This is a quick sketch I did of the DKR Batman in a movie style. It's more realistic than Burton's style, but no as grounded as Nolan's Batman. I'm not sure if I'll have time to do a fully colored version of this pic.

I've been doing the pictures first in black and white with water colors, and then the colors with guache.

The Venom one was to see if he could have larger eyes with a more extended jaw and the ability to close his mouth. I think it works pretty well.

The Darkseid I like, but the face needs a lot of work.

And the Shocker I tried to keep as practical as possible, while still keeping him a recognizable form of Shocker. I'll eventually get around to doing a fully colored shocker pic.

Thanks! I'll try to get at least a sketch done pretty soon. A few people have actually reqested that one. And the good thing is that we haven't seen him smiling yet, so I think that's what I'd like to try.

It usually takes about three to four days on each pic. I sure I could finish a lot faster than that, but I generally do about one stage a day. But sometimes I'll go right from the black and white to color, but I usually take breaks in between.

And all the work you see is on sale, so if there's a piece that you're interested in, just let me know!

This is a quick sketch I did. The Joker is slouched over in a chair with a knife in one hand and flicking a Joker card toward us with the other. There's a coat rack in the back with a fedora rested on top. The backround is black with a strong light come from above, casting the shadows downward.

I could do this piece on larger board, either fully colored or in black and white. PM me if you're interested and we can talk about the pic's specifications (size, mediums, etc.) and the price. I'm always willing to negociate!

Right now I'm using a mechanical pencil with HB lead. I scan the picture afterward and clean it up and color it in Painter.

Here's an environment concept I just finished, and then my current progress on the alien sniper. Not too much more done with the alien sniper, just touched up the tentacles and started coloring in the basic shape of the gun.

Excellent work, I checked this entire thread from beginning to end and it really looks like you are getting better as you go. Hard to do considering the first few you posted were great but they keep getting better. Love the one of the alley just a few posts above.

Thanks! It's funny, when I did that allyway image, I never really thought much of it. But recently, I've gotten a very positive response from a bunch of people who've seen it. I guess I did a little better than I thought!
