You guys must really be behind on the news....the movie is now much longer than originally planned and they are seriously considering a theatrical release instead of straight to DVD. This was after a storm of great great great publicity from fans. Especailly North American ones. Japanese fans love every bit of FF and although I do too there are many NA fans who preferr VII over all the others and think a lot of the others ones are bad. So VII has the biggest fan base for Square so they are using it to their advantage. Thank god for that. :)

Advent Children Report
Update by: Cloud Strider. Wednesday, February 2 2005.

According to Tetsuya Nomura’s site, Advent Children will be pushed again, making the ‘first quarter of 2005’ obsolete. However, it is for the best. For the past year or so, we have all heard that Advent Children would be around 80 to 90 minutes long, but in Nomura’s own words, “It seems like it just might exceed 90 minutes now...” and in other portions of the report, “Why, it's actually more of a full-length CG film rather than a movie”, “…it's swiftly becoming something that's in the scale of a full-length feature film”.
More information on the report will be added shortly to the Advent Children section of this site.

Thats not necessarily true, I got a survey and so did my friend, from Square Enix, asking all the typical questions about their games, BUT there was a special section on Advent Children and it asked if we would be willing to see it in the theatres. If they should spend the extra time to find American voice actors and dubb the whole movie, that would include fixing it so the lips and mouth match the English words. The really are considering it because this movie was supposed to be out last year. It hasn't been released anywhere yet.

Hey If they put any Uwe Boll Film out in theaters they can't be picky about what they release

Yeah it is, the survery even mentions that if we as fans wanted them to do that, we would have to wait longer, they covered all the bases.

Believe me, I'm following this thing like its my child, I haven't been so excited over something like this in a long time, only LOTR ever made me this obsessed.

Dammit that looks amazing. Most of the characters are there too. We finally get to see Yuffie and Cid. But where is Cait Sith??? He may look cartoony but he's still a part of the FFVII universe.

Reeves, the guy who controlled Cait Sith is in it, just not the puppet form. At least I think so, I might be wrong, there is a game coming out after this movie called Final Fantasy VII Dirge of Cerverous(sp?) starring Vincent and I know Reeves plays a big part in that but I am pretty sure he is in the movie too.

Cool, i really needed to know because i extremely enjoy playing the FF Series and discovering about AC has got me extremely interested. Apparently the Translated Version will be available in NA during Summer 2005 while in europe, it wont come out till 2005/2006 so my best bet is to try and get it *illegaly* from the good ol' internet.
Can someone post some info on the FF7 game thats coming out after AC is released?

FF Spirit Within bored the crap out of me.

I love FF and mastered ALL the games, but that movie....

oh man..

I hope the new one is a little quicker paced, and the characters do more than fire guns and die.

This movie is gonna kick ass!

For some reason it's gonna be for the PSP, weird.

I have two guesses who the guy in the wheelchair is.

Necross
02-12-2005, 11:26 PM
It will be sold for the PSP and for regular DVD players

I'm positive the guy in the wheelchair is Rufus, and Reeves (Cait Sith) isn't in it, he is gonna be in Dirge of Cerverous though.

The Trailer looks awsome...

...can some one tell me if this I am going to have had to play FF7 to get this film cause i really wanna see it

or does it incorperate the game stoery line and continue it on cause i saw a bit in the trailer that matched part of the game where he was putting some girl into water!

They have two confirmed flashbacks, but it looks like there are really three. You still might be in the dark about some things, but if you get the basic plot points from someone or somewhere on the internet you should be good.

Just watched the four trailers, and agree that the third one is the best by far. I can't wait for Avent Children to come out. For some reason I don't see it getting a release in the theaters, too bad because it would be the best way to see it IMO.
