Carlito, Shelton Benjamin.. all these wrestlers need to do the same and paint themselves on Top Wrestler Picture before Vince hires some muscle monsters again that take all the fame. They need to slap themselves into success. I say it again HHH, HBK, Undertaker, Batista.. They are not gonna be there forever. yeah they need to realize they can be the Top Wrestler Main Eventing. Just like how there is no more Hulk Hogan, Ultimate Warrior, Randy Savage, Bret Hart, Stone Cold, and The Rock. the wrestlers i really miss seeing wrestle are

Stone Cold
Brock Lesnar(yes i know he is going to the UFC, but man he was awesome in the WWE)
Bret Hart
Mr. Perfect (R.I.P)
Kevin Nash as Diesel
Scott Hall as Razor Ramon
Taz
Eddie G (R.I.P)
Owen Hart (R.I.P)
Chris Benoit (R.I.P)

Thing about these wrestlers is they got to become popular with the fans to get big things. Look at Jeff Hardy, I said some time back that he would be great to carry a WWE Championship role, and he is. That Steel Cage Match against Umaga was really nice and the finale was just Jeff Hardy Trademark finish. And look he has been back for over a year now, fighting week in and week out, putting new moves in his arsenal, fighting matches to get popularity. And he did it, he climbed up the WWE Ladder the right way, like HHH and HBK. And now he's gonna main event Royal Rumble.

Jeff Hardy has gotten lucky in my opinion in a way. He has been given lots of chances and is finally realizing that if he blows this one then he is done. I have read that Jeff's push as Main Event might not last much after Royal Rumble because they are not sure if he is ready to be Top-Tier yet. I think he will make a great Top Wrestler one day but I think he needs to remain in the hunt for awhile.

As for Carlito and Shelton these are two wrestlers that think they are owed something. Up until last month Carlito wanted out because he was not happy with how he was being used. He was not being used much because he was not training and not selling moves in the ring. Vince and Carlito worked out some differences and now he is being teamed with Santino. Shelton has been in the WWE Doghouse for awhile now. Before they brought Haas back he was not training with other wrestlers and not selling moves or storylines in matches. He got a high and mighty attitude and thought he was a Top-tier wrestler. When they brought Haas back I thought it was going to be a change for Shelton and the reformation of a great tag team. That does not seem to have happened and now he has been shipped to ECW. Maybe he will realize he needs to work harder again because he has got great talent and could be a great wrestler for years to come if he works at it.

I wouldnt want him going there. He just needs to slap himself, undye his hair, wear wrestling gear and work on a good story line. If Jeff doesnt get the title which unfortunely I think he wont, he could feud with Benjamin for the IC title. Those two would make great ladder and cage matches.

Found this over at Rajah...

Source: The Wrestling Observer Newsletter

We reported earlier that The Wrestling Observer Newsletter had noted a big name of WWE's past - a multi-champion superstar was set to return with the company.

The January 14 edition of the Newsletter confirms that former multi-time WWE Champion Paul Wight - The Big Show - has either signed with the company or has agreed to a deal, and will be starting full-time very soon.

Big Show is down to 440 lbs after leaving pro wrestling to rest, and pursue a possible career in boxing, which obviously included boxing training that got him in quite a good shape. Dave Meltzer also mentions in the Observer that a part of his boxing deal was that Hulk Hogan was to be his "front man" acting like a manager in wrestling for him by doing promos and appearances. This was also the main reason many boxing promoters were actually interested in Big Show and paying him so much money to learn the sport. These plans, however, fell apart at some point, and Show realized that at his age, boxing might not be the right direction to go anyway. There have also been no recent updates or even talks of Hogan doing his own wrestling tour - a very discussed topic of the past. Hence with nothing on the horizon, Big Show is back with WWE.

news about Sting and Randy Savage dvd, from rajah.com

According to the Wrestling Observer the Sting and Randy Savage DVDs that were scheduled for release this year are cancelled. Kevin Dunn was told to create a list of "big names" that WWE could release DVDs for. Among the other names he came up with were Steve Austin, The Rock and Mr. Perfect. Vince McMahon nixed the Sting and Savage DVDs because he still wants nothing to do with Savage and Sting recently signed a new deal with TNA.

