Looks to be the worst movie ever made. Seriously, google the trailer and stare in horror.

Horrible acting, UWE BOLL DIRECTING, and Michael Madsen with a mullet!

Can't get worse than that!

Anyone seen the crap for this movie?

Once again, he gets money for the movies because they make profit. Studios arn't trying to deeply look into making movies based on games in full thought, and the only thing they care about is if they make them some profit. Plain and simple.

i posted this in another thread

from wikipedia:
Boll essentially is a modern-day B-movie director. He's able to secure the investors (mostly German, in Hollywood often derisively referred to as "stupid German money"), secure the rights for cheap, picking games with only moderate brand recognition, does all of the actual production himself, and swiftly cranks out a film. While under normal circumstances a director's movies could gross so little he's eventually shut out from every operating studio, Boll is exempt because he funds them under a loophole in German tax law that is supported by contributors and actually rewards films that perform badly, via a writeoff at the end of the year.

I think we should start using his movies in Prosecutions in court, either the guy tells the truth or he has to sit through Uwe Boll movies HAHAH. Dare I draw attention back to this film... hell, why not?

Has anybody else checked out the international trailer for this 'movie'?

Good grief. The editing looks horrendous, just by the looks of the trailer. The swords and the fights go hand in hand as being laughably phony. And I can only feel sorry for these poor wretched actors whose agents must've felt masochistic the day they signed their clients over to Uwe Gellar's film.

Fanible, you're so wrong it hurts. None of his movies to date have broke even. All of his movies flop, the most recent being Alone in the Dark. I guess the studios are just blindsighted by the fact that it's based on something else, so they think it HAS to be successful. Movies today suck. There's only, like, TWO original films coming out this year that I'm interested in seeing... That's Red Eye and Corpse Bride. Anything else I'm looking forward to (Dukes of Hazzard, Harry Potter, Narnia, King Kong, Brothers Grimm etc) are all remakes or based upon something else.

He's using back funds. He's walking away with some money, and so is the studios side-execs. He's like a worm in the hole that keeps sneaking out. It's like everyone knows he's making bad movies, but they don't care because of his proceedings he's managing to convince and make through out-of-country, as well as additional sales.

In the end, someone is getting suckered out, but they don't know that until it's already been made. Eventually his films will stop, but he's going to keep on doing it while he still can. Some game companies just don't know any better, and they're getting a nice little lease deal from their licensed names, so it's not like they're losing anything either... well, except maybe some respect.

Obviously as people continue seeing his films less and less, it'll lower down, but the movies he's already gotten into the deals and the licensing of the names, it's kind of too late, just from the coaxing alone.

The international trailer for Bloodrayne was horrible.4 minutes for a trailer. It got really bad when there was like 2 minutes of just random scene after horrible scene.

My god, I just saw the trailer for the first time. This looks horrendous. I can't believe the actors actually agreed to star in this. The editing looks bad and so do the fight scenes. This movie looks like it doesn't have any good qualities I mean, Kristanna Loken doesn't even look hot.

Sadly, we don't even get a break from Uwe Ball he has 5 more films on the way for the next year.

This movie looks like it was made by a bunch of drunken 14 year olds for $25 dollars. Nothing has ever said "direct-to-video" quite like the promotional material for "BloodRayne."

At least "Alone in the Dark" and "House of the Dead" looked like real movies....this is just something else.

How Uwe continues to get these crapfests made is beyond me.

I am more interested Uwe Bolls next project Dungeon Siege a fantasy film staring Jason Statam, Ron Pearlmen, John Ryse Davis, Ray Liotta, Matthew Lillard and Kristanna Loken. I hoever imagine that Eragon will be the better fantasy film in a year not haveing Harry Potter.

Oh merciful Jesus....Precious God in heaven....that looks like the worst movie ever created. We're talking Manos: the Hands of Fate bad here.....just bloody inexcusably awful. Even the costumes are horrible. Come on...give Kristanna some freakin makeup to at least make her look SOMEWHAT like the character. Why all this BS for a plot? Why not have her killing Nazis like the actual game plot? Horrible. Please, someone kill it before it's released. Oremus.

Trust me we're always serious at our site!

Yes believe it or not I was responsible for some of these questions, and ok so some of the questions are a little crazy, but with virtually no info on the movie yet, we decided to just ask some fun ones.

The one thing I love about Uwe is that you can ask him questions like this and he's fine with all of them. He is honestly one of the nicer people in the industry when it comes to talking to people on websites, trust me. There are some other more famous directors who I'm not so sure would appreciate them, or answer anywhere near as quickly!

You gotta admit you can hate Uwe as much as you like for the movies he makes, but at least he comes up with some great answers in interviews for us to all talk about!

Great answers? your being sarcastic right? Uwe Boll has a huge ego he bashes fans of the games that bash him. Read the IGN review.
Nicer people in the industry? that bashes IMDB in his freaking Commentary near the end in Alone in the Dark?

23. Is this film going to be shown in England?

Dr Boll - Absolutely. This movie will be a blockbuster

FYI, that interview is talking about Dungeon Siege, not Bloodrayne.

Cartagia
08-16-2005, 11:55 AM
FYI, BloodRayne no longer has a distributor because of the utter failure of Alone in the Dark. With any luck it will never see the light of day.

My biggest complaint about Boll is not that he makes crappy movies, but he makes crappy movies out of video games. He's the reason the genre isn't taken seriously. He's said himself he doesn't think games are a viable storytelling medium which just goes to show how out of touch he is. He think that the fans want tnothing more than gore or explosions, that we don't care about the story or getting a quality film.

And, he'll never get Metal Gear. Hideo has said that is a film is ever made that he will be the director (or at least co-director, like [i]Sin City[/]i).
