Alright so the 8th season starts tonight at 8:00 P.M. Who's watching?

I'll probably watch it out of curiousity, even though I really didn't like last season (all-stars).

Watched it last night, probably one of the best episodes in years. I know it was only day one, but they wasted no time getting down to business. I really like the twist, and the whole "Nothing is as it seems" Alice In Wonderland house theme suggests there's more twists on the way. Julie Chen is SMOKIN.

Ya, great episode. I can't wait to see the whole thing between Dick and Daniele and how that is going to work out.

Another great episode. I felt so bad for Dick when he said he would give his life for Daniele :( I wish she could have heard that. Kail's reasoning for putting Amber and Carol up were perfect. Also, Daniele looked really pretty when she was in the diary room :P

Oh I know :( That was sad, and I wish she would try to reconcile things with him.

I think Nick is the yummiest guy on there and becoming one of my favs :D I can't stand Jen and her crying over a bad picture.

Hopefully she will be able to over the course of the show.

I can't stand Jen and her crying over a bad picture.

Haha I know. That was so annoying.

In comparing the UK version to the US version, there are aspects of the UK version that I do like at times but sometimes it just gets really boring and repetitive because on the UK version every episode is 1 day where as over here it is usually 2 days or 3 depending on when the episode airs. Also, it seems like there is little to none competitions that take place. I also like that there actually is a "Big Brother" on the UK version where they talk to the person in the diary room and over the intercom. So far, though, I like the US version better. Although the UK version has a little more drama.

And her excuse for nominating Danielle is the most pathetic excuse ever. Danielle is not a negative person, and her jealousy is the reason behind it all. Also when she was taking down pics of her family because she didn't have any makeup on in them I wanted to shoot her lol. That girl is wayyyy too insecure.

iv3rdawG
07-16-2007, 03:40 PM
Maybe she's trying to get a lot of publicity for this stupid stuff she's pulling. Like her whole crying at the first picture in the first episode, that got on The Soup and Best Week Ever last week.

Alright eviction is tonight. Who wants who to go? I'm expecting most people to say Joe because Dick is extremely entertaining and they'd want him to talk more with Daniele, etc.. Well for me it's Dick anyway. And hopefully either him or Daniele will get HoH.

Amber is driving me crazy! I don't think I've ever met a girl that cries as much as she does. I mean I am emotional gal sometimes, but I don't cry at every little thing. And then when she got mad because Jen was crying - I was thinking "b*tch you cry at EVERYTHING!!" lol god I hate her! :waa: :waa: -- Amber's smilie :P Get on some depression medication!!

Let me just say, lots of drama is going to be in tonight's episode. Dick and Daniele figure out it was Eric who casted the two votes the last couple of weeks thanks to a banner that flew over the house during the endurance competition. Daniele wins HoH. Daniele puts up Jen and Kail with plans of backdooring Eric at the Veto competition and it looks like it's going to happen because Jen wins the veto and will most likely take herself off.

Well if Dick and Daniele can get Jessica to vote Eric out (which they've been trying to do and has been some-what working. Although Dick and Daniele did tell Jessica their plans to back door Eric, she went and told Eric about it) they will be able to get him out. Dick and Daniele made an alliance with Jen (ha) so we'll see how it plays out.

From Transworldnews (http://www.transworldnews.com/NewsStory.aspx?storyid=20118&ret=Default.aspx)
“Big Brother” grounds pilot for flying banners
Atlanta, GA 8/6/2007 9:50 PM GMT (FINDITT)

Producers of the hit reality show “Big Brother” have grounded a pilot they are accusing of planning to ruin the show. Jerry Hider of Blue Yonder Air received a “cease and desist” letter from lawyers for Endemol USA Inc. The letter ordered Hider to stop flying his plane over the Big Brother 8 house.

Endemol accuses Hider of planning to fly over with a message revealing that Eric is “America’s Player.” Endemol says that Hider would violate a “tort of intentional interference of an advantageous business relationship.”

Hider says that he was not trying to ruin the game; he was only doing what he was paid to do. He wouldn’t give the name of the person who paid him to make the run. Hider says that he won’t try to fight Endemol and CBS. “If I had a bunch of attorney’s I would fight this, but it’s not worth my time."

“It’s always great to have fans that are this engaged and passionate about ‘Big Brother.’ However, we also need to protect the integrity of the competition, which does not allow any outside influence on the houseguest who are sequestered from the public broadcast and therefore unaware of some of the secret twists in the show,” CBS said in a statement.

