And he knows there is something weird about about CK, just not sure what it is yet.

Ok, I remembered something from the past Superman movies. Didn't Clark have powers to erase memories? I guess he will erase some of Lois's memory, as well as Jimmy and Lex. That would be a good way of letting us know that Lois still knows Clark but not to the extent that she can recognize him wearing a cape. Because I also recall Lois at the Daily Planet refers to Clark as Smallville. Right? .... opinions???

Shh! We don't mention that power coz it's a stupid power plus he only did it to Lois and it involved kissing... also I don’t think it ever appeared in the comics.

I was expecting Superman Returns to at least be better than a season of Smallville. I was disappointed in the movie. Superman looks too cartoony in some shots as well. I would have preferred a different director.

Some interesting news about "Labyrinth" from K-Site:

UPDATED 12/1/06: Yes, John Jones (the Martian Manhunter) does appear in this episode. In it, Clark wages a war within his mind and the Manhunter's telepathic abilities might be the only thing that can save him.
- Within his subconscious, Clark enters a world where he seemingly never had super powers, no one believes the truth about him, and things had taken a drastically different turn.
- In this other world, Clark and Lana were high school sweethearts and Chloe is one of the only people who believes Clark's stories about his abilities.
- Clark is held someplace where he sees references to characters from the show's past - Jor-El, Professor Fine, Raya, and Arthur Curry being among them.
- There will be a kiss between Clark and one of the show's regular females in this story.
- Erica Durance (Lois) does not appear in this episode.

Oh well if the kiss was with Lois the show may have been over. I don't think we'd want Clark to learn that his future flame will eventually be Lois. I think we'd all like him to figure that out for himself don't you all agree. :)

  :(

Yeah, I know, shocking. Lots of things have happened this season I'm just not terribly thrilled with. Zod was completely resolved in two episodes, I really hate Jimmy and Chloe being together, I'm pretty sick of Lana, Clark is getting nowhere near enough screentime this season (how much of "Static" was he in? eight minutes, maybe?), and I'm kind of sick of Lionel too to be honest. All I really enjoy about this season is Clark (the little time he has anyway), Lois, and Ollie (I really like him, I'm pulling for a spin-off).

As for it being a Christmas episode, don't quote on me it but I don't think it is. This episode was scheduled to be aired fifth in the season, but was pushed back to ninth for various reasons. So unless they changed the script, tonight will just be another normal, filler show.

UPDATED 10/6/06: Due to a change in the production schedule, this is now episode #9 of the new season.

UPDATED 8/14/06: There are some immigrants being exploited at a farm that neighbors the Kent Farm. A teenage boy escapes and is rescued by Clark.

Well the episode pretty much sucked, it was another FOTW just with an immigration twist to it. The ending was sweet though. We finally got a glimpse of whats to come with Lex. The slow motion walk gave me chills at first, but like Neverending, I cracked up a bit. My instincts tell me Lex is going to be pretty damn evil by the season finale.

Phil Morris is playing the Martian Manhunter in The CW's Smallville, The Continuum has learned.

Morris, 47, has dozens of television roles in his resume but perhaps is best known as Jackie Chiles, the Johnnie Cochrane-like laywer, in several episodes of Seinfeld.

He has guest-starred on such shows as NCIS, JAG, Will & Grace, Still Standing, Girlfriends, Star Trek: Voyager, Melrose Place, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Beverly Hills 90210.

Morris has previous experience with the Justice League. He provided the voice of Vandal Savage for six episodes of Cartoon Network's Justice League, one of numerous voiceovers he has done. Other shows include Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, Static Shock and The PJs.

Look for more on Smallville soon here in The Continuum.

My thoughts on Hydro:

I tell ya... when Smallville is all over with, Tom Welling should think about hanging up the acting boots and concentrating on directing. I loved Fragile, and tonight was another great example of Welling's talent behing the camera. He did have the help of Mark Snow's wonderful score, and the acting was particularly good tonight, but Welling really has a spark for direction.

