So is the name James Bond 007 not a person but a codename? Whenever a new actor plays the title name, is that not a continuing of the previous actor's stint? Because the replacing Bond does not in any way look like the one before. But if Bond is a person wouldn't that individual age through the films?
With every new actor portraying Bond, the films series start anew with no ties of the previous person. Someone clarify this if Colin guy gets the license.
A black James Bond, new approach most definitely.

We don't need a different approach, we just need better more plausible scripts.

But whenever they choose a new bond they are taking a different approach.
People say that Roger Moore was lighter, Sean was darker, Timothy was even edgier and Brosnan was the most balanced. Not mentioned George since he was only given one shot.
