if most of the conditions we are adapting to are conditions we created ourselves. Think of how far we'll go in the next couple of centuries. Kinda boggles the mind. Its very possible we could be scoping out a safer solar system to live in that is revolving around a more stable sun. Or, we could very well blow ourselves up before the end of the week.
