Is there to be an eighth book?

I have heard that there might be an eighth book in the Harry Potter series. I guess its supposed to tell about life after Hogwarts. I don't know if this is true so can you give me some info when you read this?

A: If you mean more novels, then I think it highly unlikely. I’ve got enough story for seven books and I never planned to carry the story beyond the end of book seven. I might do an eighth book for charity, a kind of encyclopaedia of the world so that I could use all the extra material that’s not in the books.

Thats if he survives of course, which I don't think will happen. In fact I wan't to see him die just to see the reaction from the girls on this board :hehe:

this would be really awesome. shows what harry and everyone else does after they leave hogwarts. this is something to hope for.

as much as I regret it, I don't want, and don't think, her to make any more books after the seventh. That's sounds more like something the movie-business would do, make more crappy sequels. Sometimes it's just over, people will have to learn to accept it.
I'm actually more excited about what new novels Rowling will make after Harry Potter, maybe a more adult line of books, but I do hope she will keep making fantasy.

Like I said before (why did this thread get dragged up)

If she does make another one it will be for charity and take the form of the books she already made for charity, things like Magical Beasts and what not...i dont think she will continue the story after the 7th tho