At the Rumble? Or before the Rumble? He is slated to be in the Rumble come next Sunday but needs to "qualify" this Monday. It will not be Big Show because it is being reported he will debut soon after the Royal Rumble because they don't want him to be viewed as "One of the 30 Participants".

All returns usually happen after a big PPV so as not to tone down the storylines they had been building up.

As for going with a Handicap match, those take a little more time and unless you plan it out ahead of time they don't work as well.

True but unless they were going to have him win it why would they have him return and lose right away? If it is a big name wrestler the would not want him to get buried right off the bat. That is one main reason that Big Show will not be returning until after the Rumble.

Both wrestlers have been rehabbing from injuries. Bobby should be returning within the next month. His rehab was a little more difficult then originally thought. Candice will be back in a couple of weeks. She is still rehabbing from a top rope injury she had last fall. My roommate met her at CES a couple weeks ago and she told him that her return is about a month away.

Well this was just posted on Bobby's Message Board.

Bobby Lashley posted on the message board of his official web site today that he will not be returning to WWE. Below was Lashley’s message:

I am sorry to everyone here but I am serious when I say I won't be back. Everyone wants to come here and hear the real story and I am telling you the real story. Circumstances which are out of my control left me no decision but to leave the WWE. I can't go into details of this now but like I said before sometimes people will hate you personally and try to destroy you which has happened here. Evil has prevailed however like I said before if you continue your struggle doors will open around these people. You have not scene the last of me so please don't stop your support. Add Bobby Lashley to the list of RECENTLY RELEASED!

We will have more details on this shortly.

OK this information is now being reviewed and may have been posed by an importer. Until WWE officially announces anything it is all hearsay. Sorry to jump the gun on posting the info

He did an interview overseas where he said he will be at WrestleMania but probably not on Camera much if at all and most likely not back in the ring until close to June. In May he is suppose to start filming the next WWE Film, "12 Rounds". It is similar to "The Marine' in the fact that instead of playing a Marine whose Girlfriend/Wife is kidnapped he will be playing a Cop whose girlfriend/wife is kidnapped.

Looks like Bobby is gone from WWE.
We are now able to confirm that Bobby Lashley is gone from World Wrestling Entertainment. In a phone call placed to WrestlingNewsWorld.com’s Ryan Gray, Lashley said that he is gone from the company. While he would not give any specifics he made it clear that he did not want to leave but had too due to circumstances beyond his control.

Lashley told WrestlingNewsWorld.com’s Ryan Gray that he was training hard for a potential career in Mixed Martial Arts. The former ECW Champion said that despite the fact that he wanted to pursue an MMA career, it would not be with UFC.

Lashley would not comment on whether or not he would be interested in going to TNA Wrestling. He said that WWE has granted his release but it would not be announced until the paperwork was finalized.

I met Lashley when he was training here in CO a few years back. Very cool and personable. I think his biggest drawback in the WWE was his mic skills. I think if he would have had a good manager who spoke for him he would have done better within the company.

Hey most of the Wrestling Conventions do charge for Autographs, that is how they make most their money for appearing.

The 2 WWE autographs I have right now are from Torrie Wilson when I met her a couple years ago and Candice Michelle that my roommate got for me at CES a couple weeks back.

No like im saying, I thought like they liked to appear, give back to the fans. I didnt know they would charge you for giving an autograph... that sucks hard balls.

And damn you got the autograph of probably the hottets women wrestlers ever.

yo that sucks, right now ECW should just blow up and kill the franchise for life. Nothing against Chavo, but the only time i ever saw him use any weapon, was that chair he used on Rey and injured him. This is really gay. I dont watch ECW for a long time now, now im definitely not even if the other show is a marathon on bees

IamMrDJ, I've got a question for you: when an aspiring wrestler joins the WWE, they're sent to development, right? How long does that usually take?

The reason why I asked is because last August, the WWE hired a new acquisition, and is in their development division now. Her name is:

http://www.legendschampionshipwrestling.com/uploaded_images/l_eeb428476e28aeeff1a3b01f09869682-727205.jpg

LACEY VON ERICH

I know this isn't breaking news, or anything, but:

1. She just so happens to be the daughter of the late Kerry Von Erich!

2. With the women's division on RAW being in the shape it's in right now, she'd be a more than welcome addition to the WWE.

