I did really like the original Shadow film adaption. That was back when Alec Baldwin was still cool. His comedy route, while refreshing and amusing at first, I think has gotten old with he repeated guest spots on SNL and other film releases.

The original movie I remember the effects being a highlight. They were state of he art, and looked amazing, the trailers blew me away. They're pretty bad nowadays however (ie, the CG blade).

I'll welcome another movie. I liked Alec Baldwin's interpretation of the slick character, and hopefully whatever actor they get in this one will be just as cool.

Baldwin is 48 years old. If he would lose like 100 pounds and get in good shape I'm sure he could do one or two more films. Depending on the interpretation Raimi is going for that is. Cause, I mean, The Shadow is actually not a young guy. He fought in World War I and then disappeared for like 10 years or something like that. So, The Shadow is an older person ala James Bond.

This is cool news...seeing as he wanted to make this (Sam, that is) back in the eighties, and the rights couldn't be bought, so he created Darkman instead.

so, in the end, its a dream project, and I hope it turns out well.

Yeah, the original one with Alec Baldwin wasn't so bad... until he joined the Film Actors Guild. ;)

I also heard Raimi is looking at taking on "Doc Savage" and "The Avenger" as well.

Those should be interesting, but The Shadow will be the best one since Raimi has been trying to make that movie for almost 20 years now. You know most of his passion is with Shadow.

They said he was not attached as of yet! Which means that he MAY decide to direct. I'm pretty sure he will.
