When the suit pics actually came oput many people were shocked, it was not what they expected and when I saw it I thought wait a minute, this Is Batman Begins. Suit making is a process too so maybe there'll be development. Now I'm beggining to think that it'll change durimg the movie. He'll damage it or something and design something new entirely. Then I saw the trailer with Bruce Wayne sparying and making a new suit... hmmmm... could be a possibility eh?

well, in the cartoon.. "Batman, Mask of The Phantasim", which basically is another story of how batman became batman, bruce goes out crimefighting with nothing more then some weapons in his utility belt, a black coat, and a black ski mask.. after he sabbatoged some criminals from stealing some stuff in this wearhouse, bruce and alfred are talking, and he tells alfred, "I had the edge, I could feel it. There was only one thing wrong.. THEY WERN'T AFRAID OF ME! Iv'e got to strike fear in them from the start." So I think when he remembers when he feel into the cave that they show in all the trailers, and see's the bat coming toward him, and how it scared the s*** out of him, he uses that for inspiration to scare the criminals in the form of BATMAN.... but I could be wrong I guess....

He wasn't making a new suit...he was painting the suit.

In the film, it'll be one suit, which'll be slightly modifed three times:

The original suit that was made for Military use...it's clear, and he never actually wears it.

The suit after Batman paints it black. He only wears this once.

Then the suit with the bat symbol and gauntlets added.

But it's not really as you put it, the suit really doesn't "evolve" with Batman going out night after night and trying different things out with it, making changes, etc. He really only has one design planned for it...it just takes him a bit (like 10 minutes in the film) to complete it.

So you see, it's not really multiple suits; it's just one, that's enhanced a few times.

But its still a new suit, physically it is anyway. Enhnacements are there for storytelling/movie reasons. Enhancements are actual changes to the suit so it is a new suit.

Yeah, I guess...but it really isn't presented that way in the film. Just like how the Batmobile's painted, but it's not a new car...

I know but that is different to the suit, they can't modify it without people noticing it CConn. (Hey where did the numbers at the end of your name go? :D)

Yeah, that's about right.

How'd I get rid of the numbers? I registered a new account when I had numbers removed from my name at the Hype (thank you Dew k. Mosi)...

Hey, you joined in Feb, how do you know about the numbers?

Because he's Boy Wonder '04 at the Hype, and probably knows you there.

Interesting post you made about the suit modifications though, appreciated.

EDIT - By the way, do you mind if I use the avatar in your second gallery with the Sin City rain? I would of course host it in my account so I wouldn't steal your bandwith.

I think what you must remember is that this is Batman 'Begins' and so the suit factor is definitley going to make enhancements so if we don't see it in this movie we will probably see it in the sequel.

I hope something like this happens. That exact quote too.

Yes, as far as the Bats are concerened in this film it will probably be becasue of the intimidation element of the charecter.
A Bat, a creature of the night... the Dark Knight...

You see how this suit looks different to the new pic we've seen from the tv spot trailer... will somebody post a pic of it, it's the one with Batman crouching down and a cage in the background...

Yeah, that. Now if you look just under the arm you can see how bulky it is! There are going to be many action scenes, after all this is Batman, but that's when I think Batman will have a more flexible suit on. During poses, the worst thing is when Batman is looking menacing and intimidating an then you see a huge bulk underneath his armpit! Look at the pic above Nado's (my last post) his suit looks more solid... that is what we want to see. Hmmm... well, we'll just have to wait and see, of course they'll make enhancements but we'll see how the story develops it... thats if it does...

I'm not too concerned with the suit. I'm just relieved that Batman can turn his neck for once. ;)

Daywalker
02-13-2005, 04:35 PM
Well I can think of plenty of other stuff that could go wrong when desinging and making the suit and that's why it's not just the neck that bothers me... Batman Forever and B&R taught me that... What a disgrace thme 2 movies were to Batman and the suit... what the **** were they thinking!?

Batman Forever was fine. For what it was it was a fairly well done film

Also the reason the suit looks diff is one is still the prototype

I enjoyed "Batman Forever" a whole hell of a lot. Though Tommy could have toned it down a bit.

Still, it was a little too over-the-top. You know it when you're outdoing Jim Carrey in that field. I guess it was just the tone of "Batman Forever".

I liked Batman Forever quite a bit, and to be honest, I didn't mind Batman and Robin. I think it's the worst by far, but, I enjoyed watching.