Development can take a wide range of times. Some wrestler have been in development for a couple of years. It all depends on how they are progressing in the development of their in-ring skills and even mic skills. I remember reading a headline in the last week or so about Lacey saying that her development is taking a bit longer because she is not putting in the required effort. Instead of training she is out of town hanging out with her boyfriend. I will try and find the news article later after I get home today.

Yeah I am trying to figure out who wins the Rumble tonight and whose title they will go after. If a Raw superstar wins the Rumble and goes after the SD title then the Raw Wrestlers will be part of the Chamber to face the Raw Champ. Based on the No Way Out poster with Jeff hardy pictured I think that whomever wins the Rumble tonight will go after the SD title. I am not sure if they would have taker win the Rumble 2 years in a row. But I am starting to think that possibly the newly qualified CM Punk could pull out a victory tonight and challenge the Edge/Rey winner.

HHH: Alright guys concerning tonight, may the best man win.
Batista: Yeah, the best man will win.
HBK: Guys, guys, come on, we can all agree on one thing... That the VERY BEST will win... And he will be wearing the new HBK T-Shirt *Pulls up the shirt* available at wwe.com

I was at my parents last night so I did not keep an eye on the Rumble. My friends and I had ordered the last 7 rumbles but this we decided not to because we had been a bit disappointed as of late. Looks like we made a bad decision. Overall, the card sounded great going in except for the JBL/Jericho match. I have no interest in that one.

The title matches sounded like solid matches as did the Flair/MVP match. the Rumble match delivered on all fronts. For the first time in quite a few years I did not have a true idea of who would win. Whether you like him on not Cena's return last night was one of the biggest shockers in years. Not a word was mentioned online about his possible return to the ring last night. Most reports coming out had him a 2-3 months from returning. I have to give props to the WWE for finally keeping something a secret. It will now be interesting to see where storylines go from here. Could we see HHH vs. Batista at Mania? Orton vs. Cena and Edge vs. Taker?

Another friend of mine recorded the Rumble last night and is saving it until I get over to see it. I am looking forward to seeing how it all went down last night.

Your right, apart from the JBL and Jericho match, which was very short, the Rumble was very good.

info about Cena's return

When John Cena had surgery four months ago to repair his torn pectoral muscle, WWE reported that the recovery time would be 6-9 months. Recent interviews by Cena confirmed that he was still on that same recovery schedule, which made last night's return at the Royal Rumble a huge surprise.

When John Cena and WWE received word that he was physically cleared to wrestle, they immediately decided to keep it a secret to mislead people as to his true health status.

News about Cena starring in the new WWE Films project "12 Rounds" is true. What wasn't true is the time it will take to film the movie. Cena told the UK Sun newspaper last week that it would take 5 months to film. In reality, this was greatly exaggerated. WWE has applied for permits to film in New Orleans, which will take 4-6 weeks.

Because Cena will be filming in the United States, he'll be able to make appearances on WWE television leading up to WrestleMania.

Seeing how the WWE knew that Cena was returning 2-5 months earlier than they let on, what does that say about the hype over Y2J's return and the whole saveus promotion. Was the WWE just panicking and trying to fill the main event card or is this just a matter of bad timing for Jericho's return, both for him and the fed? It seemed to me he was hyped to come in and take out Orton, then this whole JBL/Y2J thing has bogged that idea down to mid card status. Maybe Vince just doesn't believe Y2J can draw as the top main event star in the company?
Also, I agree about ECW, blow it up and hold a draft of sorts and split the roster between RAW and Smackdown!!

IamMrDJ

WWE found out 2 weeks ago that Cena could return early. They did not know a long time in advance. Y2J was rumored to be coming back for quite awhile even before Cena went out. HBK's return from injury actually came on the heels of Cena going down alst fall.

Finlay vs Khali is just a quick one I came up with, cancel that one.

Beth will most likely be facing Maria because she is the Playboy Cover Model at the time, and as tradition goes the Cover Girl gets the title shot.

Victoria has stated in numerous interviews that she wants to win the Cruiserweight title this year.

WrestleMania XXIV is expected to be the clumination of Ric Flair's retirement storyline and his final match in WWE. Two names that have been discussed as possible opponents for Flair have been Mr. Kennedy and Shawn Michaels. It now looks like Shawn Michaels will be Flair's final opponent.

Two independent sources within WWE have confirmed that the current plan is for Michaels to end Flair's career and that Vince McMahon has already approved the match.

