Still holding out hope for a BLADE 4? Umm...you might want to temper your expectations. Wesley Snipes filed suit Monday against New Line Cinema, writer/director David Goyer and executive producer Toby Emmerich claiming that the cast, crew and script of BLADE: TRINITY were forced upon him, that he is still owed a portion of his fee, and that he was racially discriminated against and harassed. Snipes, who wrote a five-page letter of complaint to New Line founder Bob Shaye after TRINITY wrapped, says in his complaint that he had misgivings about Goyer directing the film and was only apprised of that fact six weeks before production was set to begin. He goes on to allege that, despite having script approval, his complaints about the shooting script's "juvenile level of humor" and focus on supporting characters Hannibal King and Abigail Whistler were not adequately addressed. In the complaint, Snipes blames Goyer for the film being a critical and commercial disappointment saying the director was a "disasterous choice" and that the result was a "bloody mess" (pun intended?). Snipes also claims that Goyer made racially motivated statements and refused to discipline a crew member who wore a t-shirt Snipes found racially insensitive. He adds that a predominantly white cast and crew was hired, which led to him feeling isolated and excluded. On the monetary side, Snipes believes he is owed $3 million on his fee and that New Line incorrectly withheld income tax when he should have been exempt. New Line and Goyer wouldn't comment on the matter citing ongoing litigation. Snipes is seeking $5 millino in damages. In a related story, Wesley Snipes has finally lost his ****ing mind. Allegedly.

Hmm sour grapes.
I dont think Goyer would have anything nice to say about Snipes either, he said he wasnt even willing to take Blades character in a new direction and wouldnt even take his sunglasses off in some scenes. I dont really have that much respect for Snipes anymore, Blade 1 and 2 were his two finest films and as far as im concerned he can go back to making bad B-action movies like Passenger 57 and Unstoppable.

Snipes has always been unlucky with his movies, blade 1 looked like a minor "travolta/pulpfiction" but he managed to choose/get bad movies after that as well... i think its sad cause in my opinion he is a great actor who always ends up gettin not so good movies... my favorite is Demolition Man tho, :D i know its far from a great movie, but i just think its hilarious :p

I personally thought Blade's character in Trinity was not as good as it was in Blade 1 & 2, especially how he just gave up to the cops.
Well I for one am siding with Snipes. The guy is a talented actor and he basically needs to choose his movies carefully. Perhaps he should do something different for a change. Take a break from action or something. I always thought The Art Of War and Demolition Man were great for example.
FVD.

My favorite part is that he claims his fee should be tax exempt. I don't know about the rest you, but I have taxes deducted from MY pay and I don't make millions of dollars a year.
Damn, greedy bastard.

I think that line right there might be a huge part of why he's not a more bankable star. I hated that line and never forgot it, how brazen those motherfu**ers were for letting that get out in the trailers like it wasn't blatantly racist and offensive, and I never saw that movie or, come to think of it, anything else with Snipes in it except the Blade flicks. I realize it's just one line from one movie, but stuff like that sticks with people. Mr. Snipes insulted half his audience when he said that, and I doubt I was the only one whose opinion of him was forever damaged as a result.

Wesley Snipes has become irrelevant. He needs to step back and take supporting roles in films. He could be like Lawrence Fishburne (who I think is a highly underrated actor). Lawrence Fishburne has had the better career than Wesley Snipes. While Fishburne will never be the lead actor, he's made a career of being a supporting actor and he's pretty good at it too.
Snipes has failed as a lead actor (except for Blade 1 & 2).

Maybe Wesley could remake Swordfish with an all black cast and a white chick in Hallie's role. That might make his feel better. And actually I kinda liked Drop Zone more than Money Train.

He only wants the money now because he is in a paternity suit with a woman who claims wesley is the father of her child. Gonna need some money for child support.
