Sadly to say Reeve did not film any episodes for this season of Smallville. They wanted him for the season opener but he had a conflict with a movie he was working on.

It says the top of the episode, which means at the end. You're right though, they most likely are not going to dedicate the episode to him, but rather just remember him with it.

I saw a blurb on the E! ticker that the episode tonight will be dedicated to Reeve. I would prefer that they preempt " The Mountain" tonight and show a rerun of Rosetta from season 2 (episode 2.17) and dedicate THAT show to him.

Some tribute that was to Christopher Reeve. You'd think WB would've at least had a short video montage, those greedy bastards.
Tonight's episode, as Baadshah said, was indeed a pleasant surprise. It was cool, and it was right on in the humor department. Next weeks episode though, the one with The Flash, is what I, as well as everyone else I think, have been waiting for though. It looks to be a good one.

No they add on but I do not know how frequently. day or so after it airs on WB.
Did any of you guys think that they have completly dropped the ball on the whole Lana in Paris and the tattoo of mystery thing Call me crazy but I would like a plot arc with some growth.

The Flash was great - definately one of Smallvilles best. I hope The Flash gets a spinoff, that would be fantastic. Next weeks episode will be just as good, if not better, though.

i just love tonight's episode. I couldn't help but smile when they both raced at the end, and see Clark's smiling while Flash was clearly beating him, you see Clark had someone to connect with now. It was funny when the Flash mentioned that they should start a club or LEAGUE in the future, that was cool[/b]
Next episode looks tight as well. [spoiler]It's just another episode to ruin the relationship between Clark/Lana, and now Clark/Chloe. But, it looks like a tight show, this season is finally starting up to look great.

It looks to me that the Lana arc seems to be nothing more then a lead-in for Clark to tell her his secret.
This was a great episode, probably one of the best I've seen. I loved Bart, and it was so nice to see Clark enjoy having his powers for a change. lol I also loved the scene in the Talon where Bart hits on Chloe, how hilarious was that... :D

I agree the he could easily blame the stone for the goings on that happened including the powers that he displayed. For once he had a ligimate excuse for not giving them the patented dumb look, but he did not dod it. Also how the heck did Swann's chick find out about it?

I dunno about relegating the great Superman foil Mxyzpit....Mxyztp....damn! MXY, to a foreign exchange student with a bad accent....but what I saw of the ep was pretty good. KILLER ending! I dont know if it's been tossed out before, but what could be the nail in the Clark/Lex freindship coffin:
LEX LOVES LANA!!!!
Also toward the end when Lex was in Luthorcorp HQ and took Mxy to level 33.1...is there significance to the flashing white lights? I KNOW there has to be to "I said you weren't alone!" but I guess we have to wait and see...
As for next week: Smallville: Charmed! WTF? Ok, seeing Lois Lana and Chloe in leather might make it worth seeing...! :P

Besides watering down the origins, they also watered down the powers. My cousin was like 'so his thing is making people do what he says?' I say 'his thing in the comics is whatever he wants, since he's more or less a god!'

Lana...ah yeah. meow! Kristin Kreuk is great. You know she's going to be in the sci fi miniseries Earthsea coming up in January? Should be a good one. something else to see Kristin in...yes!
I thought Jinx was a great episode, next to Transference and Run, this was the best episode of season 4 so far. Lots of turning points me thinks Chloe will find out soon, the looks between her and Clark in the end suggested that she might know more than she lets on. Also it seems that Lex is finally going bad! AND he's after Lana now, who btw is also turning more and more away from Clark, maybe he'll get over Lana and open his eyes to Lois in the near future?!.
On another note, Mxy was really hot, I loved the scene where he made Chloe kiss him, great chemistry.

Jinx was another great episode. I think Chloe knows or is very close to knowing Clarks secret. Did anyone notice the thumb print when Lex pushed the bottom in the elevator? It was a triangle with circles connecting each end, which is what is on Brianiacs head. I don't know if it was meant that way or if I'm reaching for something that's not there.

