Yup that's right for those who do not know, there's a live Hobbit show using puppets starting in Wellington next month from the 16th. NZ is going to be the first country to witness this event. Auckland will be next to experience the Hobbit from April 30.

I picked up a flyer for the production this morning while paying for a concert ticket (I'm seeing Joe Satriani tonight :D ). This looks interesting with the use of stunning sets, costumes etc. It's sure to be a big hit. I can't wait to check it out actually.

This Hobbit mania is never going to end! And if/when Jackson creates another masterpiece...IT WILL ONLY GROW!

My mate wants to develop a dance for the Silmarillion. He just needs to see the right people.

Yeah there has been. People have been doing live productions of The Hobbit for quite some time, usually children's plays with mainly children as the cast (the hobbits and dwarves, duh =P).

I guess this is kinda different if they're going to use quality puppetry. *shrugs*
