Any Flaming Lips fans on here?

I got two of their albums so far, "Transmissions from the satalite Heart" and "the soft bulletin". I listened to some of their other ones on rhapsody also. My favorite album of theirs so far is "the soft bulletin" and my favorite song is "race for the prize".

Just cottoned on to them recently. I've known about them for ages and ages and ages, maybe 6 or 7 years or so. They're a great off-beat band. Wish I'd got some of their stuff sooner.

They've done a hell of alot of covers, but they where never meant to be a band in the firstplace so they kinda just do what the hell they feel like. I like the 'Seven Nation Army Cover'

The Flaming Lips reveal tracklisting
tracklisting
More details about 'At War With The Mystics' are revealed

The Flaming Lips have revealed the tracklisting for their upcoming new album 'At War With The Mystics'.

The twelve track album will feature 'Mr. Ambulance Driver' which appeared on the soundtrack to last summer's 'Wedding Crashers' soundtrack amongst other songs such as 'Free Radicals', 'Vein Of Stars' and the first single 'The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song'.

Speaking about 'Mr. Ambulance Driver', singer Wayne Coyne told Billboard: "It is connected to some powerful stuff. Every time I hear it, I think Flaming Lips fans will get it and like it. The metaphors and the ideas in the waiting for the ambulance or something to come and save you still hit me."

Describing the overall sound of the follow-up to 2002's 'Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots', Coyne said: "There are some tracks we've delved into production-wise, where we're trying to get some of that heavy rock 'n' roll with heavy guitar riffs, but not just to be aggressive. On the last couple of records, we've tried to be more expressive in beautiful ways. But sometimes, volume and intensity are great too."

'At War With The Mystics' is released on April 3 with 'The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song' preceding the LP on March 27.

The album will also be available in special edition with a bonus DVD featuring extra tracks, videos and a 5.1 audio mix.

The tracklisting for 'At War With The Mystics' will run:

'The Yeah Yeah Yeah Song'
'Free Radicals'
'The Sound of Failure/It's Dark...Is it Always This Dark??'
'My Cosmic Autumn Rebellion'
'Vein of Stars'
'The Wizard Turns On...'
'It Overtakes Me/The Stars Are So Big, I Am So Small...Do I Stand a Chance?'
'Mr. Ambulance Driver'
'Haven't Got a Clue'
'The W.A.N.D.'
'Pompeii Am Gotterdammerung'
'Goin' On'

"Let Me Be It" is a really good song.

I have Yoshimi ..., Clouds Taste Metallic, the Soft Bulletin, and In a Priest Driven Ambulance. Their DVD documentary "Fearless Freaks" really garnered a lot of respect out of me. They are very cool people and a very talented band.
