Did anyone watch this first season? It was ridiculously good. Especially for network TV. Can't wait for next season.

Saw every episode online. I can't wait for the DVD, I'm sure it'll be pleasingly uncut.

I really hope it carries over to future seasons, it's a great show.

This show definitely grew on me. It reminded me of a book I read a couple months ago called LA Rex which is a young white cop riding in a patrol car who's more than he seems. Though it's since expanded the cast and plot, but for the first two episodes I was convinced that Southland was based off of Rex.

Southland may find a second life on TNT, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The cable network is talking with Warner Bros. TV to pick up the gritty cop drama, which was abruptly axed by NBC Thursday, two weeks before its scheduled Season 2 premiere. TNT and Warner Bros. are both under the corporate umbrella Time Warner Inc.

"We continually look at all programming opportunities that fit our portfolio of brands," TNT said in a statement.

A rep for the network did not have any further details.

TNT is no stranger to police dramas as it is home to The Closer, Saving Grace and Dark Blue