Anywho, I really liked both plotlines: Miss Lake and Clark/Ollie's Green Arrow ploy. I'm sure we'll be seeing more investigation of Clark on Lana's part. And the scene near the end about Lois's kiss was amusing. I'm kind of surprised that Lana said "yes," to Lex. Oh well, I just really had a blast watching this episode.

9/10

PS - I really wouldn't want to be kicked in the gut by Chloe, wow. She chucked Lake at least ten feet back.

PPS - Lana is a *****, and I hate her more now than I think I ever have.

The only reason I don't watch/enjoy this show more is the Lana character. She is the single most annoying, irritating, aggravating character on television ... EVER!
I love you Clark, it's over Clark, I need you Clark, I don't trust you Clark, I need to know your secret Clark (gets hit in the head for her 1,000th concussion and passes out just as she is about to be told/shown the secret), repeat at least once a season throughout the entire series.
Now its I love you, I need to know your secret, but never mind I'm going to marry Lex.

I tell ya... when Smallville is all over with, Tom Welling should think about hanging up the acting boots and concentrating on directing. I loved Fragile, and tonight was another great example of Welling's talent behing the camera.

great episode tonight but Lana has to DIE before this season is over with

i thought she was gonna do the right thing and say no but of course, that didnt happen

I'm pretty sure Lana is gonna find Clark's secret this season...hopefully her character will die soon after that

also, the whole Clark/Lois thing was great...Clark smiling after the kiss was great

It just goes to show you that the powers that be know what they're doing to get you "annoyed, irritated, and aggravated" towards Lana's character. That's what Smallville is all about, to reach out to their viewers and have viewers show them what they think by their actions.

I actually thought the episode would be horrible considering Tori Spelling was in it, but it surprised me big time (just like the whole Bow Wow situation in Fallout). It was actually pretty good. I just wish Lana had found out Clark's secret in this ep. It would have been great if Chloe hadn't smashed the comp, but I guess that gives the writer's something to work with now that Lana knows Chloe's helping Clark hide something.

PPS - Lana is a *****, and I hate her more now than I think I ever have.

I dont know... I feel completely different, I think for the first time you realize that Lana has some major issues with friends, and that everyone she ever trusted has either lied to her, or tried to kill her. And for her to realize that Chloe her only true has she thought is keeping secrets from her too has to be a blow.

The only person she can trust now is Lex because she thinks he really does let her into his life that he doesn't let other people see.

The only way to solve this lex problem is too have Clark tell her what hes been hiding from her this whole time.

Its good writing strategy but at the same time your like watching the episode and thinking is the moment where Clark will actually tell her, or are we going in circles again.

Also theres no way there going to kill Lana. At least I don't think thats what there planning, I think a death for chloe is coming up before the end of the series.

Also it was the first time Lana didn't faint or fall unconscious :D

Great episode by the way... this has to be one of my favorite episodes of the series. Tom Welling can seriously direct.

Well to be precise comic history wise at least since hes still young hes impulse because of the age, if he was kid flash he would have to be a lot younger. Bart Allen doesn't become flash until he becomes older. So technically everything is going right for his character, they even went with his very high metabolism problem that he is suppose to go through at that stage of his life. Supposedly he has the highest metabolism then any of the other flashes.

Dan's_Gurl

The ratings...well, here's the deal. The CW isn't a huge network. So they don't get 22 million people watching a show like say, ABC or NBC. Smallville only gets somewhere around 4 million people watching a week. Which would suck on other networks, but is great on the CW. Smallville is actually one of their best shows (i'm pretty sure it's somewhere in the top 5).

Why was Clark leading the JL when they are doing the slow-mo? GA should have been leading maybe with Clark next to him.

They should've made it a two parter with Impulse and Clark getting up to trouble then at the end of the first episode the reveal that he was working for GA. Second episode would've been mostly the same but longer to fill the gap.

Also I'd have thought there would have been a joke about GA been a good swimmer when talking to AC, after all GA was AC in another life.

