CHAPTER ONE:
FALLEN

Once there were four friends: Scot Sloan, Tyler Tinton, Preston Pine, and Jonathan Jet. They always walked to school together, as they all lived on the same street, Katty Drive. One day, though, as they were walking by an empty field, something caught Tyler's eye.
"What's that?" He asked, looking over to see a hole in the ground not far away.
"It's probably nothing," Preston said, thinking, as always, that his friend was seeing things.
"What are you talking about?" Scot asked, "I don't see anything."
"Look over there then," Tyler said, pointing to the hole in the ground.
"I've never seen that before," Jonathan said. "I wonder where it goes."
"Maybe a resident of the apartments over there just dug it up," Scot said, referring to an apartment complex across the street.
"No," Tyler said, "it looks like it goes down really deep. Too deep for someone to just simply dig. Maybe it's some company going down there for archeological stuff. They've got the tools, right?"
The four stood there, looking at the hole in the ground, wondering about it, all thinking of going near it to take a better look.
"I'm gonna see what's down there before we go," Tyler finally said, walking ever closer to the hole in the ground.
Once he looked down, he couldn't believe his eyes. A treasure chest stood atop what looked to be a small platform, gold everywhere around it, coming out of the somewhat opened treasure chest, and also all over the floor around the platform.
"What is it?" Scot finally asked, anticipating a reply of "Nothing".
"You're not even gonna believe me if I told you what it was," Tyler replied, still looking around at all the gold displayed before his eyes. "It's a treasure chest."
The other three started laughing. As if their friend had actually seen a treasure chest there.
"I'm not kidding," Tyler said, "look for yourselves."
Thus, the others decided to listen to Tyler, and gathered around the hole in the ground to see the truth. Their jaws dropped the moment they saw it. He wasn't lying to them.
"Well," Jonathan finally said, "I guess you weren't lying, then."
"Let's keep it a secret," Preston suggested. "No one at school will ever believe us, and besides, we want this all to ourselves, right?"
"How are we going to go down there, though?" Scot asked. "It may be a bit too far down for us to just jump down."
"I think I know someone who can help us," Tyler chimed in, "someone who we can all trust. Someone who can find a way down there: Kyle Kiff. He's smart enough to help us out of this one. We'll come back after school with him to retrieve that treasure."

During lunch time that day, Tyler approached Kyle about the mission.
"A treasure chest?" Kyle joked. "With gold? Do you actually think that I would fall for something like that? You must be joking."
"I'm not," Tyler defended, "this is actually true. Look, if you help us get down there, then I'll let you have your share of the gold."
"That does sound tempting," Kyle said, "but you better not be joking, or I'm gonna beat you up."
"You got my word," Tyler frighteningly said, shaking hands with Kyle as a show of trust.
"Then we'll go right after school," Kyle finally said. "Just let me go home first to get some supplies for the journey." Tyler agreed, and before he knew it, the school day was over, and they were at the field again, but this time, they were ready.
Kyle stood there, thinking quite highly of himself, with a rope tied to a stake in the ground just outside of the hole in the ground.
"Ready?" Kyle asked, ready to jumped down. "You all know the drill, I'm gonna go down first, then toss the rope up to you guys, then someone else will go, so on and so forth, until we're all down there. Then we'll throw the treasure chest up there, climp back up, end of story."
They all nodded, and then Kyle was down in the hole in the ground. He looked around and saw the walls that were far away from him on all four sides. Two had sharp daggers lined up on them, the other two had doorways.
"Guys!" Kyle shouted, "You might wanna watch out!" He then threw them the rope, and Tyler came down. They continued without fault until they were all down.
"This place must be booby-trapped," Preston said.
"Who cares," Kyle said, taking the treasure chest off of the platform.
Then, all hell broke loose. The two dagger-lined walls began to slowly go forward to the boys.
"RUN!!!!" Tyler shouted, and they all did exactly that, Tyler, Preston, and Scot running through one of the exits, Kyle and Jonathan the other. Everything was dark. No one could see a thing. They were trapped.

Post what you guys think, so I'll know whether or not I should write the rest

CHAPTER TWO
CONSEQUENCE

Kyle and Jonathan had the treasure chest with them, holding on to it like it would save their lives. Kyle slowly began to open the treasure chest until Jonathan heard the squeaking noise coming from it.
"What are you doing?" Jonathan asked, worried.
"I'm just gonna feel around the treasure chest," Kyle said.

"I can't see a thing," Tyler said, still locked in the tiny hallway. He then began to back away from where he had entered the hallway, and realized that there was a door leading out of the hallway.
"Guys," he said to Preston and Scot, "I think I've found a way out of here."
He then turned the doorknob and pushed the door open. Finally, they could see a large room, with high stone walls, a rock floor, and lit candles providing light on all sides of the room. In the middle of the room in a small wooden chair sat a tall, muscular man with black yet graying hair, with a buttoned up t-shirt and a pair of jeans on.
"Hello," he said in a raspy voice. "I've been expecting someone to be here for a few weeks. It's about time."
"Who are you?" Scot asked.
"I am John Edward Doe," the man said, "but you can just call me Mr. Doe."

Jonathan and Kyle eventually found a door at the end of the hallway that they were in, too. They opened the door, which led to another hallway. That hallway turned them in another direction. At the end of the hallway, they found another door, which led them to the room in which the others were already in.
Once inside the large stone room, the two looked over at Mr. Doe, who was now standing in front of the wooden chair, looking down at Preston, Scot, and Tyler with gleaming green eyes. He then turned and looked at the other boys, and his jaw dropped.
"Put that thing down," he warned, pointing to the treasure chest. Kyle looked down at the treasure chest in his hands with a puzzled, yet somewhat frightened look on his face.
"Why?" Kyle slowly asked, fearing the answer.
"There is a curse upon some of the contents in that chest," Mr. Doe answered in a dreary tone. The treasure chest fell with a thud to the floor, opening the chest. They all looked down at the contents. Besides the gold, which tempted all who were in the room, there were five rings with different symbols engraved on them.
"Don't even think about it," Mr. Doe warned, this time stressing his words a great deal more.
"I never do," Kyle said, leaning over and picking up a ring with a rock engraved on it.
"DON'T!!!" Tyler shouted across the room, hoping that his words may get Kyle to stop his actions. But it was too late. Mr. Doe came running across the room toward Kyle, fists raised.
"I told you..." Mr. Doe said through the anger that the boys could see in his face. Kyle slipped the ring on his finger, and looked up to see Mr. Doe towering over him, ready to strike.
But as Mr. Doe's fist began to come down, a miraculous thing occured. Kyle's arm began to transform into some sort of rocky substance. He then raised his arm, and when Mr. Doe's fist came down, it hit a rock arm, literally.

