I don't understand it! this movie was a big box-office hit in 1985 but suddenly it got golden rasberry awards including worst picture of 1985, but screw that!
This was a good sequel to the classic original, there's a good script by James Cameron, plenty of action, war, good acting, Charles Napier and a great speech done by Rambo himself at the end!
Anyone else agrees that this movie is underrated?

This movie kicks so much ass on so many levels, this is the prime example of a guy movie. People say how terrible the Rambo movies are, but those are the people who forgot how to have fun at the movies. Rambo kicks ass!

The second movie is underrated nowadays because the third one sucked ass. If they hadn't of made the third one people would still watch the movies IMO

The reason RAMBO (6/10) is a lame sequel is that it abandons everything that made the original FIRST BLOOD (8.5/10) great....Suspense, thrills and most of all an intelligent script with a social conscience. The original actually created a believable superman action hero that had deep psychological issues and problems that weren't there just for window dressing. It delved into the psyche of the hard core killing machine and showed what it takes be be an efficent assasin.
Unfortuanately the sequel abandon any sense of realism or tension by morphing Rambo into your typical mindless hero whos body count is much more important than charecter or suspense. I mean hell, the whole way through you know Rambo would win, in the original it could have gone either way. (Escpecially if youve read the nail biting Novel of the same name by David Morrel) There was actually a physical threat in the action scenes and with that came a great sense of tension.
But hey thats just my opinion and after all it is certainly better than the average actioners made these days, but that dont say much.
