I heard they are rumors going around that Goonies 2 might get made. Personally, I think they should just let the first film on it's own merits and not even make G2. But, if they did I would still see it. Do you think it's going to happen anytime soon?

Seriously man. You gotta start browsing other threads and having simple conversation. You make way too many threads, and I'd say that well over half of them are kinda pointless. :meanie:

I heard rumors going around that even after two weeks, fantasticfour40 still hasn't learned to use the search function. Oh wait, that rumor is true. This is the last time I do this, and only because I'm a fan of the Goonies.

Come on, give the guy a break.. I seriously doubt that he's doing it to get on your nerves.. How about helping him in stead?

Souns familiar, have i heard of someone like that before? :)
Where did that come from?
Interesting ;)
Goonies 2?
No way dude. They can't destroy an amazing movie by making a sequel. Haven't we had enough trying to survive through the making of son of the mask?

The sequel has been on and off for awhile now. It seems possible that it could happen.

This sequel is pretty unneccesary and would probably piss of the fans of the original one. like Son of the Mask will do this friday. -pitchforks ready-

I think that Son of the Mask and The Goonies 2 are irrelevant comparisons. When they had the entire original cast of The Goonies and the original director ready to return, that alone makes it different from Son of the Mask, which has a single person back for the sequel (Ben Stein).

Sequels to classic movies don't piss me off. Personally I think this would be a stupid remake and I am a HUGE fan of the original but if they made a crappy sequel, who cares? It doesn't ruin the original.

Actually, I didnt even like the first one. All the kids were annoying. And what would they do for the sequel?
Even if they had all the same kids, they're grown up.
Have the grown ups go on a treasure hunt?
Of if their kids go, whats to point of having the original cast return? As cameos? dumb, I think.
you guys actually liked the goonies? wtf..

Some people crack me up on this board. They remind me of my fiancee. I'll be eating something and she'll be like "Do you like that."I'll say ''No I don't like it I'm just licking the plate clean because I hate it''. If were talking good about a movie guess what we actually like it. Wow insane that people have different opinions.

the movie was good when you were a kid, because kids didn't know what a good movie was. now that i'm a bit older, i can see that this movie sucks. think of how little kids today would like, say, son of the mask - 10 years from now, they'll see how stupid it really is.
kids entering a cave with this retarded looking thing...what a great movie.
oh and, i see that you didn't even reply to the messages before mine. was I even talking to you?

I'll admit that Goonies probably isn't as good to me now as it was when I was younger... but it's still a fun and silly movie, IMO. I love seeing all those actors at such a young age as well.

You guys were barely born when this movie came out. No one's expecting you to like it. Unless you grew up during the 80s, it's probably not really interesting for you to hear Cyndi Lauper in the background of a film.

I really liked The Goonies when I was a child. But now, I recently saw it again, and its not as great as I though it was. But it's still awsome, and hasent aged badly, it will live on as a classic for many more generations.

Maybe you liked it when you were a kid, but look at movies today aimed at kids that most adults hate. That's just what the goonies is. So it's a childhood memory, who cares? That's exactly what they designed it for. Now that you're grown up, they'll make a 2nd one, and they know the "fans" will go see it, even though most don't like it now (but it's a child favorite! OMG YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!) and bring their kids.