I used to like Dick but now I see him as abusive and petty. I don't care as much when he's yelling and calling out men, but he doesn't seem to do that nearly as often as he does to the women (mostly Jen.) Its borderline abusive, and I can see why Daniele said he was "basically a mean friend" and didn't want to be around him for all those years.

I also don't like him because he's going after Eric, my favorite houseguest. Eric can be hilarious and fun, unfortunately he's so paranoid this week with Dick targeting him and never leaving him alone. Eric was playing great even with his America's Player handicap until that stupid banner ruined it, that just really isn't fair. I don't even see where that banner was coming from, Eric hasn't even lied that much except for not stating that he was AP and saying he didn't cast the second votes to evict Kail (which is true in a way.) He was still loyal to his alliance, especially Jessica.

Hopefully he's able to stay this week (I'm worried about Dustin/Amber flipping since Dustin thinks he can control Kail, plus Kail can't win HOH anymore thanks to the veto) and then everyone else will rally to get rid of Dick. Once Dick is gone Daniele should calm down.

08-06-2007, 05:59 PM
Anyone wondering about the POV meeting and how it went down, Daniele was true to her word and she did indeed but up Eric in Jen's place. As for Eric, I'm somewhat sad to see this happen to him. It is really cheap that like he said, something totally out of his hands and out of his control could take him out of the game. And Jessica. I really like her. She seems so nice and fun to be around and it sucks for her to be in this place between Dick/Daniele and Eric. Also, bbf2, about Dick, I kind of feel the same way. Except I do still like him a bit. I didn't really care what he did to Jen cause Jen was just bleh but I think we'll see it come to a halt with her seeing as him, Daniele and Jen are now in an alliance. For a bit at least. We'll see how this all works out in the next couple days. Thursday is going to be interesting.

I thought it was the banners fault at first, but i thought about it later. I think eventually someone would have caught on to Eric. Because we know for a fact it couldnt have been Dick, Dustin, or Nick. That leaves Jen who would have no reason to kick out Kail in the first place, or to want Nick to stay. Jessica maybe, but why would she want to stir things up? She is just along for the ride. Amber and Jameka are too afraid to do anything like that. I found it funny that they briefly considered Amber. Danielle would have reason to keep Nick, but not Mike. I guess his best chance was hoping people would think it was a fluke one person each time thing, but no one was buying that, and no one confessed to voting out Kail either time, so that really couldnt have worked. So that kind of leaves Eric out there as the only wildcard. All the Banner really did was speed of the process of figuring it out. I think it would be really fun to see Eric play without the handicap of AP as well.

From the looks of the feeds today, it seems that everyone is getting along, taking group pictures and whatnot except for Eric. Amber went off on Eric today. You can hear the argument here:

That was pretty intense. God, I hate Amber.

She has been going on about how "Every single Jewish person I've met" is so money hungry and have big noses. It got really bad, CNN even ran a story about it and showed the feeds. (Reality Show Contestant Makes Anti-Semetic Comments.) I hope they show those comments on the show.

Thank god Eric stayed. He had one of the worst weeks I've ever seen someone have (especially compared with how happy go lucky he was earlier in the game), his transgressions certainly didn't deserve the four days of absolute torture and abuse that he put up with. It wouldn't even have been an issue if not for that stupid banner. He's a huge target still if Dick/Danielle/Jen/Zack ever win HOH but at least America gets to vote in the jury now.

And once again, the perfect person dramatically wins HOH! God I hope Dick leaves.

For people wondering what happened with the power of veto:

Dick won the POV and used it to take Daniele off and Dustin was put up as a replacement nominee. I guess as a pawn. But if Dick can get Jen and Zach's votes they'll have 3 votes for Dick to stay and Jameka, Eric and Amber will vote to evict Dick unless something weird happens then it'll be a 3-3. But if somehow, Dick and the others can convince Jessica that he needs to leave she could keep him in.

I love this show, but out of all the major reality shows, this by far has the worst winners. The past three winners have been absolutely vile people (Dick, Boogie, Maggie) and the ones before that were boring and unsatisfying (Drew, Jun, Lisa) The only good winner was Dr. Will in season 2, and that was all the way back in 2001.

iv3rdawG

The only good winner was Dr. Will in season 2, and that was all the way back in 2001.

Have to agree there. And even after him I'd say Dick

Even if he was a dick he played the game extremely well. Pretty much intimidating everyone to the end.