"AAAAAAAAGGGGHHH!!!" Mr. Doe howled in pain as he held his right arm with his left hand, backing away from Kyle.
"What the hell?" Tyler shouted in amazement.
Kyle looked down at his arm, which was now going back to its original shape.
"I think I know why he doesn't want us to have these rings," Kyle joked, looking around at his friends. "I think you should all take a ring, so we can get outta here."
The other four looked around at eachother, and did just that. They each took a ring, but before they could get out, Mr. Doe brought out a secret weapon.

CHAPTER THREE
POWERS

Mr. Doe wouldn't let them escape with the rings. He couldn't lose them, or else something horrible would happen. Mr. Doe pulled a gun from his pocket, and aimed at Tyler.
Tyler quickly turned around to see the gun pointing towards himself. The trigger was pulled, but the bullet didn't reach Tyler. He had already run across the room, obviously thanks to his powers.
Tyler ran to the opposite side of the room, waiting for Mr. Doe to shoot again, but he didn't. Not at Tyler, anyways. Instead, Mr. Doe aimed at Scot.
"NOOOO!" Tyler shouted, knowing that Scot didn't have the ability to run as fast as he could.
But, once the bullet came close to Scot, it froze, and fell to the ground. Scot looked down at it, knowing exactly why it had frozen.
"I won't let you win," Mr. Doe said, walking closer to the boys. Kyle stepped up in front of him, knowing a power of his, hoping that it could be enough to stop Mr. Doe.
"Run for it," he said, looking back at the other boys. "I'll distract him while you guys get out of here."
"But how are we gonna get out?" Preston asked. "It's not like we can fly out of here. And besides, won't you need help?"
"Try flying, that might help," Kyle insisted."Oh, and I don't need any help." Preston lit up in flames, then soared off out of the hole in the ground. That left Scot, Tyler, and Jonathan there with Kyle and Mr. Doe about to fight. Jonathan then focused, trying to find his powers and use them, to great relief when he grew wings and flew off, following Preston out. Tyler and Scot looked at eacthother, both thinking to themselves that they probably couldnot fly.
"Wait, Scot, you can create stuff out of ice, can't you?" Tyler asked, smiling.
"Yeah, I think I can," Scot replied.
"Then create a ladder so we can get out of here," Tyler said. The remark was met with a smile coming from Scot. He knew what to do.

"See you two later!" Scot shouted to Kyle and Mr. Doe as he and Tyler climbed up the ice ladder out of the caves.
Kyle looked over at Mr. Doe, who had hatred in his eyes. The last thing that Scot saw in the caves before he left was Mr. Doe wiht his gun in Kyle's face, with Kyle already his rock self.
But, although they thought everything was great, as Preston, Scot, Jonathan, and Tyler were walking away, they heard a gunshot, followed by a blood curdling scream.

CHAPTER FOUR
DISAPPEARANCE

Preston, Scot, Jonathan and Tyler heard a scream come from the caves below, and rushed down to save their friend. When they finally all reached the ground, they saw that no one was in the main room.
They all looked around, trying to find another room that Mr. Doe and Kyle could be in. Finally, Jonathan noticed a rather large rock that looked a bit out of place on the wall, so he walked up to it. Preston then knew what he was up to, and rushed over to his side.
"Ready?" Preston asked. Jonathan nodded, and they both pushed the rock into the wall, which caused one wall of the caves to rise and reveal a hidden room.
Tyler and Scot, who had been closest to the rising wall, were amazed, as they hadn't seen Preston and Jonathan on the other side of the room.
Inside the hidden room stood Mr. Doe, looking away from them, shocked.
"Where is he?" Tyler asked, walking into the hidden room. Mr. Doe didn't answer. "I said, 'Where is he?'!" Tyler repeated, now angry. Yet still, Mr. Doe did not answer. So, instead, Scot motioned for Tyler to stay there as he walked in front of Mr. Doe and looked him in the face.
"My firend asked you a question," Scot said, "and I would like it if you would simply answer him." Mr. Doe realized now that he had to talk.
"Well," he said, "I shot at him, but it missed."
"Then who was it who I heard scream?" Tyler butted in.
"That was me," Mr. Doe answered. "Although the bullet didn't hit your friend, he somehow was able to disappear through that wall." He pointed at the wall he was facing. "I think that it was because of that ring."
"It could possibly be," said Preston, walking into the room, having listened to the entire conversation, waiting to join in. "Maybe he could morph into the wall; maybe he could join with it."
Then, without warning, they saw a large face in the wall. It was Kyle. He was safe.
"Well done, Preston," Kyle said. "Now, just wait for me to get out of here." And then, the face disappeared, and out walked their friend Kyle, unharmed.
"But he is still evil," Kyle said, pointing toward Mr. Doe. "Even if he didn't kill me."
Mr. Doe gave them a nasty look, and then said: "You five should get out now. I have friends coming over. Dangerous friends." He motioned toward the ladder. Then he noticed that they weren't budging. "unless you'd like to die, that is..." and with that, the five boys were climbing up the icy ladder out into the fresh sunshine, and, for the first time all day, they felt as if they could do no wrong.

