Michael J Fox has revealed that he's in talks to do another "Back To The Future" movie according to Moviehole.

However, Fox has a condition that his character has to have aged as much as he has in real life. The "Spin City" actor first starred as Marty McFly in 1985 followed by subsequent outings in 1989 and 1990. He admits that he's currently in negotiations for a final film in the series but wants to take over Christopher Lloyd's eccentric scientist character, Doc.

"The only way it would work would be if I played Doc. I'm 44 years old now and I'm not interested in running around on skateboards. I think after 1, 2 and 3 we all kind of felt we had done it. And I think if they did it again now, they would do it with a younger cast and just do a different realisation of it, which would be fun" says Fox.

I couldn't let this go without saying anything. I remember hearing stuff long ago but it died out. How weird would that be if there was a fourth? True, it's incredibly unnecessary, but still...how weird?

All I can say is, if they make it, Christopher Lloyd would still have to be in it, otherwise it's not a BTTF movie.

It's not true. Even if it was, there's no need for the 4th movie. I can't say I liked the 3rd as much as the first two, and the 4th would just ruin it.

No offense, Jibbs, but as soon as I read the thread title I knew this was gonna be a BS rumor. :)

Well, it's not a totally BS rumor. Universal is considering it and it is based off of a quote from Fox himself. But no, Universal is not coercing people to sign...yet.

As long as, on top of Fox taking some role:
1) Bob Gale and Robert Zemeckis at least wrote/produced it
2) Christopher Lloyd appeared in some capacity

Then I would have at least 75% faith in the project not sucking. Who knows...

Wouldn't it be easier to have Christopher Lloyd than Micheal J. Fox (given Fox's condition)?

They would need to get both either way. Having one or the other missing would be wrong.

But can they get LEah Thompson???
I kid.

Leave BTTF alone. Try some new ideas instead of making remakes and sequels to some cult movies or series.