TAKEN FROM KRYPTONSITE;

Episode #6-13: "Crimson" Air Date: February 1, 2007

Written By: Brian Peterson & Kelly Souders
Directed By: Glen Winter
Guest Stars: Aaron Ashmore (Jimmy Olsen)

UPDATED 1/17/07: TV Guide's write-up for "Crimson" says "It's Valentine's Day in Smallville, where love blooms and hearts are broken, but not for the usual reasons---red kryptonite is infused into cosmetics, and that makes Lois and Clark a little crazy."
- So what does that mean? Could it be that Lois Lane has some Red-K laced lipstick that she uses to plant a big one on C.K.? If you guessed "yes," go to the head of the class. This news has also apparently been confirmed by TV Guide's Ausiello. (For some reason that we'll see in the episode, Lois isn't quite herself, either, because we know she wouldn't purposely kiss Clark - or would she?)

This should be interesting...:)

Haha, nice. Thanks for the concern pal, I'm still around. I've just been damn busy. I did see both Justice (can't remember if I commented on it or not, but it rocked) and Labyrinth. There were a lot of things about the latter episode I liked (their casting choice for the Martian Manhunter was a great choice), but I'm not sure how I feel about the episode as a whole.

On the one hand, the idea was interesting. I liked seeing Clark without his powers. But on the other hand, I believe the episode could have been done better. They could have stuck with the theme of Clark not having powers and Clark being stuck in an illusion. But I would have rather seen a Lexmas-esque episode, cutting back and forth from Clark's dream and what's going on in real-time.

Clark would be with Lana, he'd still be best pals with Lex, the episode could have been a chance to bring back Pete (maybe he'd be with Chloe, I don't know, I'm making this up as I go), etc. Except, Jonathan still wouldn't be alive. It'd be assumed that Jonathan, since he would have done more farm-work due to Clark being powerless, would have still had a heart attack. The doctor from the real episode would have given Clark the chance to either go back to his real life, or to stay in this dream realm.

One of his friends would die due to Clark not being able to save his life, presumably Lex. My version would have helped push Clark further into his destiny. Despite living a version of the life he wants, he would be powerless and would not be able to save the day on a regular basis the way he does. So he'd choose to go back to his real life, prompting an attack from "the doctor," who he would destroy. Could've thrown in a nice scene at the end between Clark and Chloe discussing the dream world. Clark brings up that despite all of the bad feelings he has toward Lex, he still chose to come back to spare his life. Chloe would of course then deliver some inspirational/Superman-related quote that all the fanboys (myself included) up the wall. I suppose the Manhunter wouldn't really fit in anywhere in my version, but I think it would have been a stronger episode.

Anywho, I'm pretty excited for Crimson tonight.

Crimson. Huh.

Well, I really liked the first 25 minutes or so. But as soon as Clark and Lois landed from their super-jump extravaganza (whoever called it "flight" was really getting ahead of themselves), I was kind of feeling like the episode went downhill. The episodes with Clark on Red K used to be really cool because they'd show us a different side of him. Now it's just used to stir up turmoil between our main cast. I'm liking Lex more and more, I don't know if that's a good thing or not. I'm anxious to see how he really, quote unquote "turns bad."

Lana finding the bent tool is interesting I suppose. But she being the moron she is, I doubt much significance will come out of it. But I think the most interesting part of the episode was the conversation between Lex and the doctor. "This isn't a normal pregnancy." What the hell does that mean? It can't be Clark's kid. The last time they fooled around was back in the beginnings of Season 5, time has elapsed by at least a year since then. And I'm pretty confident it's not Zod's kid either. I was under the impression Lex and Lana didn't do the deed until... I really want to say Wither, which was the third episode of the season. Zod left Lex's body in the premiere.

So what does it all mean? I honestly don't know. As much as TPTB like to stray from the source material, I don't think they'd make Lex a meteor freak. Same goes for Lana. So if it's not Clark's kid, it's not Zod's kid, and neither of them are meteor freaks... what makes the pregnancy unique?

7/10

Next week looks interesting.

P.S. - Clark superspeeding away from Lois was hilarious. I can't remember the last time I actually laughed out loud during a Smallville episode.