CHAPTER FIVE
AWAKENING

Mr. Doe opened a door to a hidden section of the caves to reveal a room filled with tombs. Five to be exact. He walked to the center of the room, among the five tombs that held horrible beasts. It was time. It was now time to bring them back from the dead, or else everything that he had worked for would be useless. He then pulled out a piece of paper that had words written in a different language, a language that he knew did not belong to any human. He read the words aloud: "Efil ot kcab thguorb eb llahs uoy."
The tombs slowly began to open, and smoke lifted to fill the room. Once the smoke cleared, water flew out of one tomb on Mr. Doe's left and formed itself into a person. A transparent, water-person. Flames jumped out of the tomb next to that one, and a bald human figure appeared in the fire, unharmed. Liquid metal came out of the last tomb on Mr. Doe's left and transformed into a man with short black hair, a mustache, and a sword attached to his left arm where his hand should have been.
The tombs that were on the right side of the room opened next. The first that opened had birds and a tiger come out, then the two combined, and then, after a blur of smoke and fog lifted, a human male with the legs of a tiger, wings on his back, the arms of a very strong human, and a metal mask on was standing there. Electric bolts came out of the last tomb and two human-like creatures came out. They were both made out of lightning and electricity and were electric-blue themselves. One was small, the size of a baby, and was hovering over the ground, as the other was about 6 and a half feet tall, and just stood there, looking directly at Mr. Doe crossly.
"Who are you?" the tall electric man asked, not leavign his gaze away from him.
"I am Jonathan Doe, and I have been sent here to bring you six back to life," said Mr. Doe, shivering, scared now of the monsters that stood before him.
"Who sent you?" asked the man with a sword for a hand.
"Well, actually I sent myself here, excuse the misenterpretation..."
"Stop with your excuses, mortal," said the man who was still on fire. "We want to know why you brought us back."
"Well," explained Mr. Doe, "those rings that gave you those powers have been taken by five teenage boys. They have escaped my grasp, and I thought that you could help."
"You're making us do your dirty work, then?" said the animal man behind his mask.
"No, not at all!" shrieked Mr. Doe, more frightened than ever. "I just wanted you to help. After all, I thought that since if you had those rings they would make you stronger, that you would like to get them back."
"They stole our rings, you say?" asked the transparent man. "Then we should do something, shouldn't we, Animal?" He said this to the animal/man.
Animal then responded, "Yes, we should do something. We will kill those who stole our rings, and make them pay."

CHAPTER SIX
THE REPORTER

Quiet filled the caves as Mr. Doe, looking as frightful as ever, looked over at Animal. Animal now had a feeling of some sort of trust toward Mr. Doe, after he had told them about the boys stealing the rings.
"You're g-going to k-kill them?" Mr. Doe asked, stuttering.
"Exactly," said Animal, smiling behind that pitch black mask of his. "And then we will get what is rightfully ours back. After all, those rings were what created us."
"But you could just steal the rings away from them," Mr. Doe suggested.
"NO!" shouted Animal, now angry. "We should be given the opportunity to destroy those who trespass upon our caves!"
"Fine, then."

At school the next day, the five boys (who now sat together during lunch) heard police sirens blaring across the street. They looked out the large glass windows of the school cafeteria and saw a car chase taking place, two police cars after a white van, but the two cop cars weren't close enough to do anything yet.
The five looked at one another, and all silently agreed on what to do. Less than a minute later, the five of them had snuck out of the school, and now were all following the van.
Kyle sunk into the rock ground, and they all saw a small lump (apparently Kyle) moving in the ground. Tyler, with the speed of lightning, was running faster than all the others after the van. Preston, in flames, and Jonathan, who had sprouted wings, were both flying after the van, and Scot was skating on an ice bridge to the van.
Tyler soon caught up to the van, and grabbed onto the back of it. The owner of it looked back for a split second, and then the next thing Tyler saw was a gun pointed at him behind the window. He ducked (although he still held on), and the bullet barely missed him.
Now, though, he was just trying to still hold on. His hands began to slip from the van, and soon, he was sent flying into one of the cop cars that was behind him.
Scot was the first to reach him, and he picked Tyler up and brought him upon the ice bridge, away from wandering eyes. He then went back to the school, Tyler still in his arms. But before they could get back into the school, they saw a man standing there, blocking their entrance. He was tall and looked rather muscular. He had short black hair that was very messy, and he had a mustache. There was a sword where his left hand should have been.
"Hello," said the man, not seeming to notice Tyler, who looked beaten, yet still conscious. "Give me those rings."
"Mr. Doe sent you, didn't he?" Scot asked as he let Tyler down.
Tyler then stood up and studied the person before them, as if looking for a bomb strapped on him. "Who are you?" he asked, sounding a bit weak.
"I am Rock," the man said. "I guess you've realized the sword. Anyways, I need those rings."
"No!" Scot shouted. He then sent a wave of ice at Rock, who froze there.
"Now let's go before he unthaws," Scot said, and they both ran inside into the school.

By the end of lunch, Kyle, Preston, and Jonathan were back with disappointment on their faces.
"They got away," Kyle said, walking to the lunch table.
"Hey you!" came a voice behind them. They knew immediately who it was. It was Landon Knighte, the guy who knew at least one secret about everyone in school. He had short, spiky black hair, a nose that looked as if it had been broken once before, and was scrawny and small, but made up for it in knowledge.
"What do you know about the heroes?" he asked. "The ones that just went by."
"Nothing," Preston said nervously.
"You're lying," said Landon. "I know where you were a minute ago. Now tell me so I can go tell Mr. Feldmen at the Gazette." And it seemed that from now on, there adventures would be told in the newspaper, and their identities revealed.

CHAPTER SEVEN
RENOWN

Landon stood there, in front of them all, wondering what to say next that would get them on his side, but decided against saying anything, and walked away.
"Well," Scot said, "I guess that we'll have to tell him all about us eventually..."
"No we won't," Tyler blurted out. "Well, not if we don't have to anyway. I'm gonna go throw this in teh trash." He pointed his bag of lunch that he had just finished before Landon arrived, then got up to throw it away. Once he reached the trash can, he saw his rival, Casey Roberts, standing there, his two friends (that Tyler often thought were henchmen), Chase Wincer and Ryan Wills, who towered above everyone in school, right next to him.
"Oh, look, it's the little cool boy!" mocked Casey. "It's about time you got away from those friends of yours. Think that having Kyle, Scot, and Jonathan next to you make you popular?"
"Think that having Chase and Ryan next to you make you strong?" Tyler shot back.
"Oh," said Casey mockingly, "I guess the little cool boy is starting to say things that he shouldn't! Ryan, Chase, get him."
Ryan and Chase were probably the only people in school not afraid of the consequences of beating someone up, so they just decided to lunge at Tyler at the second that they were ordered to.
They were on top of Tyler, throwing punches as much as they possibly could, until finally Tyler punched back. Tyler landed a punch right across Ryan's face, which sent him flying back. Chase, now frightened, jumped off of Tyler, and started running after Ryan. Now no one stood between Tyler and Casey now, no one except...
"Tyler! Ryan! Chase!" it was the principal. Principal Quann stood a few feet away from Tyler, and Tyler could tell that he was angry. Furious. Tyler stopped dead in his tracks. Now he was in trouble.
Tyler, Ryan, and Chase went into the principal's office, where Tyler was able to tell Principal Quann exactly what had happened, and that he had been acting in self defense. On his way out, Mr. Quann stopped him and said: "And don't forget to tell Mr. Roberts to come to my office. I have something to discuss with him."