There was so many opportunites to make an awesome episode with this character, and they ruined it. There were alot of turning points in the story line, but the villian was all that villanious in my opinion. At least they didn't go wrong with the Flash episode, but the villian Mzylpekjjosrigrgrhghrp character got ruined and it doesn't make sense

would you like to clarify your reasons for how the character was ruined? I mean don't get me wrong--I'm not attacking you--but making broad declarative statements without any alternative thoughts seems pretty much a waste of board space. How didn't the character make sense? What's your definition of villainous? He did threaten both Clark and Chloe. Just a few thoughts, because I think the way they are weaving the story threads this year through multiple episodes is a huge improvement over the X-Files style of mythology episodes and stand-alone episodes that predominated the previous years. Also, I like the fact they have abandoned the whole notion of every "villain" has to be tied to kryptonite exposure. They are incorporating the comic book universe while still not sacrificing the verisimilitude of the quasi-reality they have already established. Anyway, just a few thoughts from a poster who has been abroad for the past year and had no access to this site. Peace out.

Now that episode with the Flash. What was his name? Bart???? What happened to Barry Allen or was Bart just a name for short?

you are saying that you like that they used characters from the comic book universe. Well, from what i know, Mxylptlk's character is not of a teen with an accent. So, they totally changed his character around to another freak with a power. And from the show, Chloe and Clark killed off his power, so what is he now, a teen again????? They ruined his character by not taking full advantage of what Mxylptk can do. He is able to alternative the 3rd dimension any way he wants, just imagine the story possibilities, which is why they ruined the character of making him a transfer student with the power of convincing.

the cave thing is a new idea, which I don't mind because it's new. But, when they use a villian from the DC comics, that is so animated like Mr. Mxylptlk, they should at least show him differently than a foreign exchange student. It doesn't matter if it's a network ideologoy crap. Look how they treated the FLASH, which was so excellently portrayed, which everybody agreed. but, having MXYLPLK play a foreign exchange student with an accent doesn't make sense as to how it relates to the character in the comics at all, and majority of people do agree with that. And NO, THEY DON'T HAVE CONSISTENCY, which is why the show is still airing, if they have "CONSISTENCY", than it every season will be like the First season, Freak of the Week's in every episode. So, having a non-consistency is a good thing because that way, they get new viewers, rather than old viewers hanging on to the same concept over and over again.

I am now convinced that lana will find out this season about clark, and I am really starting to see that lex is indeed in love with lana. Next week's ep should be interesting.
I thought this week's episode was a little cheesy to be honest, and Lois and Chloe didn't serve any real purpose, they just sorta stood there and looked hot, it was a bit vague. But There were a few hight lights, like Clark dancing..oh man, that was the funniest I've seen in a long time. And how Creepy was Lex when he kept playing the piano with bloody fingers..ew! I was pissed at Clark in the end for not telling Lana what the symbol meant, I mean here she is being honest with him, and he just keeps on lying, I don't see their relationship going in any positive direction.
Overall, not that good an episode, but still entertaining.

Clack is trying his hardest to keep his secret. Had he told Lana what the symbol meant, how long would it take to realize the full spectrum of the secret. I thought it was a pretty good episode in a weird way. The craft idea was a little out there, but it did show another of Clark's weeknesses, magic.

I also dislike many things about this season too, and the show in general which I still love.
1) I hate how people always are getting knocked out and Clark uses his powers to save them or they wake up and remember nothing. This has happened like 20 times if not more.
2) I hate how Lana can touch blood and a witch can takeover her body. Too me, that's just stupid and I wishes they kept this show a bit more realistic (for smallville terms)
3) And I generally can not stand the Cave and all its ideas. I wish they kept it at Clark was sent to Earth and thats it. Now the Cave represents like hundreds of years of stuff and all this other crap. I just don't like it.
Generally, i dislike the direction in which the show is heading, but its still a favorite of mine.

Yeah because a alien disguised as a man who can fly, run superfast, see through things, leap tall buildings, and massive strength is more realistic than a spirit being transfered to its heir.
How could smallville be more "real"? It is about superman as a teenager, how "real" can it get.
You need to wake up and smell the coffee LOK because this is the best season yet and that was only the eight ep.
And generally I love where the show is going because its showing progress instead of the freak of the week BS that almost destroyed it. People are gonna actually find out who clark really is, I don't know about you but that is pretty exciting.

