Despite what is being said. I dont not think that Fox is going to dump this Franchise now that it has finally found a lasting Franchise that it has not had since Star Wars when George Lucas stole the sequel rights only to give us three sub-par prequels 20 years later. With X-men and Marvel Fox has a lasting relationship that could possibly produce many more Big Screen Stories and entertainment for generations............And as if it needs be said Fox has broke all records with this latest addition and I sure they will want the cash to keep flowing in.

The only thing that needs be done is find another director and retool a few things and then Continue the next Trilogy of X movies a couple of years after the events of The Last Stand. Magneto has went into hiding and in his time away he has proven that the cure the humans produced was indeed effective only for a limited time. His Powers have completely returned but not only that he has become even stonger now able to make force-fields to protect himself and fly, (Just like the magneto of the comics.) The other mutants who got the cure are also regaining there abilities only to find that the humans are now lead by a anti-mutant government that truely seeks the destruction of every mutant on the planet. Magneto rebuilds the brotherhood and a all out war with the Humans erupts. The X-men still without the leadership of Xavier are torn on what side to stand with. Many are captured by sentinels and the cure is being forced on captured mutants everywhere.
The mutant who was a child in the last stand is now grown as he has a mutant complex which ages him at more then twice the normal rate and is working with the humans against the mutants....................:nono:

You're right. Now that X-Men 3 has generated so many little, green friends for the suits at FOX. They're salivating at the prospect of repeating said income, maybe even surpass it.

"SHOW ME THE MONEY!!!!" - Jerry Maguire (duh.)

Lets just hope they make a longer, better version next time around

I totally agree with a longer version. These movies need to be at least 2 hours with the scope of the universe they are trying to fit in. The action is always good but the story is too cramed, that extra 15 minutes would make all the difference.

Lucas didn't steal the rights to his own work, he used his own developments to make the sequels.

And yeah, I never thought it was the last one. There are so many XMen to chose from they can make future movies with almost any lineup.

I think he meant "steal" as in Lucas wrote sequel and merchandising rights into the contract for the first film. Fox thought it would bomb so they didn't bother questioning the contract, thereby allowing Lucas to have sole rights to I, II, III, V, VI and all toys, etc. The 20th Century FOX logo and theme song on the movies is just there as a nice way of Lucas saying thanks to FOX.

I'd like to see Cable, Bishop, Forge, Apocalypse and Havoc in the next movies

Yeah Cable and Bishop would be awesome. Even Mr Sinister would be cool also. Then again an alliance between Xavier and Magneto against Apocalypse would be grand.

Apocolypse would be my guess and Gambit. I however would llike to see Magneto have a little redemption and save the day in X-4. Not because i like Ian Mckellan but just for the Character of Magneto. For i was glad to see that Charles death did pain him some. Though he would do anything to win he obviously was secretly upset Charles had to die. I thought they did that well to come across the screen

Well that was a silly decision by Fox then still, nothing on Lucas :D

I agree. Loved the scene when Magneto put Pyro in his place for saying he'd have killed Xavier if he'd had the chance.
Also there were a number of points in the movie where I was actually rooting for Magneto... he was very right in predicting how the humans would take the mutants by force and often he came across as justified.

As for X-Men 4, it's gotta be Apocalypse. That would be one hell of a movie.

X-men I'd love to in a sequel:Sabretooth (the 1st film mangled his character), Wendigo, Sentinels, Jubilee (as her wise-cracking comic counterpart), Nightcrawler, Psylocke, (save Silver Samurai for the Wolvie movie),

Xmen who should NOT be in a sequel: Apocalypse (It would really hurt the story.), Cable (hate him... hate him!), Bishop (another lame-ass with a gun), Marrow (lousy design), The Blob, Onslaught (don't even think about it!), Exodous and the Acolytes (LAME!!!) Alpha Flight, and last but not least... Cyclops!:D