We will see what plays out in the coming weeks but that is the current scenario being discussed.

This will be a great match.

No screw that, Taker will HAVE to win. Bury Edge alive, oh man I would adore that.

HBK vs Flair is actually a very good match, an excellent match. For the Icon to defeat THE Icon, would be great.

Also has anyone ever played Smackdown vs Raw or any wrestling game? Have you seen some match called Battle Royal, but its not of throwing over the top rope but with pin or submission and its like 6 wrestlers at the same time. That would be a great match to see.

yea ive played the SD Vs Raw games. i love making PPV's. god i used to be a big nerd with that lol. i would have the computer do everything.

i had Eddie G Vs Edge Vs Kurt Angle (SD Champ) as the main event for WM, and Edge literally stole the match. somehow the ref got knocked out, Edge got a chair, hit both men. pinned Angle and the ref counted the 1.2.3. lol so weird.

what match would the Battle Royal be for? like what stipulation.

No Way Out Spoilers and Mainia Plans...

source: www.f4wonline.com

The plan right now is for John Cena to wrestle Triple H for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, which means Cena is winning the title from Randy Orton at No Way Out, which takes place on February 17 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. There have also been talks of doing a three-way match at WrestleMania between Cena, Triple H and Orton. Either way, Triple H and Cena are definitely going to be in the title match.

It will be revealed on tonight's edition of SmackDown that not one, but two Elimination Chamber matches are taking place at No Way Out; one featuring Raw wrestlers and one featuring SmackDown wrestlers. The wrestlers competing in the SmackDown Elimination Chamber match are as follows: Batista, Undertaker, MVP, Finlay, The Great Khali and Big Daddy V. Plans call for Undertaker to win SmackDown's Elimination Chamber match at No Way Out, which means that it will be Edge vs. Undertaker for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. WWE has been planning a Taker vs. Edge WrestleMania match ever since Edge's move to SmackDown last spring.

here is the result of the UFC debut of Brock Lesnar

Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir
Heavyweight Fight

Round One:

And, we're off!

Lesnar shoots for an immediate takedown and gets it, landing in Frank Mir's half guard. He pounds away at Mir from the top, and Mir works hard to escape.

It turns out that Lesnar hit Mir in the back of the head; Mir gets time to rest, and Lesnar's been docked a point.

Mir tries for a kick, but Lesnar counters with a right hand that drops Mir. Lesnar gets on top and keeps throwing hands. Mir uses his legs to create distance, but Lesnar keeps coming.

Lesnar then tries to work through Mir's guard, but in the process, he gives up his leg, and Mir secures a kneebar to get the submission. Incredible change of pace.

Frank Mir won via submission (kneebar) at 1:30 of Round One.

what a disappointment. i read that Kurt Angle was in attendance.

I wonder who will be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame this year? IamMrDJ, do you think it's possible that the WWE will finally induct Owen Hart?

Also, I don't see them inducting Chris Benoit, although stranger things have happened!!!

I have heard Rumblings of Flair getting inducted this year when he has his final match. But I was just thinking this last night. By this time last year they were already listing names for the Hall of Fame. I wonder if this years class is going to be smaller and they are waiting for after No Way Out.

I would like to see Owen get inducted and possibly have Bret there to accept the award. But if they do that I think they should also induct Davey Boy or Bret's old tag partner Jim Neidhart, his daughter is in development and could present him his award.

A month or so back it was rumored that both Rock's Father and Grandfather might be inducted but t was depending on Rock's schedule at the time because they wanted him in attendance for it.

i was looking through the current HOF members and one that stuck out as not being there but is in good standing with the company is "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase. His son is also on his way up to the main roster now too so that could be another inductee.

Also, don't look for Chris Benoit to go in for at least a few years if ever. It has not even been a year since the story and truth broke about what happened.

