Hey comingsoon.net!!!
I'm, D.L. Watson, an independent filmmaker in Portland, OR. I thought since I go to you for all the updates on the hottest up-coming films, I'd tell you about a little event that my girlfriend and I were invited too.
Associates from Disney and Pixar chose Portland, OR to screen an early draft of their up-coming film WALL-E. I must admit, even though the last half of the film was watching animated storyboards, its my favorite Pixar film to date!
The characters are very well developed; they do an excellent job of causing you to become emotionally attached to a charming, cute, romantically-driven little garbage robot.
You can tell the film still needs a lot of work on the animation, and of course, replace the iconic temp music from Indiana Jones, Superman, Star Wars etc, etc, they used in the film.
But by the climax, you're rooting on the little robot to save the day, and to get what he truly desires. And when the lights went up, not only was I thrilled that I just watched the emotional Pixar film, WALL-E, I was inspired to have the producers/studio choose Portland'ers to be the very first to see this incredible film.
Thanks everyone for being here to let me tell you this fun news.

^ If true, cool!!!:)... I wanna see that movie too. So, it's not a complete looney-funny-movie!? I mean, I'm sure it'll have laughs, but the vibe I got from the teaser, was that this film is gonna be an emotional one.

Yeah, its more emotional at the end, but it definitely has its funny bits, which are all through the film.
I just can't wait for the film to release this summer so I can cross compare the differences between the two versions.

do you have some pictures of it?

No. They took us through security guards, wanded us, and wouldn't allow us to bring in phones that had cameras on it. Very tight, very secretive.
But here is a photo online from the film.

I recommend this movie to anyone!

I've heard this movie has little to no dialogue, is this true?

Well, true and false.
The robot speaks much like R2-D2, but with an English accent lol. About half way through, when Humans are introduced, there is a lot of dialogue. But the animators have a done a awesome job using body-language to express what the robot wants when he doesn't speak.
The robots lack of dialogue doesn't hurt this film.

Oh I wasn't worried, I was hopeful. Hearing that dialogue would be at a minimum peaked my interest. This is Pixar animation we're talking about, who needs words?

lol. Exactly!

Sorry 'bout the late reply, but I've been at work (on lunch break now). I'm not sure who acted in it, it did not have opening or ending credits.
The only voice I recognized was the actor who played "Mack" in Cars and pretty much all the other Pixar films played the character Captain. Im sure since the film has like 8 months to finish, they may or may not hire some actors. *shrugs*
Not familiar with how they schedule actors voice overs.

So, can you give Us a short but covering insight to what this movie is about, exactly?

Sure. Ill try not to say much tho, you definitely have to see it when its finished!
Basically, Earth has become a huge garbage can -- toxins are too high to sustain life. So, humans go off into space in a huge space station while some robots clean and organize the trash left behind on earth.
Meet WALL-E, a small, clever little robot who likes collecting memorable trash like Baseballs, Video Tapes, etc etc. all the while hiding from terrible wind storms. Everything seems to be going to as planned until something else arrives. It happens to be a new, sleeker robot, with a feminine touch, named EVA. Its WALL-E's fascination that leads him to discover that she's on a much bigger priority then just organizing trash -- and its this mission that launches both WALL-E and EVA in an incredible adventure.
So...I think that basically would be a good synopsis. I didn't give too much away.

The film is completely original...the visuals are amazing -- the final shots of course. LOL.
Any more questions I'd be glad to answer. I don't how comfortable I am to give out spoilers for the film...if it was mine, I don't think I'd want people to know how it ends ... then again ... it doesn't have a some big twist at the end.

It's ok, no need saying more. It caught my attention already when I saw the teaser; you've just enhanced my interest for the movie, so thanks!:)

So if you would rank your top 3 pixar movies would this be in it?

Definitely. I think its only competitor for me would be Finding Nemo, but this one, in my opinion, is their greatest achievement.
