Holy Hell finally... I had no idea they were even making a sequel and that it's already done and soon will be released.

OMG Oct 30th is going to rule!

The first one was OK, but I could never see what all the hype was about. All the same, I'd probably check this out too.

I'm looking forward to this. I'm glad to see that both Sean Patrick Flanery and Norman Reedus are back as well as Billy Connolly. This actually looks really good.

what else were they doing?

only thing i hate about the films is the director.

Wow, just like the first one. I didn't know the first one even existed until a couple of years ago. lol. It was a pretty decent film in my opinion, so I'm kind of looking forward to this one. What's it been, 9 or 10 years since the first one?

I've never bought into Boondock Saints. It's been the rage at high schools and colleges for years, but high school and college students are retarded for the most part. I never enjoyed it, for the reputation it has it is extremely overrated.

^^^ i'm glad i'm not the only one who feels that way. i watched it three times with my friends, sure i was missing something, but i guess not.

Well, I saw it without having sat through the hype over it, so when I did, I didn't have that mentality that it was supposed to be the best film ever. I just saw it for what it was and ended up very happy with the end results. Sure there were parts that lagged and there were some minor negative points to the story. But overall, it was pretty decent imo.

I'm with Tolkien here. I'm not sure what I would have thought of it if I had waited to see it after it gained such a crazy following. I watched it on VHS when it first released, when little to no one had heard of it. It surprised me quite a bit (since I had no idea what it was, nor seen it advertised for theatre release), and I really enjoyed it.

But yeah, people didn't start freaking out over it until it came out on DVD.

I'm not sure how I feel about this sequel. Speaking of the trailer, though, I would have thought it was someone else if they hadn't shown Sean Patrick Flanery's name at the end. I haven't seen him in a long time, and heard he had surgery done to/around his eyes. I barely recognize him.

Someone had this movie on last night and I almost had forgotten how overrated and stupid the movie is. Its hype it ridiculous, it has a few short scenes of "cool", but the movie has no structure and is a dull, tedious mess. Here's how the whole movie goes: They go for another target, they get ready to shoot the place, a horrible transition effect is inserted, Willem Dafoe overacts the crime scene to solve it, we see what really happened, repeat about 4 times. It uses a bunch of ridiculous slow-motion shots capped with over the top choir singing and more silly things that really derail the movie. I had heard the hype and was stunned that this garbage was so highly regarded.

Wow... someone's being over-dramatic about an over-hyped film.

Saw the original this year. I thought it was pretty good. Certainly not as great as people were saying, but I enjoyed myself. I'm looking forward to the sequel, as it looks more of the same, just a little amped up.

Oh good, someone else caught it. I thought they had given Flanery's part to look-alike actor. But then I saw the name and was like; whoa, that's him? Why'd he do that? The guy was pretty decent looking before. Why do celebs get caught up in the surgery drama?

I pointed out why it's not very good, I'm sorry these facts are too much for you to handle. If you enjoy crappy films like this then more power to you.

Maybe I missed its time but it seems like I hear way more people saying Boondock Saint's is overhyped/overrated than people saying it is good.

the trailer looks good, but i have my doubts. like bringing new guns in and everything. plus makeing the new chick cop just like the dude in the first one. just out there, just seems like their following the whole same setup. they gotta change it up. just like tim burton. alice in wonderland looks like crap and the actors are all the freaking same. you gotta change it up.

WTF does Alice in Wonderland have to do with anything?

im talking about all of hollywood never changeing their pace of how they make a movie. tim has the same people all the time they all kinda act the same. im just hopeing that this movie is different from them trying to make it one of the best cult sequals. everyone is like hell yea, but how many people liked the butterfly effect and watched the others?? ****ty. same as qt's from dusk till dawn. awsome flick till others followed. and i like to ramble.lol

yeah, but both of those series were continued by people other than the creators of the originals. also, still has nothing to do with alice in wonderland.

It is amazing how much disdain you people build up over movies that, yes, maybe a little over hyped but certainly aren't trash.

I liked it. It's cheeky and entertaining.

And I'm sorry but Dafoe in drag is absolutely priceless.

Just saw a TV spot. Looks like fun. The fact that Billy Connolly is back is enough for me. Opens Friday in select theaters.

My friend's girlfriend at the time introduced me to this movie 6 years ago and it really wasn't that special. I never got the hype that came with this movie. It's a directionless mess, very hard to get through for me. Can't say I'm really looking forward to a sequel that looks the same as the original film. I'll pass.

This is not being released in my area sadly, I wanted to go see this one in theaters. I did not see the first one until it had been on dvd for sometime so I was looking forward to the theater experience.

Oh well, good rental is all I get.
