its a new documentary from Super Size Me's, Morgan Spurlock.

the title is pretty self explanitory.

anyone hear about this? i just heard about it couple of days ago from a morning radio station The BJ Shea Morning Experience on 99.9 in Seattle I listen too. one of the producers heard about it.

According to http://www.cinematical.com/2007/12/03/did-morgan-spurlock-find-osama-bin-laden/ when some of the 800 hours of raw footage (http://www.worstpreviews.com/) was shown at the Berlin Film Festival, distributors who saw the film were asked to sign draconian nondisclosure agreements, which apparently are a bit more extreme then the usual nondisclosure agreements given to distributors, the rumor from http://www.slashfilm.com/2007/12/02/first-look-morgan-spurlock’s-where-in-the-world-is-osama-bin-laden/ (Ifilm), is that after Weinstein Co. saw 15 minutes of whatever footage was being shown they bought the rights. Last, we know that also according to Ifilm and WP, (which is the same article), that Daniel Marricone, Spurlock's DP, "definitely got the Holy Grail."

sounds interesting.

the real question is, does he?

does he indeed... truly would be the greatest documentary ever made if he actually made it in to the circle with osama. soon to come though, its gonna be known once it plays at sundance in a little...

Read about this briefly on Google news yesterday. All I know is, if he found him, why not let the U.S Military or even the UN know of his whereabouts, instead of use it as a ploy to hype his film. I think he hasn't found Osama, and I think this will be a film about trying to prove he's already dead, and how the U.S Government keeps telling us he's still alive to keep the fear of another attack prevalent in our minds. O.k, the last part is probably just a bit of my own quasi conspiracy theory, but no, I don't think Spurlock found Bin Laden. IF he did, WOW what an embarrassment to the U.S Government this will be (add it to the recently growing list).

I heard about this listening to sports talk radio, sound really intriging. Rumor was that he indeed found him. Hmm..

I doubt he found him, but I like Morgan Spurlock and loved Super Size Me. I will probably watch this.

The likeliness of him actually finding Bin Laden is extremely low...

That said, this documentary has got me very, very interested.

Spurlock bugs me. He seems like a cool guy, but he is not a great filmmaker. Plus this movie sounds like nothing but hype and cheesiness. I will definitely pass when it hits theaters.

in the trailer, it shows he gets to talk to Bin Ladens uncle.

i like how he would ask people where he's at and they would point in the same direction and say "that way" lol :D

im pretty sure, we would know if he found osama, and its safe to say, he didn't.

But maybe he did find the holy grail. But did he take a drink to make sure it would make him immortal?

"WTF, you serious?" seems to be morgan spurlocks niche as it were....

Osama is hiding in America, its the perfect plan! Hide in the country that hates you, of course he is shaven and has had some surgery to go along with it.

According to the late Benazir Bhutto (who died a couple of months after this was aired) Bin Laden is already dead:

Intriguingly, the part of the interview where she mentions this was cut from the televised version.

Interesting... I have thought for a long time that the White House and Pentagon is pretty certain he is dead, but lacks the definitive proof. That's why they aren't so concerned about him and you don't hear much about a push to get him. That's just my opinion.

I heard it flopped and caused a big uproar in the states. Did it? (I'm sure most of you are from the US)... not sure if i'll wait for the DVD for this one or not.

I can't help but think of the political implications of this one.. the concept of this movie is so ridiculous it almost works. A perfect example of taking sensationalism to the max and exploiting one of the major catastrophes of our time. THIS alone (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=XYBc9OxUtiM) proves my point. :omg:

i dont care if it flopped, i still want to see it.
havent heard anything if it did flop.

lol great video

Yes, the majority of the few who have seen it didn't like it.

so i guess this doesn't get a wide release and we have to wait for the dvd?

I don't remember where I was reading, but Spurlock himself said they didn't find Bin Laden, but that he was positive they had come within a few miles of him.

DAN!

a few miles? sounds like a publicity stunt....

but the movie looked humorous and i still want to see it

The woman in that video clip sounded like a female Arnold Schwarzenegger. I want to see this film even if he didn't find Bin Laden. It will be a good watch and I'm sure it will have its entertaining parts. Everyone knows that Bin Laden is living in the White House, he sleeps in the bedroom next to Bush's.

Bin Laden is working down the street at the local 7-11 here. What a sneaky bastard! He always tries to charge me extra for my hotdog. Sonuvab****.
