CNN reports emphysema. I didn't think he had anything, but he was really good about keeping his retirement life private. It sure is a surprise loss to the entertainment world. It's amazing to think of all the comedic greats that we wouldn't have today without him. RIP Johnny.

I just got done watching Dateline NBC's tribute to Carson and I saw the part of his final tonight show episode when Bette Midler sang to Johnny Carson... I won't be ashamed to admit that that got me a bit misty-eyed...

He took that big Slawson Cut-off in the sky.
Many a late night was spent with my parents, and later on my own, watching Johnny. That final episode, and especially the one with Bette Midler the night before, had our entire house balling.
Thank you Johnny. RIP

The word legend is thrown around a lot these days.
But it's all you can call him. A legend, plain and simple.
RIP Johnny.

Jay Leno will have a tribute show in honor of Carson. He was supposed to have Paris "the Skank" Hilton on tonight, but it won't happen tonight.
