Alright, so for drama we gotta do monologues. I'm doing Kill Bill and Fight Club, but I also wanna do Sin City. Does anyone know where I can get a transcript of the movie, or clips from the book? I was hoping to get one of either Marv at the beginning of the movie, or some more dialogue which includes this line: "It's time to prove to your friends that your worth a damn. Sometimes that means dying, sometimes that means killing a whole lot of people." Sin City is filled with narration and monologues, and I know that there's gotta be a transcript or something out there somewhere. I've been searching forever, but can't find it, though. Can someone help me out? That'd be one bad-ass monologue.

Marv: "There's no settling down. It's going to be blood for blood and by the gallons. It's the old days. The bad days. The all-or-nothing days. They're back."
Yellow Bastard: "Recognize my voice Hartigan? Recognize my voice you peice-of-sh** cop? I look different but i bet you can recognize my voice. I'd be insulted if you can't recognize my voice"
Dwight: "She didnt really chop his head off. She made a PEZ DISPENSER out of it."
The Salesmen (Josh Hartnett): "The silencer makes a whisper of the gunshot. I hold her close until she's gone. I'll never know what she was running from. I'll cash her check in the morning."

I hate to ask this in this tread, but seeing how this is the only sin city tread in the forum, I have to ask this here. I have 2 questions..
1. Josh Hartnetts character.. "The Salesman".. what was his story in the beggining? Why did he kill that girl, and what did he mean by "I'll never know what she was running from. I'll cash her check in the morning."???
2.What was the story with "The Salesman" and Becky at the end?

To answer your questions:
1) The beginning was to show how Basin City was like, how anything can happen there.
2) They added that scene in at the end for the movie only. It wasnt in any of the comics

Or
There's one answer to both questions: Hartnett is a contract killer
To be more informative:
1. He was paid to kill the girl in the red dress, and he gets paid when the jobs done.
2. Becky was a sellout to the hookers, so they must have paid him to kill her...I liked the way it ended the movie.

Josh Hartnett is paid to find hookers/prostitutes and kill them, to my understanding.