I just heard a commercial for tonite's episode. In the commerical, Clark says to Lex, "You slept with her without knowing her name?"
Now I know that Clark has always been a goody-two-shoes, but COME ON. He knows what Lex is like and this STILL surprises him?

Tonight I have to much to watch or tape all at seven pm. On tonight is Smallville (WB), Lost (ABC), LAX (NBC), Category 6 (CBS), plus the wife will most likely clutter up one of the TV's with the UPN Next Fashion Model reality show. Argggggggg! Damn it.
Think I will tape Cat 6 and Lost and watch Smallville. At least if the couch commando (my wife) gets control I can grab Smallville in a few days as a torrent. Crap I hate when this happens.

Tonight I have to much to watch or tape all at seven pm. On tonight is Smallville (WB), Lost (ABC), LAX (NBC), Category 6 (CBS), plus the wife will most likely clutter up one of the TV's with the UPN Next Fashion Model reality show. Argggggggg! Damn it.
Think I will tape Cat 6 and Lost and watch Smallville. At least if the couch commando (my wife) gets control I can grab Smallville in a few days as a torrent. Crap I hate when this happens.

Last night's episode was interesting Lex took a woman up to his hotel room, he woke up to find her murdered. He was the main suspect. The woman he was with slipped something in his drink, killed another girl and framed him. Clark talked to Lionel, who helped him figure out what happened. Lex said he didn't get the girl's name because they were in the heat of the moment and it rarely happens. Clark found out that Lex lied to him after a report was in the paper about Lex having several one night stands and not ever remembering the names of the girls. Lex was following in his father's footsteps. Even down to sending the girls a pair of diamond earrings but never talking to them again. The girl Lex was with in the elevator to the hotel room was only wearing one earring when they got to the room. The woman that was dead was wearing two. Clark and Chloe found the actual killer and Clark saved Lex from being burned alive by the psycho. (She had sex with him several months before and he didn't even remember her, so she was going to get back at him by killing him.) She worked for LuthorCorp. in the Legal department and new of all of Lex's one night stands. She used what she knew to set him up. Meanwhile, Lana had a nightmare about her witch ancestor Isabelle and saw a woman there at the burning at the stake. That next day she met Jason's mother Genevieve Teague, who looked just like the woman in her dream. Something mysterious going on there. Clark has lost a lot of respect for Lex because of the lie about the one night stand. He tells Lex that Lionel is being more truthful than he is.

This was one of the "normal" episodes where no one else had powers but clark. I loved it, especially the closing line that lex gave to clark: "Don't give up on me yet". Next week should be really interesting I can't wait.

I don't think that Lana will fall for Lex. It seems that he has fallen for her though and that will make some interesting story lines. Might cause another spout between Clark and Lex pushing their friendship farther away.

This weeks episode was very strange. It was kind like a FOTW but with no freak. It was cool how the virus placed its victims in an instant state of nightmare dreaming. The part where Lana went from Torch to nightmare was great. But who was the talking dead girl suppost to represent? Also who do you think sprung Lionel? I think it was Dr. Swann or someone in his group. I believe that Swann will use Edgar (the nurdy cell mate of Lionel in Transferance to get a new body. Why Lionel I don't know yet.

I woun't be stunned if Jason's mother sprung Lionel. She is extremely mysterious and appears to be high up in society that she might know him. Whomever it is that got him out of jail had a lot more power than Lionel, and he knows the person.

I have two questions about Superman that I need answered. 1. Why is Krytonite lethal to him? Someone pointed me to a site for the answer, but all the site did would tell the effects that the different forms of Krytonite have on him. 2. How exactly is Superman able to fly? Another explaination that I sought, and no luck getting it answered. Some of the other Superhumans in comics have explainations as to why their able to fly, I just want to know how Supes powers lets him fly.
One theory as to how Superman flies relates to his ability to shoot heat beams out his eyes. If he can heat the air around him, he could create a cushion of hot air underneath himself (hot air rises) coupled with his super-jumping ability would make him fly. I don't know all the specifics about how kryptonite affects him, but it has something to do with the radiation of the red sun of krypton and the yellow sun of the earth.

