I know we have Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy thread already but this is a thread predicting the final score of reviews for rottentomatoes.com

My fan score is 86 percent but in reality I think it will do about 65 percent of good reviews on rottentomatoes.com

Between 50-65% is going to be a pretty plausible guess.

Well seeing as half the people giving thier judgement will be never read a british book, 15-30 y/o Americans who like dumb action movies 50-60% would be a good result.

I don't think it's going to get a very high score either. I'd say in the 60% range. Hitchhiker's is a real cult classic, and I don't think it's going to go over well with most audiences.

I will say around 56%

Many of us have a good feeling about it, but more so thinking about how the general public will take it.

Hmmm.....I'm really unsure about this one.

I dont think the general public will think of it as good as the hype is here.

Maybe.....56%

I hope it's above 50 to. This month on rottentomatoes.com the scores have been higher than the last few months, with such movies as Sin City, the Amityville Horror, and Fever Pitch doing well, and over the 50 percent rating.

I think April 29th will be the first weekend where we have two solid movies out
Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy 66 percent
XXX: The State of the Union 62 percent

I also think America has been interested into BBC Radio lately with such films like Lord of the Rings and now this Hitchiker's Guide, British series being made into movies might be a new wave.

First of all, who cares about ratings percentages, critics, etc.

Secondly, If you think that XXX will get over 50%, you are blinder than I thought you were, which is pretty bad.

Thirdly, I doubt general America even knows that Hitchhiker is from England. You give too much credit to people.

It's a v. British film, according to Empire's review. And it's set in England at first. And the main character is English.

I get concerned when Harry Knowles has reservations about a movie, since he gushes over just about everything, so I'm giving it a 68%.

This is definitely a film that I don't care what a critic thinks. There is little chance that they understand the brand of humor, or will get all the jokes.

But I still think critics will generally like it, and it will end up in the 60-70% fresh range

Ebert didn't like it. =\
I was actually kind of suprised. I was guessing he'd give it a thumbs up,
and Roeper would give a thumbs down.

There will be some parts in the movie where u wont understand why something is funny or why some of the characters are doing what there doing, but if u keep ur mind open and go with the flow of the movie. U will find movie speacial thats totally differnet and unique, and VERY FUNNY.