ZombieMan
02-05-2008, 06:40 PM
I don't think that Benoit will ever get inducted. He has been removed from everything that the WWE has of him, as far as I know. As for Flair, and DiBiase, I think you are right. They will probably get inducted this year, which wouldn't be a bad idea! I'd love to see Flair get it, at least. As for Owen Hart, he deserves it! I want to see that happen. :)

Breaking News: 'Friday Night SmackDown' Leaving The CW At End Of 07-08 Season

Friday Night SmackDown will cease to air on The CW at the end of the 2007-08 television season, which concludes in late August. WWE issued the following press release earlier tonight, which can also been seen on Yahoo's Business page at this link:

WWE(R) SmackDown(R) Leaves CW
Thursday February 7, 11:47 pm ET

STAMFORD, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The following statement was issued today by World Wrestling Entertainment®:

After a successful decade of “SmackDown” on both UPN and The CW, World Wrestling Entertainment and The CW have agreed to conclude our partnership. Since The CW’s exclusive negotiation period ran out as of last Thursday, January 31, we have been contacted and have been in negotiations with other networks. “WWE SmackDown” will continue to air on The CW until the conclusion of the 2007-08 broadcast season. We are grateful to Les Moonves, Dawn Ostroff, and their entire organization for bringing “WWE SmackDown” to millions of viewers for so many years.

http://rajah.com/base/node/11072

I am not sure what network WWE will look for now to host SmackDown. The only non-cable one that might work is Fox. The big 3 networks have regular schedules already for Friday's, but Fox does not.

I did not expect much from Raw because it was filmed last Monday right after last weeks Raw was taped. Same Arena and same crowd. WWE is overseas this week and did not want to bring the HD Production crew with them. That is why for the 2 weeks leading up to No way Out HHH was not seen at all. WWE just announced the matches for the upcoming Hardy Boy DVD set and all I have to say is I am disappointed. The Hardy Boys debuted almost 10 years ago and for a large portion of that time they were tag partners. They put on some of the greatest tag team matches that I can remember. Looking through the match listing only a couple tag team matches are included. What about their long standing feuds with The Dudley Boyz or Edge and Christian. I still remember the TLC Tag title Match on the first ever episode of Raw on Spike. That was by far one of the most amazing television matches I can remember in my almost 24 years of watching wrestling. But it is not included. I understand that Matt and Jeff are both singles wrestlers now but I bet for a majority of fans out their they will always be remembered as the Hardy Boys.

Here is the info released from WWE.

Promotional Material For The Matt & Jeff Hardy DVD Set Including Matches

- WWE sent out the following promotional material for the upcoming Twist of Fate: The Matt and Jeff Hardy DVD release. The set is scheduled to hit stores on April 29th:

Risk takers, crash and burners these two performers exemplified the heart and soul of the tag-team division. Simply put, they are artists – both in and out of the ring. SummerSlam 2000, the Hardys’ competed in their first ever Ladder Match, rocketing them through the ranks of the tag team division winning the titles on four occasions and making the Tables, Ladders and Chairs match a staple in the WWE. While they may have gone their separate ways they have managed to capture the Intercontinental, Hardcore, European, Light Heavyweight, WCW Tag Team and Cruiserweight Championships respectfully. Now, relive “Team Extreme” once more as they continue to climb to new heights when you own the Hardys Twist of Fate DVD.

Really? Cena a "Kiss ass"? end of sarcasm.

Although John Cena is friendly with virtually everyone in the locker room and the wrestlers respect his work ethic, he is also considered a "kiss ass" by some. Cena hangs out with Vince McMahon, something not uncommon for the company's #1 babyface. One wrestler said, "Cena is definitely Vince’s boy and that’s why Triple H doesn’t even try to f--- with him". While Cena is viewed as a company man, Randy Orton is viewed as someone who will stand up to management.

I think there is nothing wrong with having a good relationship with your boss, now if he really kisses his ass then thats something else. I dont see Cena doing that. Orton probably stands up to management because of his background, having two other wrestling figures in his fam, one being a HOF.

Rey Injured!!!! from wwe.com

Rey Mysterio’s quest to regain the World Championship may have suffered a severe setback in Santiago, Chile, on Wednesday night.

The injury occurred during Wednesday’s live event at Arena Santiago, where Mysterio teamed with Kane against Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins. During the tag contest, Rey suffered an apparent injury to his right arm – specifically his bicep. Clearly in pain, the Master of the 619 gutted it out and finished the match, then was quickly examined by WWE athletic trainer Jason Crivello upon leaving the ring.

Mysterio flew back to the United States late Wednesday night, and is currently in Gulf Breeze, Fla., waiting to meet with world-renowned surgeon Dr. James Andrews, who will determine the extent of the injury. Regardless of Dr. Andrews’ findings, Mysterio has his heart set on competing this Sunday night at No Way Out, where he is scheduled to face Edge for the World Championship.

