It is inspired by the tribal art of the Pacific Northwest.
For those that didn't know, The subject is Raven stealing the sun. I wanted something tribal, and have always loved the totem art of that region. This is more Tlingit

(why I chose Raven or more importantly, Raven chose me is another story :) )

The Chinook legends of Thunderbird are pretty impressive as well.

If you have seen the first Spider-man Baseball jersey the Kanji is written on the right sleeve, it was just those two symbols and I really like how it looked when I drew it out and put it on my arm. It's just really coo.....and I'll post another pic of it after it has completely healed.
