Did anyone else think that Keith Richards did a terrible job in the movie. I know Gore Verbinski said that it was a mistake to let him shoot up before his scene, but sometimes what causes the most frustration ends up being the most rewarding. I personally didn't that the Richards added anything to the character, and at times he was almost unintelligable.

I'm not saying I expected anything outstanding, but considering how Depp modeled Sparrow after Richards, I at least expected to recognize some characteristics. Inability to act aside, the fact that he was so drugged up during the filming made him one of the worse points of the movie.

I didn't really have a problem with his role. But then again, it didn't require much acting. It was just Keith Richards, playing himself in pirate clothing. His performance made me feel like he could be Jack Sparrow's father, and that's good enough for me.

I think he did just fine.

It didn't do anything for me.
He popped up with very little explanation or point, slurred a few incomprehensible words and that was it. I know he's not an actor, but I expected some amusing dialogue, or a bit of overacting, or even just something to suggest that this is where Jack gets it from.
I know it's just a throwaway cameo but it was very poor.