Stay with WWE.com as more updates become available regarding Mysterio’s condition.

should be interesting what will happen Sunday.

maybe Kane will take his place, if the injury is major taking him out of action for months.

THIS JUST IN ABOUT REY!!

REY MYSTERIO INJURED, COULD BE OUT FOR SIX MONTHS
- Rey Mysterio must be one unlucky man. While wrestling at the live
Smackdown! event in Santiago, Chile, the former World Heavyweight champion
suffered a bicep injury during his match with Kane against Zack Ryder & Curt
Hawkins. Upon finishing the match, Mysterio was checked by the trainer and
then flew back to the United States later that night to meet Dr James
Andrews who will evaluate his injury. It is feared that Mysterio would need
surgery that would keep him out of action for up to six months and obviously
would miss tomorrow's No Way Out and the biggest event of the year -
WrestleMania.

here's what a buddy of mine wants to see happen

NO WAY OUT:

- The Undertaker wins the Smackdown! Chamber Match. In a backstage segment, Batista is shown obviously dejected and upset at his loss. The camera zooms out to show Orton approaching him, cocky with title in hand. He says something along the lines of, "I guess now we know which one of us was truly evolved. Better luck next time." This obviously pisses Batista off, as he gives Orton a deathly look while Orton walks off.

- John Cena vs. Randy Orton is a stellar match. Cena, however, manages to squeeze out a victory. After the affair, however, Orton loses his mind and starts viciously attacking Cena, possibly re-injuring him (a point which is constantly pushed on touched upon by the announcing teams from that point up until WrestleMania.) Batista, however, comes down to chase Orton off, but not until Cena makes the save. (This sets up Batista/Orton for WrestleMania, a much-needed, longer overdue match.)

- Triple H wins a bloody RAW Chamber Match by just narrowly, NARROWLY (another point the announcing teams reiterate on a constant basis) last eliminating Jeff Hardy.

LEADING UP TO WRESTLEMANIA:

- So, now we have John Cena vs. Triple H for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania XXIV. They key here, however, is to push that Cena is not at a hundred percent due to Randy's attack after his match with him at No Way Out, and to turn Triple H heel by exploiting this potential re-injury. We do so by having Triple H and John Cena team up to take on Edge and The Undertaker in one of those WrestleMania Main-Event vs. WrestleMania Main-Event tag matches. During the match, however, Triple H turns on Cena and starts beating the living Hell out of him, putting into further question Cena's ability to defend the belt at WrestleMania. Triple H later explains that his reasoning for his attacks is because he took John Cena too lightly two years ago, and that he won't be making the same mistake.

WRESTLEMANIA:

- Randy Orton beats Batista in a good match, and he beats him CLEAN.

- Jeff Hardy edges out Umaga, Kane, Montel Vontavious Porter, Mr. Kennedy, Matt Hardy, C.M. Punk, and Rey Mysterio (if he's able to compete) to win the Money-In-The-Bank Ladder Match.

- Triple H defeats John Cena for the WWE Championship, but it is stressed that Triple H did not defeat John Cena when John Cena was at a hundred percent.

And it would go from there with Cena/Orton/Triple H vying for the title up until SummerSlam, where Triple H would lose to a challenging Jeff Hardy.

That sounds pretty good. I would pay to see those matches.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match)
Rey Mysterio vs. Edge (World Heavyweight Championship Match)
Raw Elimination Chamber HHH
SmackDown/ECW Elimination Chamber Undertaker
ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk

This is a predicatable pay per view but the elimination chamber will be interesting to watch.
I would like to see randy win but it's a toss up.

I wonder what Batista ill do at wrestlemania.

I just saw this posted online as a rumored mania Card.

Source: PWInsider.com

-- Right now the rumored Wrestlemania 24 card looks like:

* Randy Orton vs. HHH vs. John Cena (WWE Title)
* Vince McMahon vs. Finlay (World Heavyweight Title)
* Edge vs. Undertaker
* Ric Flair vs. Batista
* Shawn Michaels vs. Jeff Hardy
* MVP vs. Matt Hardy
* JBL vs. Chris Jericho
* Money in the Bank

There will also likely be women's & ECW title matches.