When Tyler went back to the lunch table, he told the others about what had happened. They, of course, didn't believe him. All of them except for Preston, that is, who, like Tyler, wasn't very popular, and, also like Tyler, had always known that Casey and his goons were horrible.
"Oh, and, by the way, Iv'e got a name for the group," Tyler said.
"What is it?" Scot asked.
"The Cool Boys."

Landon yet again asked Tyler what he had known about the heroes the next day, and finally Tyler cracked: "Look, I only know that they are called the Cool Boys. I saw them yesterday too."
"You did?" Landon asked. "Wow, I only heard of them. What were they like?"
"I'm not telling you any more than that," Tyler responded, "now go away."
"Now I've got a story for the paper," Landon said enthusiastically, "about the world-renown Cool Boys!"
"World renown?" Tyler asked.
"Yeah, of course," Landon explained, "a story about superheroes? That's never happened before, has it? News stations and newspapers everywhere know nothing about it except that they have powers, and now I can make a name for myself, and they can make a name for themselves. Oh, and by the way, everytime you hear anything about them, tell me. If I dont hear from you in a few days, then just watch out, because I need these stories."
"But I told you..." Tyler started.
"I don't care," Landon said. And with that, Tyler knew that he had made a mistake.

CHAPTER EIGHT
LIES

The next day at school, Tyler was bugged by Landon, who wanted more information on the Cool Boys. But Tyelr had had enough after reading that morning's paper to hear about how the Cool Boys had stopped a car thief, when they hadn't been able to do a thing at all. Worse yet was the fact that Landon was now going to be part of the paper's staff. Fred Feldmen, the editor-in-chief of the paper, now had Landon as his up-and-coming journalist after getting the huge story that everyone was after.
So, when Landon had reached Tyler before school that morning, Tyler was already in a bad mood.
"Have anything new?" Landon asked.
"No, it's only been one day," Tyler responded. Then he walked off into the school. But during first period, an idea struck him. He would have to wait until lunch to set it into motion, though.
After first and second period, and after encore, came lunch. Tyler sat down with the other Cool Boys, looking around for any sign of Landon. He knew that Landon would probably bother him again, but no such thing happened. So instead, Tyler went to Landon.
"Want to hear more about those Cool Boys?" Tyler asked, walking up behind Landon, who was sitting down with Casey Roberts and Jack Williams.
Landon turned around and saw Tyler standing behind him.
"Yeah, I would," Landon said happily. Tyler motioned for him to go away from the table, and Landon followed him across the cafeteria.
"Look," Tyler said, "I know who they are." Tyler had to suppress a laugh at the look of sheer shock and surprise on Landon's face.
"Who are they?" he asked.
"You know Joshua Jones, I presume?" Tyler asked. Landon nodded agreeingly. "Well, he and his friend Alex Leckly are both Cool Boys, that I know. As for the others...well, I have the feintest idea who they are." Landon ran off to his table to sit down and finish his lunch while Tyler went and talked to the other Cool Boys about what he had just done.
"You've just screwed us all," Scot said. "You realize what he thinks now, dont you?" Tyler shook his head. "He's gonna keep going to you until you finally crack and tell him the truth."
But Tyler didn't need to tell Landon, as in the next Walter Springs Gazette, the headline read: The Cool Boys Unmasked. Underneath it read:

"The Cool Boys. They have been a mystery to us for the past few days, but now they are no longer. Joshua Jones, Alex Leckly, and Tyler Tinton are now confirmed as three of the five heroes."

Tyler dropped the paper to the floor. Landon knew, as well as the whole town, that he was one of the Cool Boys.

Before school started the next morning, Tyler stood, waiting for Landon to arrive. Finally, he did, and Tyler was not surprised to hear him ask more about the Cool Boys.
"SHUSH!" Tyler demanded. "I am tired of hearing it! I am tired of the lies! Why must you write that in the paper, Landon?" Landon looked taken aback by this.
"What do you mean?"
"You know perfectly well what I mean," Tyler said, his hands now struggling not to hit Landon in the face.
But then, Landon did something that Tyler had not expected. He pulled out a lighter and clicked it on, a rather large flame erupting out of it. He swished it toward Tyler, who began to take a few steps back. Tyler then ran to the newspaper stand across the street, Landon following close behind him.
When he reached the stand, he gave teh man who was standing there a dolloar and took a copy of the Walter Springs Gazette, and waved it in Landon's face.
"Give me that lighter," Tyler demanded, "so I can show you what I think of your stories." Landon looked frightened, but wouldn't give Tyler the lighter.
"I SAID, GIVE ME THE DAMN LIGHTER!" Tyler shouted, looking outraged. Landon was now so frightened that he did as he was told and gave Tyler the lighter.
Tyler then raised teh paper in the air, and set fire to it using the lighter.
"Have a nice day," he said, as the ashes fell to the ground. He then walked off, and threw the lighter into the trash, hoping that Landon was angry enough to rummage through the trash to find it.