Hey I just saw the episode in Season 3 where Jonathan Kent somewhat suffers a heart attack at the end of the episode. So what happened after that? Did he survive? I mean it would be sad to see him go so early.

In the UK through Copyright laws we're only meant to keep tapes of TV shows for no longer than a month (Don't quote me on the time). I'm no lawyer but I'm pretty sure that downloading TV shows (much like it is to download music) is illegal as well unless paid for.
Oh and I never swore so I see nothing wrong with my language so be careful what accusations you start throwing around.

I did however get to download the first episode of Season 4. Yeah I know it's not the way to go but I just couldn't bear waiting to see Lois for all that time. So now that I've seen her I think Erica Durance has nailed Lois very well so far. And she ain't too bad looking either. Seeing Clark fly for the first time was awesome too.

I liked this week's episode. I'm betting Alicia returns again eventually, but if not it was a intelligent, bittersweet resolution to their romance. She was somewhat crazy, but actually did love Clark, and he obviously loved her as well.

I thoughgt this episode was alright, but was a bit disappointed with the way we found out Chloe had sex with Jimmy Olsen. I mean this entire episode revolved around Clark and Lana maybe doing it, but Chloe only got 2 minutes to share her story, which must've happened two seasons ago!!! stupid writting in my opinion. But otherwise a great episode. Clark was so god damn hot when him an Alicia was about to do it!!! holy damn!

I think they added it in there, so that Chloe could relate to what Lana was going through, plus have that advisory at the end. But, unless I miss my guess, during the witch episode, didn't the chief witch point to Lois as being the non-virgin of the bunch?
Also, even though the wedding wasn't legal, according to Clark, don't you think the whole situation with his parents was wrapped up a little too quickly?

Krypto has super powers of his own. In the comic books, wasn't the dog from Krypton also? Here, it probably has "meteor powers".
And, are they ever going to get back to the mystery about the caves? I am tiring already of the whole Lana story line.
I rather enjoyed this weeks episode, lots of turning points for some of the characters. I wonder if Jason really is up to something evil, or if it's just Lex being manipulative.
Also I wish Chloe would tell Clark, all the hinting is driving me crazy!!!
I can't wait for the 18th episode, Chloe as prom queen haha :D

Also I aggree that this whole witch plot line thing is stupid. I know that the Smallville plot has alwasy eluded to the Kryptonian people walking among human for much longer before the arrivle of Clark (or ever Jor-el for that matter) still that is a stupid way to explain it. And to what end? Please don't tell me there is a Charmed/ Smallville crossover episode in the future?

I think the Lionel was the driving force to snooping around the caves. Now that he is on his visionquest, less interest in the caves. So no episodes right now.
Well I watched the 13th episode called Recruit apparently. The interaction between Clark and Lois always brings a smile to my face. When Clark offered Lois for her to stay at the Kent Farm how quick she accepted the offer after what she would have had to go through had she not stayed there.
But it was the line Clark said that cracked me up. The line "What just happened?"

I reckon as it comes to the end of the season it will rack up again since i bet they start to find alod more of those rock things clark got at the start of the season
This weeks episode was so cool....I want Krypto...:D....I luv how they actually got that dog to show emotion and things...i luv the expression he gave when he saw Clarks super speed :D

What an intresting episode. The first 5 minutes was the best. What a cool way to finish off the Dr. Swann character in a proper and decent way. I did have many questions about the episode:
1) Uh lexcorp private jet or no Clark I am sure does not have a passport. Lana's passport is up to date since she was in Paris but Kent no way!
2) The Crouching Tiger fight between CK and possessed Lana was so-so even with the wire work.
3) Preview for next week looks like the FOTW de jour however no wait a minute, now it looks like Gough is taking yet an other opportunity to have a LL named character

