I'm disappointed that pornography is not one of the choices.

I watched porn after work yesterday. Thought I'd switch it up.

Atonement is awesome.

My second choice would be to rent either Casablanca or African Queen. I'm in a retro mood.

TWBB or a movie I saw today, Definitely Maybe.

Well, "Vantage Point" looks damn good. But I voted for "In Burges" because it looks better. And a little funnier too. But yeah, like Frizzo said, too bad there's no porn titles on there. You'd really make a hit with total votes. ;)

I thought Atonement was the best of those. THere will be Blood is good, but I think Atonement tells a better story.

Have you actually seen Vantage Point? Because I have, and it was far from horrible.

But I voted for TWBB.

Ok this has turned into a "What movie should knerys see tomorrow" poll because the weather here is ****, plus I have migrain on top of this sickness that won't die! :(

So keep voting, because I do fully intend to see which ever movie wins.

Go see In Bruges.... it's FANTASTIC! I loved it so much I actually paid to see it one of the times I saw it (usually I just get free passes from my brother because he works at the theater)

JBond

Yeah right, they were really going to stop in Wisconsin for their world tour anyway. ;)

I'll probably have to drive to Detroit, or something...

Speaking of witless protection, is there some kind of thing going around where Larry can't play a character who's name isn't also Larry? I mean besides cars, his other two movie characters were called Larry...and yeah...

JBond

I think they tried it once, but when the other actors called him by a different name, he just stood there.

Like in The Simpsons - Cape Feare

Hmm I voted Atonement because it's the only one I've seen so far.

It's really freaking depressing though.

I voted There Will Be Blood but it was a tough call, I really liked Atonement even though it didn't pull my heart stings like I wanted it to. :coldheartlessbastard:

Actually, I came in close to last in Jibbs Oscar race, I have no meaning in life. Feel free to discard anything movie related I recommend.:)

I think every writer in Hollywood should be forced to watch Witless Protection as part of the agreement with the studios. Then the studios could put a clause in the contract that says something to the effect of "if you ever push a script on us this crappy, you will leave in disgrace and never return to writing anything ever again."

Knerys
02-27-2008, 02:33 PM
Ok just for the record Witless protection WAS NOT part of my oringal poll, lol.

And it looks like There Will be Blood is the winner!! It's about time I see it anyway. And maybe I'll sneak in In Bruges if I get the chance. :p

dont be a party pooper, make it 5 straight movies after work.

once did the entire day at the movies, back in high school, but we did 5 movies. man was that a mistake.

I have done three....that was...torlerable.

I did do all of the Extended Edition Lord of the Rings movies in one day. I don't recommend that....

Lol neither do I, and I'm an LOTR addict. The most LOTR I'll do now is three days in a row, I'll watch one each day. I tried the three in a row thing and I think I forgot how to walk.

As for me I voted Atonement. I just think it was better than There Will Be Blood. Daniel was amazing in it, definetly worthy of the Oscar but I just think Atonement had good acting along with everything else, but it a bit over There Will Be Blood for me.

Ok, I saw There Will be Blood and I don’t even know where to begin. This film is almost indescribable. You have to see it to fully understand its impact. And I really do recommend you all see it. Daniel day-Lewis has proven again and again he is the premiere actor of his generation. His stamina and focus appears to be inexhaustible. This movie runs over 2 and half hours but I was never bored for a minute because I wanted to see what this man did next. People have said the story relies too much on his performance but this is Plainview’s story so why shouldn’t it. And even so, it’s rest in the hands of a man who in more then capable of carrying the weight and he does not disappoint.

Anyone who is interested in acting needs to see his body of work. There are few who can so completely disappear into each role. I wish he did more films but with the energy he expends with each I'm not surprise that he limits his endeavors.

9/10

I think I'm going to try for In Bruges tonight.
