***** about it being a remake all you want. I think compared to other recent horror movies, this looks pretty good.

Wasn't the 1972 trailer kind of like that to?

here you go. I wish the new trailer would of had the original music. But it does actualy look not half bad. But you got to love the originals tag line. "It's only a movie". <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/a0r066kUBUo&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/a0r066kUBUo&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

I really liked the trailer, but I do agree that it kinda gave too much away. The song eerily fit with the 2nd half of the trailer.

Looks like this film is being released the same day as Friday The 13th.

Looks like March 13th will be a horror double feature.

The original has been on demand around these parts for a while. Those low-budget 70's horror movies were sure made for a different audience than today's. Doesn't really stand the test of time.

Stupid me. At the time, I thought that both movies were coming out the same day (due to both being released on a Friday The 13th). Now I look like an idiot. Whee. What else is new, right? :P

While I'm here, have a poster for the film.

The tagline is kinda stupid cause they added in "Bad People". LOL. Thanks to shocktillyoudrop nonetheless,

I am not interested in this one- I watched the trailer last week out if curiousity but I won't be seeing it.

The original was and is enough for me. LHOTL is not a film that I think needs to be remade, there is not much IMO that can be added to 'improve' the story. And also LHOTL is one of those movies that makes me uncomfortable, sure it grew on me as I watched it 25 times but still, I dont want to see another take on that film or 'that' scene. I cant imagine a remake having the same feel or emotion to it as the original one did, I dunno, I dont think they will pull it off.

Thank god I still have the original to watch :)

I watched the original last night. I was surprised with how much violence occurred offscreen and I will still finding myself squeamish. The acting was kind of cheesy, but the story was good and it was a well-made movie for the 70s. I can only imagine how disgusting and violent the remake is going to be.

Does anyone else think that Taken By Tree's remake of Sweet Child o' Mine make this trailer perfect?

For the movie, ehhh i think its gonna be mediocre
but what do you expect from this day in film making

The original was, yes. Which makes it ripe for remaking. Last House On The Left gets a lot of love and I don't understand why, when you watch it today it comes across as dated and boring and not very interesting at all. So a remake seems like a good idea.

However comma, they have absolutely ****ed the soup bowl with the commercials. Part of why the first one did so well was how shocked people were with what happened, and how unexpected the last act of the flick was. That's all been trashed by this movie's ad campaign, and they've really blown their own testicles off by doing it this way. It's like if the commercials for The Sixth Sense had revolved around "come see Bruce Willis be a ghost!" It wouldn't have done anywhere near as well. The whole victim / antagonist reversal thing has been done much better since the original and isn't as surprising as it once was. Otis springs to mind as something to handle that angle in a better way. The remake isn't a bad idea but the ad campaign is. ****in idiots.

Between this and Race to Witch Mountain, this is getting better reviews, overall. But not by much. At this moment, it only has a 42% Rotten Tomatoes score, and the Disney film has 39%. I'd still rather go see Taken.

This movie was PHENOMENAL. Hell, even at IMDB many are stating that it's BETTER than the original. The tone of the film is overall the same, but with a lot more character depth and realism.

many are stating that it's BETTER than the original.

That's like saying pancreatic cancer is better than lung cancer. The first one sucked, stating that this one's better means it's about on the level of The Mexican.

Wrongo...This movie was by far excellent. Very disturbing, but VERY good acting!!! My fiance and myself loved it.

I thought Arron Paul was really good in this movie from Breaking Bad.