CHAPTER NINE
BLACKMAIL

It seemed as though that school day would last forever. During first and second period, not only did Tyler have to be in the same room as Landon, but he also had to sit next to him. And, although there were no words exchanged between the two, Tyler had a hunch that something was going on, something that Landon didn't want him to know about.
And sure enough, he was right. As he walked into the lunchroom, Tyler noticed decorations spread across the room. Never before had the cafeteria looked like the way it did now.
A banner ran, hanging from the ceiling, across the cafeteria, saying "Congratulations Cool Boys". Tyler began to feel bad, thinking that Landon had put this together for him, but then Landon got up to the microphone that the principal had always used, and began to speak to the school.
"Hello," came Landon's voice across the cafeteria. Tyler walked over to a lunch table where Scott, Kyle, Preston, and Jonathan sat, and sat down with them. "Today I would like to congratulate the Cool Boys, for their amazing skills, and their abilities to save lives. I said, 'I would like to', but I really wouldn't anymore. See, I asked Principal Quann and Vice Principal Tane to help me out with this, but then I was attacked by one of the so-called "heroes". Tyler Tinton came to me earlier and threatened me." He gave Tyler a menacing look, and was about to continue when a shout came out across the cafeteria.
"NO I DIDN'T!" came the shout, and all the eyes of the cafteria turned from Landon to Tyler, who was now standing up, furious. He then walked up to Landon and took the microphone away from him. "Landon has been harassing me for the past few days..." He heard people booing him, and decided to stop talking.
"They believe me," Landon whispered, smiling.
"I didn't threaten you!" Tyler shouted at Landon. Landon looked as if he had just won the lottery.
"What a temper you have," he said, looking at Tyler. "Besides, I have a witness." He pointed to the door, where in walked the owner of the newspaper stand. "Tell them, Fred!"
Fred walked up to Landon, who began to speak again."This is Mr. Feldmen, owner of the stand across the street." He handed the microphone to Fred.
"Not so fast!" Tyler shouted, walking closer to Landon and Fred. He then took the microphone from Fred's grasp, and addressed the crowd: "Landon is lying! He badgered me about the Cool Boys until I finally cracked under the pressure..."
But then, Landon took the mic.
"Tyler and the other Cool Boys should be kicked out of school for what they've done! Alex and Josh have been whiny little jerks lately..."
"They haven't done anything!" Preston shouted from across the cafeteria. "They're not even part of the Cool Boys!" Scott shot Preston a foreboding look, but it was too late, as Jonathan had jumped into the conversation.
"He's right!" Jonathan shouted.
"Then, who are the Cool Boys?" Landon asked with a smile on his face.
"I am!" shouted Preston.
"Me too!" came Jonathan's shout.
"I am too!" Kyle screamed.
Then, it was only Scot who had not revealed his identity to the crowd.
"I'm a Cool Boy too!" Scot shouted, standing up out of his chair.
"Well, then," said Landon, "I guess we have our front page story worked out quite well. Yes, I can see it now: Five Freshmen Join Group to Terrorize Citizens."
"Terrorize?" Tyler said, trying to stay calm. "The only person around here that is terrorizing people is you."
"Look," said Landon, "I've got a witness to your irrational behaviour right here. I think you should give up."
"Most people would give up," Tyler said, "but I'm not like most people. Besides, if that witness did see me threaten you, then maybe he saw you threaten me first?"
The smile left Landon's face as he heard Tyler's argument. "That will be all," Landon said into the microphone. He then dropped the mic and ran out of the cafeteria. It seemed as though the Cool Bouys had won their first major battle against their first major villain.

Okay, before you read this, I've got to say, thanks for reading this everyone. This one will be a bit shorter than the others, but trust me, less is more.

CHAPTER TEN
LIGHTNING FREAK

The cafeteria quieted. Landon raced out of the door, Fred following behind him. Once they reached the front door, Fred said to Landon: "That was the worst act ever. we were supposed to get rid of them, wipe the floor with them, after all, that is the only reason why I let you join the staff at the paper, because you can get to them. But I guess that you can't even do that, then, can you?"
Landon looked at him with a sad expression on his face, but then it turned into a smile. "I'll be right back," he said, and he ran back into the cafeteria. He walked slowly over to Casey Roberts' table, and whispered something into his ear. He then got up and left to talk to Fred Feldmen.
Casey began to tell his friends, Chase Wincer, Ryan Wills, and Jack Robinson all of what had just been said.

Tyler saw Landon leave their table, and walked over to talk to them.
"What was that all about?" Tyler asked.
"None of your business," Casey spat.
"Shut up, Roberts!" Came Preston's voice from behind Tyler. Tyler turned around to tell him to go on, but Preston spoke first: "Tyler, look out!" He warned, pointing behind Tyler. Tyler turned around to see Jack, Chase, and Ryan all heading toward him, ready to pounce.
And then it happened. He didn't mean to do it, but lightning bolts surged out of Tyler's hands toward the three, which, upon their strike, threw the three out of the glass windows, suspended in air for a few seconds, which seemed to go on for hours, until they finally came hurtling toward the ground.
Everyone in the cafeteria looked at Tyler, awed and flabbergasted. Kyle and Scot looked hatefully toward Tyler. Their rings fell to the floor, and the two turned back and kept walking to the other end of the cafeteria.
"Are you quitting?" Tyler asked sadly. But no response came. They kept on walking, not saying a word. Tyler bent over and picked up the two rings. Preston then looked at him, took the ring off, and threw it to him.
"No," Tyler whispered, "you can't." Then Preston turned around and walked to the other two.
"Are you going to quit, too?" Tyler asked Jonathan. Jonathan looked at him, confused, not knowing what to say or do.

Now, Tyler had all five rings. Jack, Chase, and Ryan were all in the hospital. Tyler couldn't walk down the hallways without thinking that all eyes were on him, hatefully. No one talked to him anymore, yet, if anyone was to talk about him behind his back, they would use his new nickname, "The Lightning Freak." Yet, with all this, there was still the growing fear that the Rings' Creatures were out there, ready to get him, and he would have to face them, alone, if they were to try.

So, what are your thoughts so far of this story? Do you think I should write more? Post on here to tell me, so I can start work on chapters 11-20.

CHAPTER ELEVEN
TRUTH

Tyler put the rings back into the treasure chest, wishing for an alternative. But, his friends had left him, and he was alone. He took the chest out of the caves and brought it to his home, where he kept it in his closet.

Days passed by after the incident in the cafeteria, then weeks, and months. It was the month of November until his friends finally came around to talking to him.

He walked into the school on a cold November Monday morning, expecting to be ignored yet again. But, instead, he was greeted by an old friend at the door. It was Jon. It was surprising how much had happened to him in the past two months. His brown hair was quite a bit longer now, where as Tyler's short black hair had practically stayed the same. It was as if two years had passed instead of two months.

"Hello", Jon said, a smile spreading across his face.
"Hi," Tyler said gloomily.
"I wanted to talk to you," Jon said, beginnig to walk with Tyler to their first class of the day. "I know what happened."
"What?" Tyler said, puzzled.
"That day, in the cafeteria," Jon started, "when you sent those three to the hospital. They tried to attack you, didn't they?"
"How..." Tyler's words couldn't escape him.
"That newspaper stand across the street, they had some camera over there talking about some fight that happened earlier..." Tyler started to feel bad.
"...when they captured those three about to pounce you. They just caught it on the tape today. You're safe. They're gonna have an assembly later to apologize for what happened to you."
"Really?" Tyler asked.
"Really," said Jon. "Oh, and, by the way, now that I know what really happened, can I come bakc to the group?"
"Yeah," Tyler answered, "but there's not much of a 'group' anymore. Come by my house later to get the ring."
Jon looked at Tyler and gave him a smile. "I'll see you later, then."