I think there is a typo on the Finlay match and the World Title match will be Edge and Taker. I also have a hard time with the Hardy and HBK match when they just gave it to us on raw this week. They would have to step it up a notch because their match on Raw was already PPV quality.

Looking at some of the other matches I have a hard time believing them because they would take away some top performers from the MITB match. Big Show will probably have a match at Mania if he has debuted by then.

That card kind of sucks in my opinion except the World Title and WWE Title Match. It can be better.
Sucks for Rey, I really hope he can compete tomorrow.... If not? It will be a great chance for Show to appear and make a great match. Edge gets disqualified, him and his two hoes start beating on Show and he completely goes beserk on them and just does some nasty memorable stuff.

No Way Out picks:
John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match) - I want Cena to win, really really bad. But I feel Orton will win and push this match up to Wrestlemania somehow and end up making it a Triple Threat. Orton wins.

Rey Mysterio vs. Edge (World Heavyweight Championship Match) - No matter if Rey or Big Show compete in this match, Edge wins. Edge will fall to the Undertaker.

Raw Elimination Chamber - Would really like to see HBK go out winning here, but I guess WWE is more intent on giving HHH his third Elimination Chamber victory. HHH wins.

SmackDown/ECW Elimination Chamber - The Undertaker. Done.

ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk - I dont care

Ric Flair vs. Mr. Kennedy - Flair, if he is to compete.

jbailey84
02-17-2008, 03:51 AM
yea if that is the rumored card, it does indeed suck. if Rey cant compete, this would be the perfect time for Big Show to wrestle against Edge.

i'll repost my picks for Sundays PPV. so far I'm 2-3.

John Cena vs. Randy Orton (WWE Championship Match)

Rey Mysterio vs. Edge (World Heavyweight Championship Match)

Raw Elimination Chamber - HHH

SmackDown/ECW Elimination Chamber - The Undertaker

ECW Champion Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk

Ric Flair vs. Mr. Kennedy

i ordered the PPV on Direct TV and it shows that it will be a 4 hour show instead of 3.

I'm so glad Cena didn't win. But I did laugh my ass off when Orton slapped the ref.

Well that just sets up Orton vs. Cena vs. Raw Chamber Winner at Mania.

Plus Big Show did return tonight after the Edge vs. Rey match.

Immediately following the match Big Show’s music hits, to a not-so loud pop in the crowd. Big Show makes his way to the ring looking to have trimmed down a bit. Big show gets on the mic and says he missed this place. Show says he will be a champion again, and it does not matter where. He says he’s not here to make guarantees or promises. He says he’s lost 108 pounds. He said he’s faster, meaner, and ready to be back in the WWE. Show hops over the rope and grabs an injured Rey Mysterio around the throat. Show starts taunting Rey to his friend Floyd Mayweather in the front row. Show throws Rey into the ring. Mayweather gets up and tries to rush the ring as Show is about to chokeslam him but everyone holds him back. Show hoists him up and Mayweather jumps the railing and charges him. Everyone charges after Mayweather to hold him back. Show puts Rey down and the two are now face to face. Show takes his jacket off. Mayweather stares cold and emotionless at the much taller show, who shoves him back into his team. They hold Mayweather back. Show drops to a knee to tell him to take a shot. Mayweather gets two shots in and darts away from the ring with his whole crew. The escape through the crowd. Show charges him as fast as possible but they get away. Shane McMahon comes through the crowd and stops Big Show. We get a close up of Shows face and it looks like one seriously landed breaking Show’s nose as he is bleeding from the nose and mouth profusely. Show is spitting blood. There was no announcing for the entire segment. Great tension builder.

i thought it was briliant on Ortons half. as soon as he hit mike, i knew exactly why.:D

now about Big Show, HOLY SHYT!! what a confrontation with him and mayweather!! looked like he broke Show's nose, his eyes were watery. if WWE does this right, this can be a great match, whatever they will have, at Wrestlemania.

It wouldve been great if Shane would have let Show go after him. All that bit was really cool, they won't fight at Wrestlemania, how could they? you all saw how Show just pushed him like nothing and Mayweather didnt even move him.

