What makes me more sick is the money that the higher ups make - they should make them donate a bunch to charity.
Players and actors only make so much because the companies are making an even LAAAAARRRRGGGGGGGEEEEERRRRR piece of the pie.
But we all know the ""Creative Bookkeeping" Tactics they use to claim poverty too.

I too think that sports stars are paid way too much for playing a game...and when they are off due to injury they still get paid...damm I wish I was a footballer

Hey, if the studios want to pay movie stars crazy money, then I guess they figure they're worth it. I think it's nuts for movie stars to make that kind of money, but it's not my money.
However, CEOs making millions while people are losing their jobs, or a company is tanking, should be criminal. It makes my sick when that happens.

Also the way stars get free goodie bags that are worth lots of money for free....for christ sake there are people struggling with rent and poverty that would be better off with the money used for thsoe goodie bags

They have to pay taxes on those goodie bags now - but they can auction them off for charity and avoid the tax

I would have to go with all of them as well.
I was talking with the network admin from Nautilus (the Bowflex company) and he was telling me that Tom Cruise called up Nautilus a few weeks ago and wanted to talk with the CEO. So he gets on the phone and Cruise says "I just bought this bowflex and I don't know how to use it. When can you fly someone down here to teach me?" LMAO - total arrogance. Apparently the CEO told him that he would have someone in his area get in touch with him.

Well everyone is overpaid in hollywood. Its supply and demand though, if you stop going to see the movies, the grosses would drop and so would wages...
Its no worse than major sports stars.

Yeah, I'd have to say all those damn sports stars are overpaid. Macho men when playing the sport, whiny-ass titty babies when it comes to the cash.

I just read Mischa Oehlen Films is offering $ 15 Million dollars for the lead in Classified. Must be the most expensive role in an independent film ever...
But why the hell should someone pay an actor $ 50 Million??? What's Tom gonna do with it? Beats me.

It's a shame that teachers who mold the minds of the future are paid so little compared to people on the silver screen and on the sports field who mold minds in a different way

Amen to that. I am going to be a teacher after I graduate next year if I can get a job right away.:)

Just another sterling example of how screwed up this country's priorities really are.
We probably spend more money on entertainment than health care, education, job creation, energy conservation, crime-fighting, urban renewal, and balancing the stupid budget combined.
