Those are my favorite artists that got nominations lol. Finally justice is served. How did Fall Out Boy get a damn nomination?

WTF at green day getting nominated for blvd. of broken dreams. That song came out last year. **** Green day. I'm glad to see weezer get a nomination, but come "beverly hills"? Damn shame that, that song got them their first nomination. Also i'm glad to see arcade fire get nominated twice. I do hope kayne west smokes out the competition though. BTW I'm not a big fan of the grammys at all. Most of it is bull****.

**** Green Day owch lol. I hate MTV and the radio for this very reason. Come on, you are saying that, when they got ****ing Gwen Stefani and Mari Carey there? How did U2 get there again, didn't they get nominations for all that last year?

When Jethro Tull beat out Metallica for "Best Heavy Metal" album, I finally saw the Grammy's for what they are.

They couldn't have found someone better than Gwen Stefani for Album of the Year? That irritating cumbucket got nominated? The album that had "Hollaback Girl" on it is NOMINATED FOR ALBUM OF THE YEAR?

It's been proven time and time again. The Grammys has no taste in music.

Because "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" is as uninteresting and annoying as them.

Compared to Hollerback girl and dance dance....now that's just over doing it. But it's your opinion, fine with me.

So you admit it that Green Day's song is repetitive and boring and has equally mundane lyrics? ;)

(One more example, from the Foo Fighters: "the best the best the best the best the best the best the best of yoooouuuuu"

I wounder if BOBD didn't get raped by the radio if it would have the same hate it has now....Interesting to think about actually.

It's still boring and repetitive, so it'd be about the same, at least from me.

Maybe, but I guarentee you would look at the song a lot different. Hell even I do now, I know it's the biggest mainstream thing Green Day really has ever done.

Yeah but I mean the whole craze for the song had to have some effect of some kind of your opinion of the song?

No, I really don't care about how popular the song is. I like looking at the song itself, and just because a song is popular doesn't mean it changes my view of it on its own. My favorite band of all-time is The Beatles, the most popular band of all-time, their song "Yesterday" I believe is still the most played song of all-time on American radio - and I love that song. It gets played a lot, yes, but the song on its own can stand up.

Agreed.Ever heard of Jonatha Brooke? She has one of the best voices around and her "Because I Told You So" is such a beautifully written song.

Most people probably havent heard of her,but that doesnt mean her stuff is any less worthy of the trash on radio nowadays.

I say "Boo" to Hip Hop and R&B.

No, I haven't, but I'm curious now. Anyone else you'd recommend by her for a nice little introductory listen?

The year that song first hit it "big" I was over at a birthday party and they had the CD of that song on repeat the entire night, so about 7 freaking hours of "Du.....Du Hast..." and every other annoying ass song by them.