Yo Jef Hardy is crazy, did you all see how he Swantoned Umaga off the chamber? A little crooked, but cool as hell

it was 108 pounds not 180. they are planning a mania match with the 2 but a Tag team not singles. Right now the leading partner candidate for Show is MVP or Shane. For Mayweather it is Rey Mysterio but only if he is healthy. Not sure who they would have in his place except for maybe Matt Hardy if MVP is Show's partner.

SD!'s Elimination Chamber was alright. should have just been Undertaker Vs Batista in a No DQ match.

Is incredible he even decided to fight just to like keep the storyline alive. Right before he did the 619 I was like "Holy shyt how is he gonna hold on?"

The SD Elimination Chamber was really good, the end of it was definitely better than the RAW one. And of course Im super happy Taker won. Now Im just hoping for a Hell in a Cell or a Buried Alive Match.

I thought Show said he lost 180. The PPV was very good. Only flaws was the ECW match. I didn't even see it, the whole time I was just talking to my friend. And the Flair match. I love Ric Flair, but all his Carrer Threatening Matches at the PPVs matches have been the same, they beat him up, he attacks their legs, Figure Leg Lock, Tap. It was cool the first time, not anymore though. They should be like when he fought Umaga, intense and nerve racking.

Just watched RAW. I know Wrestlemania is very important, but they are fixing up the matches too fast. I HOPE this means they are gonna give them real lead up to the PPV.

jbailey84
02-18-2008, 11:26 PM
well they have 6 weeks to lead and hype up Wrestlemania. yea i hope they dont rush it too fast.

so far its

John Cena Vs HHH Vs Randy Orton(C) for the Heavyweight Title
The Undertaker Vs Edge(C) for the World Title
Jeff Hardy & Mr. Kennedy qualified for the Money In the Bank

possibilities matches
Floyd Weatherford Vs Big Show (possible match)
HBK Vs Ric Flair*

*i think with HBK announcing Ric Flair to be in the Hall of Fame, this very well could lead up to them facing at Wrestlemania.

read this about the price to order Wrestlemania
The price for this year’s WrestleMania will be set at $54.95 with rumors that it will be $69.95 in some areas for High Definition. Last year the show was $49.95.

and also there are 3 considerations for the site of next years Wrestlemania, courtesy of Wrestling Observer Newsletter
Hoosier Dome(Wrestlemania 8) in Indianapolis, Indiana
Alamodome(Royal Rumble '97) in San Antonio, TX
Thomas & Mack Center(No Way Out '08) in Las Vegas, NV.

i really hope its in San Antonio!! i'd fly to that. Thomas & Mack Center is too small for such a huge event.

They need to keep hosting Wrestlemania at huge venues.

jbailey84
02-20-2008, 09:27 PM
Alamodome is a huge venue. i've been there a few times. it can seat 65,000 up to 72,000!! when they hosted the Royal Rumble in '97, they seated 60,525.

Hoosier Dome aka RCA Dome can seat up to 60,272. thats for football, so they can get more with floor seating.

Thomas & Mack Center is 19,522, thats for wrestling.

I was wondering if something like this might be in the works when Mayweather showed up in WWE, since he had been working with Cuban lately about an MMA Federation.

McMahons Starting New MMA Company With Mark Cuban?

The McMahons have been rumored to be interested in starting a mixed martial arts promotion. Shane McMahon in particular is said to be a big fan of the sport and the McMahon name has come up a number of times when various promotions have been up for sale (including PRIDE) or starting up.

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban has spoken before about working with the McMahons in the MMA world. Cuban owns "HDNet", a high-definition TV channel that features a lot of MMA shows. HE is trying to put together the heavyweight fight that everyone wants to see later this year - Randy Couture vs. Fedor Emelianenko.

In a recent interview with The Edmonton Sun, Cuban was asked:

Are you trying to form an MMA company to rival the UFC? Are you thinking of involving the McMahon family from the WWE?

His answer was: "Absolutely. We are looking to partner where we can, do our own promotions where it makes sense. We think the future is built around the fighters and their personalities. No one else has this focus and partnership approach. We think it's a winner."

This could prove to be false, but Bubba The Love Sponge is laying claim that the suggested amount of $20 Million is all for show, and Mayweather isn't making nearly that much. Apparently he's got a "reliable source". Which seems like an oxy-moron to me.

It's definitely one hell of a paycheck though, for the amount of work he's going to have to do. Mike Tyson made $2 Million, and that was when the WWE was at it's peak financially.