Are you kidding me? This episode was as good or perhaps better than Justice. And, trust me, it hurts me to say that! The scene where Clark crashes the engagement party has just become one of the greatest Smallville moments EVER!

Don't get me wrong, I thought the crashing scene was kind of neat too. But it just seemed so... soap opera-ish. The way they shot it made it seem like an episode of General Hospital or something. Although, I guess I should stand back and remind myself what I'm watching. It is Smallville after all. ;)

Yeah, that's a good point. Four months and really no signs at all. Hmm. Well... maybe it's unique because there really is no pregnancy? It's all a sham or something. But if that's the case, I don't know why Lex would continue the lie when Lana is out of earshot. And I don't know why he'd be so concerned with Lana's health (regarding the pregnancy anyway, I realize he probably does has feelings for her and would likely be genuinely concerned either way) if she really isn't pregnant.

I thought it was great cause, in a way, Clark spoke the truth. He was right about most of the stuff he said to them. Not all of it, but definitly most of it.

And, it actually has been about four months because Lana got pregnant before the Thanksgiving episode, I believe, and now they just aired an episode that takes place on Valentines Day.

Lex is a meteor freak, he has a super amount of white blood cells or something stupid like that.

I mean meteor freak in the context of "look at me, I can turn my body completely into water," or "look at me, I can use my psychic abilities to throw chainsaws at people." I guess what you're talking about came from the meteor shower, but I'm hoping that's not what their conversation was about. That's almost too bland of an answer after having it been set up the way it has been.

Apparently Lex recovers from injuries faster than normal humans. He could have died many times over, and I think it's because of the effects from the first meteor show that he never did. There is definitely something extra in his bloodwork, and it has passed on to his child, who it may have a stronger presence in for some reason. We all know that kid doesn't have long to live though.

1. Lex runs for president of the US and he gets elected
2. Lana ends up getting married to Pete who is actually the vice president at the time Lex is the President  WTF
3. Lex ends up having a baby with some chick and its a girl, he names her after Lana :omg: Talk about issues

Good episode. I loved where Clark ran away from Lois. So funny. I would say it looks like Lana is going to figure it out, but honestly, we all know that something will happen to prevent it.

On another note, Lana kept the metal thing wrapped in a red silk cloth. In season 4 she kept the stone wrapped in the same thing. I think Lana has a fetish. ;) jk. I know that it probably means nothing but I just had to point it out.

For some reason I was thinking, when that scene came up, that it was some sort of fake, forced or induced pregnancy that Lex came up with. Like, he didn't actually get her pregnant through sex, but gave her invitro without her knowledge or used some KryptoFreak's powers, or is using her as an incubator for a clone or something. Basically, in order to cement that she had to marry him.

Personally I hate the Lex/Lana relationship, and its not because I thought Clark/Lana were so great or meant to be together or anything. Lex used to be such an interesting character, slowly turning dark and dealing with his own business plots, father and whatever; but now he's just being used as the third wheel in the stupid Clark/Lana romance crap.
They spent so many seasons building up the epic Clark/Lex rivalry, only for it to be over a girl. Two guys feuding over a girl is not exciting, it just makes them both look like narrow-minded pricks, and its much less interesting than them falling out because of their destinies.

But I think they can salvage it, if they showed that he was never really all that attracted to Lana and just viewed it as a game and he just wanted to one-up Clark the whole time (going to the lengths of marriage and pregnancy to do it.) I doubt they're going to go that route, considering that the writers/producers are obviously in love with Lana/Kristen Kreuk, and make every other character's world revolve around her.

There's no reason for Clark to go to the caves anymore, he's figured out what their purpose is. And he hasn't really had a reason to go back to the Fortress either. I'm guessing he'll make at least one more appearance there before the end of the season though.

As for tonight, I'm fairly confident it's the last new episode before the final break of the season, so I wouldn't be surprised if we get some kind of a cliff-hanger at the end. They did it last season, and in high style at that (Cyborg, it was revealed Lionel knows who Clark is, called him Kal-El).
