Anyone watch? I saw the first hour or so last night on MTV2, and thought it was pretty decent, but incomparable to some of the past efforts. I liked the 'Da Vinci Code' spoof, and the opening 'M:i:III' was a bit funny I guess, but I also didn't like the stage set-up.. Felt awkward to watch. Anyway, it was pretty racy this year, especially the hand-job part. I'm surprised they made fun of Lindsay Lohan's bulimia like they did in the 'Da Vinci' spoof, as she was probably in the audience... Whatdyou think?

The highlight of the show to me was Gnarls Barkley singing "Crazy" and it was Star Wars themed.

Christian Bale's win was the best award of the night. I wished Hayden and Ewan would have one for best fight for episode 3. I can't believe that people voted for best kiss to Heath Ledger and Jake Gyallenhal.

The show was pretty entertaining this year. Alba was funny( even in that King Kong spoof). My only problem with the show was that Batman Begins didn't win Best film( Wedding Crashers beat it :( ).
But I was very happy that Bale won best hero and Hayden won best villian( he was very evil as Anakin).

I dont know maybe the way you worded it was weird.
Do they not get MTV in Canada?

In Canada we had Much Music, which still airs a fair amount of music videos. They would always air the Movie Awards and VMAs and some other MTV special events/music shows. MTV Canada's second attempt is a much stronger one. MTV is playing a stronger role this time around, there is much more MTV programming this time. So the Movie Awards and VMAs will be on MTV Canada. I find the whole network to be a waste. I only watched these awards out of habit. They've been getting worse every year.

Christian Bale's speech was indeed awesome. "I'm sorry Superman, but Batman is the badass!"

Damn.. I missed Carrey's lifetime achievement speech! Anyway, as always, the awards are totally irrelevant. I only watch for the spoofs and the funny award presentations. I found it quite funny when Alba was decoding the 'Mona Lindsay Lohan', and switched the anagrams to 'Barf' 'I Barfed' 'We Barfed' 'Barfing'... I really hope she was in the audience. Andy Dick was reasonably funny, if not, obnoxious as always.

His film montage was way better. Lame, short speech.

I loved the montage. It was pretty cool. And the speech Will Ferrell did just before was hilarious.

The spoofs were terrible, and that's really all I watch it for. Seriously how old is the audience that you're doing this show for? Like 10? The crap with Topher Grace and his pee pee...it's like when you see something so stupid that's not funny, but you know other people will and it makes you angry. Ugh. The Da Vinci Code spoof was bad. I wasn't impressed at all.
