I saw this last night and liked it. Pretty good action, and good use of the abilities, I thought. After seeing it, I still don't see the comparisons to Jumper, Heroes or X-Men, besides the common theme of people having superpowers.

I do hope McGuigan tries to make a movie without the clever sleight of hand gags. It worked in Lucky Number Slevin, to some extent, but it was kind of "been there done that" in Push.

Overall, 7.5/10, but I'll round it up to 8/10 for the poll.

edit -- oops, forgot the poll.

I didn't care for this, I could see it being a cult favorite it just wasn't for me. I was totally bored.

Holy crap! It's official, that girl (I forget her name) is no longer cute as a button. I hope she survives the transition.

I watched this yesterday. I gave it a 7/10 cause I enjoy these types of films. I even enjoyed 'Jumper' where as the majority of folks didn't.

But yeah, there are some things that didn't make sense in it for sure.

-How did that Chinese dude who wipes out the memories know to show up and save little Dakota?

- That subway scene when Dakota spun herself around near the two arrows pointing in different directions, how did the Asian girl know which way she went with such confidence?

- How did Chris Evans not get 'Pushed' by the black guy at the end. Why didn't it work on him then?

- How can injecting yourself with a decent amount of Soya Sauce (or whatever kind of sauce it was) not kill you heheh. Maybe I'm just assuming it should have. I know it was mixed with something else so perhaps that helped.

One scene I hated about the film was that totally unbelievable fight scene between Camilla Belle and the guy in the bathroom. It just didn't look real at all and she took quite a punch in the stomach to boot. Unless she had abs of steel and was prepared for it, she should have been down for the count. And the guy seemed to struggle with such a small girl for too long like they were doing some kind of a dance. It's not like she was putting any type of hold on him or she had any sort of muscle on her to show she had remotely any kind of strength. I dunno. I just felt they should have done that another way. Even a surprise smack on the head would have been better for me like when he charged in the bathroom full of rage.

The Chinese guy knew to show up because Dakota's mom told him to be there, just like she had already paid for Camille Bell's memory wipe.

I don't think Soy Sauce would kill you...

Yeah I thought of that but it would lead me to wonder how that Emily Hu character wouldn't have foreseen that event since she could see intentions. And that would have surely been an obvious intention for a very long time.

Unless he had a way of blocking that out somehow but I don't believe it was explained if that is true.

The whole thing was foreseen by Dakota's mom, that was laid out in the movie.

Yeah I understand that. And this means like you said, the Chinese guy would have been told by the mother to be there. But by doing this, that Emily Hu girl, 'should' have seen this coming or if not, why didn't she? Why did she see Dakota die if it wasn't a last minute decision by the Chinese guy to be there? How could she see a death that wasn't going to occur?

Anyways, when a movie deals with time travel or foretelling the future, there will always be problems.

For some reason I just can't bring myself to see this movie. Just doesn't look that interesting to me. Maybe a rental.
