Mars Attacks! (Say what you will about this movie. I liked it)
A Nightmare On Elm Street ( I can't believe movies like Jeepers Creepers 2 and The Grudge get a better dvd treatment than this horror classic.)

I really can't wait for a special edition of Blade Runner. The current Director's Cut DVD is pathetic and needs a serious upgrade. But apparently it's still going through a major legal messup with some mother- f***ing sob who (for some reason) has the rights and won't let Warner rerelease it.

Other SEs that I can't wait for are: The Blues Brothers: 25th Anniversary Edition (Coming at the end of August), Toy Story: 10th Anniversary Edition (Out September 6!) and Toy Story 2: Special Edition (Coming December 26- According to the offical DVD trailer for TS1)

I'm waiting impatiently for the Dune, A Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and A Fistful of Dynamite SEs.

Another would be a Kevin Smith Collection. All his movies each with a disk of extras.

Yay!! I'm not the only one!

There's about 30 minutes (listen to the audio commentary) of footage that was cut for ratings reasons. The film would be even better with it, IMHO, mostly because of the very carefully pallend phtography that would make all scenes transition with vitrtually (if not completely) seamless shots.

I'm up for Nightmare on Elm Street. There's tons of material out there that's been on the net for a while and I would love a new docu-type deal about the entire series w/ cast, director, fx artist interviews. I was hoping there'd be a 20th anni. edition, but no luck. Now I'm waiting until 2009 for there to be a 25th anni., but that's a while to wait.

Yes we really need 20th Century Fox to release a 2-Disc Collector's Edition release of THE X-FILES MOVIE: FIGHT THE FUTURE. I cant believe that Fox, the God of double dipping has only one version of this great film. Please Fox give us one double dip we can actually go out and buy and not feel cheated.

I just found on of my favourite movies on DVD in widescreen, but I find that the disc is a bit disappointing. The film I'm talking about is the 1988 classic film "Big" with Tom Hanks. The DVD I got only has a widescreen version (not anamorphic), a Dolby 2.0 soundtrack and the theatrical trailer. I'm hoping that this recieves a 2 disc treatment in the near future, or at least for the 20th anniversary in 2008.

Godzilla, American Beauty, Twister, Wild Wild West, Sleepy Hollow, Jaws 2, Short Circuit, The Sum of All Fears, Scream, Lemony Snicket, The Goonies, Lethal Weapon, Caddyshack, Evil Dead, Scary Movie/Scary Movie 2, and Bad Boys are all already considered Special Editions by their studios (although Short Circuit's SE is out of print and Sleepy Hollow is not labeled as a Special Collector's Edition).

All of the above DVDs except for Jaws 2, Lethal Weapon and the Scary Movies contain audio commentaries and the ones that don't usually feature extensive video bonuses (Jaws 2 has a new 1-hr documentary). Twister, Jaws 2, Lethal Weapon, Evil Dead and Bad Boys were all initially released as non-SE barebones DVDs and reissued in their current form, while there are a barebones and SE version of Lemony Snicket and Short Circuit (Short Circuit's barebones was released after the SE went OOP and Lemony Snicket had both versions released at the same time).

L.A. Confidential is also a Special Edition but in 2005's Home Theater Forum Chat which ran on www.thedigitalbits.com Warner DVD reps said that a more elaborate special edition will probably pop up late this year or early next year.
