With all the remakes doing successfully well, do you thinkt they will eventually remake the ultimate classic..Halloween? Imagine the role Laurie - Jamie Lee Curtis - replaced by some blond bimbo..Ugh, I hate even to think about it! I mean, how modern can they modernize it? I watch Halloween and it still feels modern. I mean, yeah the clothes are 70ish, but it doesnt feel old or looks corny. Watchu think?

It would be a crime to remake Halloween

No. I rather see them add a sequel. The original Halloween is a classic. Hollywood should leave it at that.

I don't really see the point. Halloween already has been effectively remade with its 8 sequels. The only difference is having Michael escape at the beginning. No I'd rather see another pointless sequel rather than a pointless remake.

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before we see a prequel though.

Personally, I think the Halloween series has been beaten to death. Leave it alone, no remakes, no sequels.

No. Just no. And may you be punished for even suggesting it.

I mean, what if some Hollywood executive comes on the site and sees this? You'd be giving him ideas. Stop it now.

They're remaking enough Carpenter flicks. If you have to remake a horror film, how about one that wasn't John Carpenter?

I'm not suggesting it, I'm saying what if it happens. With all the remakes on the way, and hollywood running out of ideas, it just seems likely that it may happen. I pray to God that it doesn't tho!

Yet if that hypothetical Hollywood executive mentioned above just happens to log on, you'd still be giving him ideas.

Go to your room, and don't come out until you've learned your lesson.

NOOOOOO
Do not touch this great Horror Flick.
It's a All Time Great Classic.
Concentrate on the 9th installment.
Long live Michael Myers.

I'd rather see a remake done of Halloween 3: Season of the Witch. I thought it had real potential but fell short, and was doomed by being called Halloween 3, without Myers in it, which turned the fanbase rabidly against it. But still it was ambitious to try and go in a completely different direction with a franchise...anyway, call it The Season of the Witch, cut down on the cheese factor, and turn up the paranoia level, and it could be cool.

With the exception of Halloween and The Thing , most Carpenter Flicks deserve to be remade.
He hasn't made a good film in at least a Decade.

I don't really get the thing about remakes, why? There's already a real movie, why make one again..? And especially a really famous movie like Halloween..? Plus I don't like the real Halloween movies a lot, so why make more of them, and the same story..?