CHAPTER TWELVE
PAYBACK

An assembly was held later that day during their third period class, and almost everyone apologized to Tyler afterward. That is, everyone except Jack, Chase, Ryan, Casey, and the two people Tyler wanted to hear from the most, Scot and Kyle. Preston came up to Tyler during lunch that day and asked if he could rejoin the group, which brought a smile to Tyler's face. Tyler told him to be at his house later that evening, that way he, Preston and Jonathan could officially restart the Cool Boys.

That evenign came, and Jonathan and Preston arrived together at Tyler's front door. They rung the doorbell, and Tyler came bolting out of his room to the door. Once he opened it, the meeting of the Cool Boys began.
"So," Tyler said, once they were in his room, ready to take the rings out of the treasure chest, "I guess Scot and Kyle aren't coming?"
"No," Preston said. "Those bastards are pals with Casey Roberts and his goons now."
"Yeah," Jon said, "I tried to talk to them, but they just wouldn't listen. They were too busy talking to Casey about how to get you back for him being suspended."
And indeed they had been. Casey, along with Jack, Chase and Ryan had all been suspended for trying to attack Tyler and then lying about it for over a month. Casey was talking to Scot and Kyle after school when Jonathan came to try to bring them back.
"He thinks that he's gonna get away with this?" Casey said angrily. "I'm Casey Roberts, the richest kid in town! My parents practically own this city! I know they won't stand for this! I'll get him..." It was then that Jonathan came out of the shadows of a nearby building and walked over to them.
"So I hear that you're trying to get back at Tyler for being suspended," Jonathan said, walking up to him. "Don't you think that's a bit harsh. After all, it's your fault, not his."
"Go on, Jet," Kyle said, turning around. "This isn't your business." Jonathan turned back and ran for it, knowing that if he stayed around any longer, there would be hell to pay.

"So," said Tyler, "I guess there's no bringing them back?"
"We didn't say that," Preston said, "but it's gonna be pretty hard to do."
"Sorry to change the subject, Tyler," Jonathan said, "but have you heard anything about the Rings' Creatures lately?"
Tyler's expression went from sad about his two former friends to worse.
"Yes," he said, turning around so as to not see them. "I have."
"What is it?" Preston asked.
"They...they...they've taken over the Gazette. I heard it from Landon Knighte himself. From now on, they're only going to be writing about how good the Rings' Creatures are, and how the Cool Boys imploded. And worst of all, Mr. Doe is on their side."
"Then why are we waiting right here?" Preston asked. "Let's go to the caves and find him."
"I was waiting for you to say that," Tyler said. He turned back around to face his friends,a smile on his face. "Let's go then."

So, what will happen? CHAPTER THIRTEEN will be on line within the next ten days.

It's taken a bit longer than expected, but here is Chapter 13:

CHAPTER THIRTEEN
SEARCH

Tyler, Jonathan and Preston set off to the caves to find Mr. Doe, knowing that they would run into the Rings' Creatures at any time on the way there. Before they could get off of their street, Preston's mom called for him to come to his house do do chores.
"I'll be there," Preston said, "but go on. i'll try to meet you there."
Preston ran off back to his house, and left Tyler and Jonathan to go by themselves. Tyler didn't konw if the two of them could take on all of the Rings' Creatures alone, but they would have to try.

Once they reached the entrance to the caves, Animal stood waiting for them.
"We knew you would be here eventually," Animal said. "It's about time, too." The other five came out of the hole in the ground and pounced toward the two heroes, who backed away just on time. Hydro threw a freezing spell at them, which they both, yet again dodged.
Tyler saw Animal heading straight for him in the air and ducked, nearly avoiding him. When Tyler got up, he noticed a rip in the back of his shirt where Animal had got him.
"Watch out, Tyler!" Jonathan screamed. Tyler turned around to see Hydro walking slowly toward him, ready to throw another freezing spell at him. Tyler stood there, frozen by fear, expecting for the freezing spell to reach him. But it didn't. Tyler opened his eyes and saw a puddle on the ground where Hydro had been. The puddle looked back at him. Behind the puddle was Preston, who had apparently used his fire powers to stop Hydro from freezing his friend. Preston grinned, then ran over to Tyler and Jonathan, and then all three jumped into the hole in the ground into the caves.
Mr. Doe was tied up in a chair in the middle of the room. Why would they tie up an ally of theirs?
Tyler walked up to him and tore the tape of his mouth.
"Ouch!" Mr. Doe screamed.
"Quiet," Tyler said, "I need some answers. Why did they tie you up?"
"Because they found out that I was trying to kill them."
"You're not on their side?" Tyler asked.
"No," Mr. Doe said, "I was the one who revived them, though."
"Why?" Tyler asked.
"Because they weren't truly dead. They needed to be revived to be truly killed."
"Okay, then," Tyler said, "so here's my last question: can I trust you?"
Mr. Doe nodded. Tyler let him out of the chair, and they all went out of the caves using the back hidden entrance through a pipe. Tyler looked over to where the Rings' Creatures had been earlier. They were gone.

CHAPTER FOURTEEN
ROBBERY

Tyler, Preston and Jonathan left Mr. Doe behind and ran back to their street, where they immediately knew something was wrong. Tyler looked at his house. The door stood ajar, and Tyler knew something was wrong.
"Someone broke in," he said in a voice that was barely a whisper.
"Why would someone break into your house?" Jonathan asked.
"Isn't it obvious?" Tyler said, turning around to his friend. "I'm an ex-hero, I've pissed off quite a few people, and my dad is running for mayor."
"He is?" Preston said. "I didn't know that."
"Yeah, he told me and my mom a few weeks ago that he was planning on running."
"Who else is running?" Preston asked. "That could lead us to some kind of explanation."
"Look, we don't even know if someone did break in yet," Jonathan reasoned, "for all we know, Tyler's dad could have accidentally left the door open."
"Then let's go inside and find out," Tyler said, and without another word, he walked into his house, with Jonathan and Preston right behind him.
Nothing was taken out of the living room, nothing from the kitchen, although it was quite obvious that someone had gone through it, nothing out of the hall, or Tyler's older sister, Ashley's room. It all led him to his room.
Once inside, he knew that someone had been in there. His bedsheets had been thrown across the room, the curtains had been ripped, his stereo smashed, and the one thing that scared him the most was that something was missing. In his closet was the treasure chest, and in the chest was Kyle's old ring. Scott's ring wasn't there. Someone had stole it.

