View Full Version : Are you a sunrise, or sunset kind of person?

So which holds the most interest for you? I guess for me it would be the sunset. I can reflect on the events of the day--and many times the grandness of it takes me out of my own little world--if only for a moment. Plus, in my judgement, sunsets produce the most spectacular skies. Although I must be frank, because of my schedule I see many more sunsets than sunrises.

Philosophically speaking, I think my preference of sunsets says that I'm more apt to be contemplative and melancholy. I would think that one who likes sunrises would be more apt to be outgoing and spontaneous.

What do you think?

Frankly I think they can both be beautiful, but I'm more of a sunset type person. Its pretty, reflective, and it signals that the night has just begun. ;)

Personally I prefer sunrises. Sunsets are probably nicer to look at but they're a bit more depressing. Things coming to an end n' all. Plus I'm more likely to see them.

Sunrises always seem quite cool because I'm usually asleep at the time of their coming. They also have a different more pleasant vibe to them.

I never really sit down and watch sunsets, but I do know when the sun is setting that the day is over, and the night is about to begin, so I would imagine I like sunsets more. But a nice sunrise is always good, and watching the world come back to life can be very interesting.

Sunsets I guess, but that's only because I prefer the dark to the light.

Sunset definately. Sure sunrise looks nice, but it just makes you think "holy **** I have the rest of the day to go... Ugh" and it just makes me tired.

Sunset rocks! It's like really pretty and I feel really active at night time. I dunno why, but I'm a night/afternoon person

Sunsets are gorgeous to me. I am a big sunset fan. For me when I look at a sunset in its full magnificence it proves to me how much of a great artist God certainly is.

Sunsets. Because then you can remember back and it becomes a sunrise and you get the whole package.

Sunsets are amazing and memorable ...sunrises are just special. Especially if you've been up all night having a good time.

I like both for different reasons.

Sunset: As long as I can remember, I've never been a Sunrise type of person. I hated the mornings, all through high school, I completely hated the daylight hours even during the summer, and I could never wrap my mind around enjoying any kind of daytime activity what-so-ever. Yeah, maybe a little harsh, but it's how I was brought up. I live for the night. I always tend to have this sickly feeling during the day, and when I see that beautiful Sunset, I just feel better.

Sunset. I love the sky at night.

I did watch the Sunrise with friends on the dawn of the new Millenium. That was pretty amazing!

I'd say I'm a sunrise person. If I'm awake to see the sunrise then I musta had a fun night and so I can reflect on the events of the night.

On the other hand I do get to see a lot of sunrises in winter and they are never fun, normally means I'm getting outta bet too early coz of school/uni.

Sunrises can be really pretty, I'd just rather sleep through them. I prefer sunsets like everybody else that's posted because I'm more of a night person, too. Usually if I see a sunrise, I've either been pulling an all-nighter again, or I'm getting ready for classes. That's part of the reason I like nights and sunsets.

Jesus, I must've been sniffing paint when I made this thread. Why didn't somebody stop me?

Since I'm at work before the sun is up and I've seen the sunrise more often than set I shall say I'm a sunrise person.
It mesmerizes me.