Ok Lex gets double crossed and is tourtured all mel gibson style with Lana boy friend (Lethal Weapon 2 electroshock shower)
CK and Lana and the chick Lionel hooked them up with all go the the Temple. They look around for a clue, Clark finds a secret chamber containing a ceremonial outfit and a mask with Kryptonite eyes. He gets sick. Lana and the Hot Asian chick are found by the bad guys. Bad guys pop a couple of caps in the hot chick and take Lana for tourture at the same place as Lex and what his name. Appearently electroshock tourture causes the Witch lady Isabelle to manifest in Lana. Who Knew. She beats up the tourure team.
CK gets captured and the hench men miss the fact that an ancient secret room is now open, they would rather tourture the American Farm boy. As soon as CK get 50 feet away from the mask he regains his powers beats up the guardsb and goes looking for Lana. Finds Lana/Isabelle, she kicks his ass and takes the map. She goes out back and locates the artifact while Ck frees Lex and the jock. CK and Lana get into a neat Crouching Tiger sword fight over the artifact that ends with CK getting a Sai in the shoulder, Lana regaining her control of her body and the artifact missing. Later back in the us, the jock reveals to lana that he took the artifact in the confusion. He then mailed it to himself in the us. So Ck has a piece, Lana and the jock have piece two, Lex nada.

yes lol its still smallville...its changed a whole lot since season 3, giving lana her own story arc :( and lois coming in which IMO i hated b/c that reallllly screws **** up with the mythology, but its not like they have before

WB hand cuffed this show. I used to enjoy it, but this story line about the witches has got to go. What is this, Charmed? Terrible. And Lois sucks too. Talk about going no where fast.
Hey hey hey Lois is fine. Durance is playing Lois just the way I pictured her to be. The chemistry between her and Welling is turning out very well.
It is getting silly though about everybody going after the stones. They all have no idea that they simply aren't for them. Think by the end of the season will Clark have recovered the remaining stones.
And please we need more of Chloe. Seeing as she knows of Clark's powers she better reveal to him that she knows his secret. And to Pete. We want Pete back. At least for a couple of guest spots.

Lois is just too much I think. The show didn't need her. Yeah, their chemistry is okay and I'm getting used to her but she didn't need to be there in the first place.
Having said that I think Chloe is a lot more tolerable now that she knows. For a while she was just too over dramatic, but she has mellowed out since the secret reveal.
Yeah I agree that Lois didn't need to be on the show but as long as it doesn't ruin the continuity I'll be fine.

The problem with TV series like this is after a few seasons to keep storylines interesting they have to make them more and more complex, and inthe end they become convoluted and bogged down. For example the x-files, first 2 and half series great, but then they ran out of episode long storlines like the fluke-man and had to pile more and more story on the abduction thing and by the time you reach seaon 9 its all complex and lacking the fun it used to have. Buffy did that too.
In Smallville terms, having Lana become possesed by a witch/spirit is just a dumbass way of making her character more interesting because there was never enough source material on her to make her interesting. Stuff like that.
Pete can stay gone. He was deadwood on this show. Good Riddance.
Pete needs to come back especially if he's gonna eventually hook up with Lana and working for Lex as in the comics. Why they made him black is a worry though. Oh well I ain't really worried about it.

Sometimes storylines in this show just became so convuluted that they don't know what the hell they're doing with it anymore and don't know where they're going, so they drop it in a clumsy fashion. (Remember when Lex thought he was an invulnerable KryptoFreak? When they introduced Adam for like 10 episodes and gave him all these mysterious aptitudes and a mysterious background, and in the end all they could come up with as a "big reveal" was that he was a zombie?)

Yeah that was rather lame. Well the next episode on the 13th entitled Onyx promises to be a goodie. Apparently some Kryptonite explosion causes Lex to be split into 2 entities. A good side and an evil side going by the name of Alexander. This evil side promises to reveal Lex's evil nature that we all know and love.
The following episode entitled Spirit has something to do with the Prom so I read. There were hopes that Sam Jones III (better known as Pete Ross) would make an appearance but was apparently unavailable :(