CHAPTER FIFTEEN
CANDIDATE

Tyler's parents arrived home later that evening, both furious to see the house in the condition it was in. Everything from the kitchen was strewn across the floors and countertops, everything from his room either broken, ripped, or somewhere in his room where he had not put it.
He explained to them that someone had broken in and his parents, although frightened, were somewhat relieved and they understood.

"So, you're running for mayor," Tyler said, walking into the living room later that night where his dad sat watching T.V.
"Yeah," his dad said, a smile spreading across his face.
"Could I help out with the campaign?" Tyler asked curiously.
"Sure," his dad answered, pulling a stack of fliers out of his briefcase, which had been right next to the couch, then handing them to Tyler. "Could you pass these out in front of the supermarket tomorrow?"
"Yeah," Tyler said, taking the fliers, which had a picture of his father on them, reading: Vote 4 Tinton! "By the way, dad,"Tyler said, "who else is running?" His dad's expression went from happy to a bit angry.
"A town hero," his dad said, "Joseph K. Feldmen. He's one of those Creatures that everyone's been talking about lately."
"The Rings' Creatures?" Tyler said. His dad nodded.
"Yeah," he said. "Them. He's the bald one with the fire."
"Flamethrower," Tyler uttered under his breath.
"What?" his dad asked.
"Nothing," Tyler said, shaking his head. "I've got to go." He then got up and ran out the door to Preston's house down the street.
"Preston!" Tyler said, walking in after Preston had opened the door.
"What's the matter?" Preston asked worriedly. "You look like you've just seen a ghost."
"Flamethrower's running against my dad in the myor election!" Tyler shouted. Preston looked flabberghasted.
"Wha...?" Preston started.
"He's the one who stole from my house!" Tyler said, panicked.
"Quick, Tyler," Preston said. "Go get Jonathan. Then we'll go to see Mr. Doe. I have a funny feeling that he can point us in the direction of the Creatures."
Tyler did as he was told and ran to get Jonathan, and then the three set off to find Mr. Doe.
Once at the caves, they found that Mr. Doe wasn't there, but there was a note on the stone table that read: To the Cool Boys- I don't have much time. When you get this, go to the Abandoned Home of Hellfire, there you will find me. Be prepared to face them.
"They took him," Tyler said. "They took him to this house. 'The Abandoned Home of Hellfire', who's heard of it?"
"I have," Preston said, "it's on the North side of town. If we hurry, we might be able to save him. I'll lead the way."
They got out of the caves and headed to the Abandoned Home of Hellfire. But, on the way there, they ran into an old enemy.
"Hello," said Casey Roberts. "Welcome to your Hell." Then they noticed twelve of Casey's thugs start walking out onto the street, among them were Landon, Ryan, Chase, and, surprisingly, Kyle and Scott.

CHAPTER SIXTEEN
UNKNOWING

"Kyle?" Tyler said, shocked to see his friend on the other side. "Scott? What are you two doing here?"
Neither said anything, but agave Tyler, Jonathan, and Preston nasty looks.
"So I see you're on Casey's side," Preston siad casually. "How'd that happen?"
Yet again, Kyle and Scott said nothing. Then Jonathan tried to get them talking.
"What's wrong?" He said, noticing the anger in their faces.
"You," Kyle said, pointing at Tyler. "You attacked those three a few months ago in the cafeteria."
"No I didn't," Tyler said, taken aback. "Casey told you that, didn't he?"
Casey smiled from between Kyle and Landon. Preston noticed it, and instantly pounced at Casey, his anger getting the best of him.
"NO!" Tyler shouted. Then he jumped after Preston, who was throwing punch after punch at Casey, not caring at all wether the bully in front of him would live or die. "Stop it!" Tyler grabbed Preston by the arm, but Preston jerked his arm away from Tyler's grasp and continued throwing punches.
Then Jonathan noticed all of Casey's thugs start surrounding Tyler, Preston and Casey. That is, all of them except for Kyle and Scott, who appeared to have stopped dead in their tracks, not wanting to continue the fight. Jonathan then started to walk up behind Landon and Jack. Once he was right behind them, he grabbed a hold of their shirt collars, and pulled back, causing them to go back a few feet behind him.
Tyler turned around and saw Ryan's fist comign straight toward him. He ducked, and the fist knocked into Casey's face. Preston then let go of Casey and turned his attention to the people surrounding him. Chase seemed to want to go after him, but he couldn't pay much attention to Chase as Chase's older brother Chuck landed a hit at Preston's stomache, causing him to double over on the ground.
Tyler started to help his friend up, but Casey, who had fallen down at the time, kicked him in the back of the leg, causing him to fall over on top of Preston.
Jonathan, too, had joined in on the fight, but, just like the other two, had been hit down by one of Casey's thugs whom he didn't even know, before he could even reach Tyler and Preston.

All the while, Kyle and Scott stood behind, watching the fight. Tyler, Preston, and Jonathan were all on the ground being kicked at by Casey and his thugs, until a lightning bolt hit the ground nearby. Everyone of Casey's thugs immediately turned their attention to where the bolt had struck, and saw Kyle and Scott standing there, ready to fight at long last, Kyle wearing Tyler's ring of lightning. One of the thugs ran at Kyle, only to be thrown backward into a trash can. The others all ran off, away from the fight.
Tyler, Preston, and Jonathan all slowly got up, and Tyler walked up to Kyle, a slight smile across his face.
"I see you decided to change the plan up a bit," Tyler said, taking the ring back from Kyle. "Why'd you wait so long?"
"Because," Kyle explained, "for a minute there, I was starting to believe them. You would too if you saw Preston charging at someone like that."
"Well, then," Preston said, "I guess you two are with us now? Well, then, here you go, Kyle." He took a ring from his pocket and handed it to Kyle. Tyler looked over at Preston, shocked. "What? I decided I'd bring an extra ring along just in case," Preston added, as if reading Tyler's expression.
"Let's go," Tyler said, ignoring Preston's answer. "Mind you, this might get a little ugly."
And with that, the five friends walked onward to their destination, not knowing what awaited them, but hoping that they could face it.

CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
FOUND

"So, Tyler, where are we going?" Kyle asked as they started walking. "You didn't tell me much of the plan when we were talking on the phone the other day."
"Do you know the abandoned building of hellfire?" Tyler replied.
"Yeah, I do," Kyle said, shuddering. "It's only the worst place to be in the whole town. They say it's haunted."
"It isn't haunted," Preston said, hurrying up alongside them. "There it is now." He pointed up the hill, toward an old house with boarded up windows, standing alone by burnt grass and the rubble of old burned down houses. It was the only house to survive a fire a few years back in that neighborhood.
"I don't like the look of that place," Scott said, a look of fear noticeable on his face.
"I don't think you should go in,Scott," Tyler suggested. "After all, you don't have your ring. Maybe you should go back."
"No," Scott said, "I'm staying here, wether you like it or not."
"Fine then," Preston said, "then I won't be bothered when you die in there."
"Don't try to scare him off, Preston," Tyler warned.
"Are we going in or not?" Jonathan asked finally. Then Tyler walked up to the front door and pushed it softly, sending it back, revealing a dusty living area.
No one was there. Tyler looked up the staircase after hearing a noise coming from its direction.
"Let's go," he whispered, and he and the others climbed the staircase up to the second floor. He walked into a room where he saw Mr. Doe sitting in a chair, tied and gagged. He was awake, though.
The five of them walked over to him, and Tyler took the tape off his mouth.
"IT'S A TRAP!!!" he shouted once the tape was off his mouth. The door swung closed behind them to reveal Flamethrower standing for them, apparently having waited for them.
"Hello," he said. "Where are the rings?"
"You already have one of them," Tyler said angrily.
"No, I don't," said Flamethrower calmly. "But, it is to my understanding that someone from your school stole one of them from you. Can you imagine who that could be?"
"Landon," Tyler whispered to himself.
"Yes," said Flamethrower, still smiling, "and he still needs to bring it to us. He is starting to anger us."
"Where are your friends?" Preston asked.
"Oh, they're around," Flamethrower said, "I think they're settling a score right now."
"Then I have to go," Tyler said, starting to grow angrier.
"Fine," said Flamethrower, "I'll see to it that you will." He picked Tyler up by the shirt collar and threw him out the window.
"NO!" Preston shouted. He jumped out after his friend, picked him up, and then ran off for the hospital.

CHAPTER EIGHTEEN
FROZEN

"What happened to him?" The doctor asked when Tyler was laid down on the bed.
"Nothing," Preston lied.
"Oh, I know what it was," the doctor said. "It was one of those rescue missions of yours, wasn't it? Well, I must say, you're doing a crack job."
"So are you, Dr...." Preston said.
"Dr. Knighte," the Doctor said.
"Knighte?" Preston repeated. "As in Landon Knighte?" The doctor nodded.
"That would be my son," the doctor answered.
"Really?" Preston said.
"Yes," the doctor said. "Now, if you could go on, I could help your friend here get better a bit quicker."
"Fine," Preston said. He walked out of the hospital then sprinted off back to the abandoned home of hellfire to help his friends.
But, only a few blocks away, he ran into Landon Knighte, who happened to be wearing a ring on his finger.
"Hello," Landon said, a smile spreading across his face.
"What do you want?" Preston said, agitated.
"This!" said Landon, raising his hand, an odd mist coming from it, surrounding Preston and freezing him there to the spot.
"That's more like it," said Landon, walking closer to the frozen body.

"Why are we just waiting here?" Kyle asked Flamethrower, who wouldn't let them leave the room.
"A couple of friends are on their way," Flamethrower said, grinning triumphantly.
Then, footsteps notified the three Cool Boys that someone was running up the stairs. In walked Animal a few seconds later. He looked down at a puddle of water on the floor, and knew who was there. The puddle transformed into Hydro, who stood there before them, looking unnerved.
"That reporter kid has the ring," Flamethrower told Hydro, who nodded, then ran downstairs and off to find Landon.
Flamethrower then turned to Animal. "You wait here for me," he said, "I'm going to help Hydro out." Then he too left, and Animal was alone with three of the Cool Boys.
"Jump out the window," Jonathan whispered to Kyle and Scott.
"Why?" Kyle asked.
"Just do it," Jonathan demanded. Then the two did as they were told and jump out the window.
Kyle and Scott stood there on the ground and looked up for a sign of their friend. A few seconds went by, and they could hear something going on upstairs. Jonathan and Animal were fighting.
Then, a loud bang, and an eagle went soaring out the window, and looked down at the two, motioning for them to run. It was Jonathan.

Landon was standing there, admiring his work, when a voice rang out behind him.
"Give us the ring, boy!"
He turned around. It was Flamethrower.
"Why should I give you the ring?" Landon barked.
"Because," said Hydro, forming there in front of him next to Flamethrower, "there are two of us, and one of you."
"Does it really make a difference?" Landon said.
"Yes," said Flamethrower. A flame burst out of his arms toward Landon, who tried to dodge it, but had Hydro run up to him and slip the ring out of his grasp. Then he slipped the ring on his nearly transparent finger, and he became a bit more solid looking. Then he froze Landon to the spot, and the two of them brought the two ice sculptures that were Preston and Landon back to the abandoned home of hellfire.

It's been a while, but I decided to bring the old story back and see if I could revive it.

CHAPTER NINETEEN
SNEAK

Jonathan soared overhead as Kyle and Scott continued to run from the old, once-abandoned building.
"Run faster!" Kyle shouted at Scott who was a few feet behind him, causing Scott to pick up speed.
Then Scott noticed something, two people in the distance walking through trees carrying two large things that he realized were people. He stopped, throwing his arm out to grab Kyle's shoulder to get him to also stop.
"Look over there," he whispered, pointing at the two figures walking through the trees, coming toward them.
"Do you know who that is?" Kyle asked quietly.
Scott looked more closely, trying to see who exactly it was, and then he realized it.
"That's Flamethrower, and Hydro with him."
"But who are they carrying?" Kyle asked.
"Let's not stick around to find out," Scott said, starting to walk in the other direction.
"No, we have to," Kyle demanded. "I know they have Landon, but we don't know who the other person is. What if they have one of our friends with them? What would we do if they had Tyler? Or Preston, even?"
Scott stopped to give it consideration.
"Okay then," he finally said.
Then the two of them headed back to the once-abandoned building as they saw another eagle flying out of the window, this time it was Animal, chasing after their friend Jonathan, and neither of them had the time to tell their friend and save another one at the same time.
