Never! Salma is much hotter. In the acting stakes they are pretty much the same though.
Salma is taking on a serial killer role where she'll have to put on loads of wieght, word is, its an oscar hopefull for her.

Salma Hayek is much better actress then Penelope Cruz, she's got acting chops as beautiful too. Penelope Cruz is great in some movies she made but Hayek she's great what ever she does...

Hayek has always seemed more selective in her roles anyway. She dosen't do everything that comes her way. The only movies she does are ones she feels important about. Did't it take her something like 3 years to do Frida?, producing, getting it funded, filming, and releasing.
