Seeing as how Sin City is an awesome movie with some awesome characters in it, I just wanted to know who your favorite character is. Even though I like pretty much all of them, my favorite is Hartigan. Can't quite put my finger on exactly what it is about him. Maybe it's because he's got a lot of depth. Or maybe it's because he's the toughest mother-f**ker in Sin City. He's arguably the best Bruce Willis character there is. Close second would be Marv. Just one big pure bad-ass.
PS- sorry if this poll has already been conducted.

Tough call. I like Dwight a lot, and he probably is my favorite, but John Hartigan and I are similar in several ways, it makes it tough to vote against him. He's the only character I really identified with.
While I probably like Dwight more, I'm going to vote for Hartigan, because his character is who truly brought me into the story.

I find Marv to be a truely interesting character. Although myself and Marv are not similar, I find that he has the deepest story. I personally found his story to look the coolest when it comes to the comic book version. Rourke did a wonderful job of creating Marv and it didn't hurt that he looks the part from the comics. I don't want to take anything away from any of the other characters or the other great actors that played them; however, Marv is my pick in this tough debate...

Gotta be Jackie boy.
I haven't read the comics but I found Dwight to be a very dull character and Clive Owen was pretty wooden as him.
Marv at a close second and then the rest are all kind of equal to me. Though an honorable mention to Miho for sheer coolness.
Marv
just loved his sense of humour

Manute, just because that he can't be killed for some reason. Then followed closely Miho, cause she can most likely kick everyones ass in Sin City.

Am I the only one who was extremely dissapointed by this movie? HArtigan for me, his story was the only interesting one.

Actually let me rephrase. The only one on CS who doesn't like it? (it didn't sit well with critics or average movie-goers).
I thought the effects, action scenes, narrations, etc. were all really cool, but the stories had absolutely no point or common sense about them, and what film comes down to in the end past the effects and big-name actors is plot, which I was dissapointed to find was extremely lacking (save maybe for Hartigan's). Dwight's section was just so ridiculous.

Well comics - especially Millers' - tend to be larger-than-life characters mixed up in pretty straightforward storylines. At least you thought the effects were cool. :)

I didn't think the film was bad, just not as unique and mindblowing as I envisioned it to be, though like I said, the effects were the most amazing I've seen in a film.

As far as i'm aware of it got great reviews from fans of the comics wich I am, from Critics, and from the general public. Pretty much yes your in a small majority of people who do not like the film and thats fine but it is a smaller amount of people who don't like the film compared to the people who liked it. And as far as it being far fetched it's supposed to be. First it's not set in a real setting it is a made up town full of thugs, killers, and prostitutes with hearts of gold :D . It is a fantasy worl that Frank Miller created to be his own Noir Comic tale of revenge and mystery. You have characters that have super human strength and yes some that can't die for some reason (Manute). So yes it is all far fetched but it is supposed to be.
